Eric's Post-Stream Notes 2: - We now know the cause of death was DEFINITELY poison, which leaves Hollyleaf further out of the question (And it'd just be bad writing at this point to suddenly have her be the culprit). Suspects are primarily Jayfeather, Leafpool, and Sandstorm. But I still believe it's Sandstorm, because funny 11037 memes, and the fact that her sprite pretty much pins the blame on her directly. - Notice how the Select A Cat option hovers over specific cats for an extended period of time. Each of these are suspects WE as an audience could have. Hollyleaf for people who read the books. Leafpool and Jayfeather, because they're medicine cats and have the extensive knowledge of herbs and such to be able to poison Ashfur. And... Sandstorm. Who has all the hallmarks of being the culprit by the bruises and stains on her paw which indicate something happened, and the leaves and sticks in her fur, which means she must've done something recently at the VERY LEAST. - As someone who's extensively watched Danganronpa and knows many of its ins and outs - Hollyleaf literally CANNOT be the murderer at this point. We can also pin this down due to the fact that the DIRECTOR of this series is a Danganronpa fan, and thus THEY know how a case goes. If Hollyleaf was the murderer just due to the books, all the intentional clues left through spriting, the way certain cats act (Including Sandstorm), and the clues left around for us to see would be POINTLESS. They could just make it clear as day for those who read the books - And yet, it's not. We know it's not, because the poisoning isn't something she could've done. - Leafpool and Jayfeather can't be the culprits, either. Jayfeather is clear for a reason - He's BLIND. We know this from a meta perspective, and we know this from an in-universe perspective. Sure, he could've slipped deathberries into Ashfur's prey - But there's something we need to consider. Ashfur KNOWS Jayfeather could pull something like that. He has the advantage over Jayfeather for that, and wouldn't let his guard down so easily around someone that could retaliate like that. - Leafpool's also clear, because she COULDN'T have known about the incident, as shown by the trial. For leafpool…I mean, she’s good at keeping secrets, she could be just acting surprised and like she didn’t know, but her reaction seems a too honest for it to be fake, so it’s probably not her. Sandstorm on the other hand…or should I say p- no that was bad. She doesn’t seem like she has a motive, other than protecting her family. She didn’t seem surprised when the clan was told about the secret, so she probably knew. The most likely situation is that she snuck out to meet Ashfur, then tried to poison him with an herb, and when he didn’t take it, she attacked him and forced him to eat it.
ITS SO GOOD- originally this whole thing was going to be 1 part and we were STRUGGLING to pick a thumbnail. So glad we got to pick 4 because they were all amazing!
Man I gotta give props to the voice actors, the raw EMOTION in this, these performances have GOT to be practically professional level I also gotta give props to Brambleclaw’s actor, his line deliveries are raw, emotional and painful and I truly prefer this scene over the cannon books. Fantastic job!!

It’s obvious it’s Sandstorm! The rabbit blood on Ashfur’s head proves it! Edit: Let’s take notice of the stain on her front left paw. Brambleclaw said during the investigation that if a cat got Nightshade on their paws, then they couldn’t wash it off for a few days because they risk poisoning themselves and the stain looks awfully suspicious. Also, during her patrol with Thornclaw and Dustpelt, she went away for a bit to do some hunting. Maybe on her way back, she witnessed and overheard the conversation between Hollyleaf and Ashfur and decided to do something about it. The rabbit blood on his head could be her one fatal mistake. And, notice how she’s been very defensive of her family during this. Like when Brambleclaw asked Squirrelflight about Ashfur and she immediately shut him down, and; just in the previous episode, the one who was defending Hollyleaf THE MOST. Now, her being Hollyleaf’s grandma could explain it, but with how defensive she’s being, I feel like she’s trying to guide the investigation to her or something.
She would most likely be trying to protect her daughter and her daughter's kits, and as in Firestar's Quest, Cinderpelt teaches her basic herbs before the journey@@sugarrmoon

i might have the suspect. and i have evidence to back it up, too. the two most suspicious cats were jayfeather and sandstorm, but here’s why i believe it’s the latter. in part one, sandstorm states that she was going on a HUNTING patrol. on hunting patrols, it’s known to split up to find better prey. in my theory, she splits up, catches a rabbit, goes to ashfur wherever he is, feeds it to him, yet before she stuffs a type of poison (most likely water hemlock) in the rabbit. then, they would drag the body to the lake, slit the throat (which mind you, is one with one paw: and on her design, a paw is stained with PINK. aka, blood.) THAT’S WHY JAYFEATHER SMELLED RABBUT BLOOD NEAR ASHFUR’S HEAD. sandstorm has twigs and junk all over her fur, which would explain a bit. overall, SANDSTORM is the culprit. if you have any more evidence, leave it in the replies.
Just lemme correct you. Sandstorm wasn't in a hunting patrol, otherwise she would've been questioned earlier. Sandstorm was in the midnight patrol, and Dustpelt said she went hunting during that time and soon came back. But Sandstorm never mentioned going hunting when she was talking with Brambleclaw, which is suspicious.

A large part of me still believes Hollyleaf is ashfur’s murderer because well she killed him in the books and even if it was poison, she could have still done it. If the events leading up to this is the exact same as the books then everyone in the clan knows about a poisonous herb. In the books a snake gets into camp and kills honeyfern, in response to this Firestar asks Leafpool to cover and entrances the snake could have used with death berries/ yew berries. Every. single. cat. is made aware of these berries, their locations, and how lethal they are. Literally any cat could have grabbed one from one of those locations in camp and fed it to Ashfur, they don’t *need* to be a medicine cat to have known that. Not to mention in most cases the berries were stuffed into fresh kill to temp the snake into eating them, anyone could’ve walked up to Ashfur and given him some of the poisoned prey, *especially* Hollyleaf.

I knew a med cat poisoned him My theory: Hollyleaf slashed his neck and thought she killed him and ran off. Leafpool found him. He told her what happened, so to protect Hollyleaf, she tricked Ashfur into eating poison to silence him.
I mean, Jayfeather did just screw his clearness out by JUST NOW MENTIONING IT. I mean , man you could've just said it at the beginning. Like jeez man. thats SUSPICIOUS
So i did some digging and i've narrowed down what exactly the poison used was, and knowing what poison was used opens up who it could've been. There are two possibilities each one has their merits and each one suggests a different culprit. note: i'm sourcing from the warriors wiki and some quick research on deathly poisons in warriors. I highly doubt they would make a whole new poison thats never mentioned in the series for this personally. 1: Death berries The obvious choice. If Jayfeather is continued to be suspected and is the culprit or somehow involved: there are death berries tucked away in the medicine den after the snake incident. The death berries in the medicine den suggests it was a medicine cat IF death berries were used. If my memory serves in the books they sometimes go in between descriptions for what it does. The only one that matters is the foaming at the mouth, and contortion of the limbs (look at how Ashfurs body is posed, contortion of the limbs seems possible) 2: Water hemlock It can be found in 'wet marshy areas' along with 'near water'. Its possible (while not described) its found by the lake, which opens up the possibility of it being ANY of our suspects. If its by the lake they'd have easy access to it. It also makes it easier for us to say its one of the most suspicious cats by far right now: sandstorm. It fits with the timeline of events we've already been given, she could've easily snatched them and her alibi could still work out for her. She would only need to slip away quickly, get the herbs close by, make ashfur eat the herbs, add a scratch mark for good measure or whatever reason, leave. Basically in short terms: the culprit is either Jayfeather or Sandstorm (based on current evidence), who it is hinges on the poison used. Hopefully this is helpful for the people theory crafting like all hell rn lol
While this video is great. It's still so infuriating to hear Holly prattle on and on about "code break this, Starclan that" when in book canon (and possibly this video's canon) STARCLAN themselves approve/order/manipulate Squilf and Leafpool to lies! And they still have the gull to try sending them to dark forest for that while Ashfur sit there being an incel in Starclan.
The fact that when choosing a cat, Brambleclaw paused on Squirrelflight for afew seconds longer than every one else. VA's did crazy, and I am loving this.
My Theory: Hollyleaf tried and Sandstorm succeeded. Hollyleaf may think she succeeded, she seems to think she's guilty. Ashfur could've had some kind of disease or infection as seen in his pupils, I haven't played Danganronpa but from what I've seen there was some sort of infection or something that induced a state like that. It could be rabies, as there is precedent for the idea with Bramblestar theorized to have rabies in the beginning of TBC. Lionblaze probably thinks it's Hollyleaf, Jayfeather believes it's Hollyleaf and the two are trying to protect her. Another option is Leafpool. After watching, Jayfeather is very suspicious. Him or Sand did it.
My theory is that Hollyleaf was arguing with Ashfur, attacked him in rage, and Sandstorm witnessed it. That's why they suggested it was at the heat of the moment, and why Sandstorm seemed kind of sad when Leafpool suggested it again. "Something the culprit couldn't help at the time..."
Alright, i certainly believe AshFurs murderer was HollyLeaf because, in part two or one when BrambleClaw was asking HollyLeaf if she saw any signs of who was the murderer, she didn’t answer and said BrambleClaw was trying to accuse her of the murder. But really, BrambleClaw just wanted a clue, while JayFeather has proof it wasn’t him, even LeafPool said that JayFeather was in the medicine den all day. And LionBlaze was hunting, as a warrior should. So it would have to be HollyLeaf.
maybe, but there’s many clues that other people have picked up that it might be sandstorm in the comments of the other videos, and if it was hollyleaf she might’ve had some sort of help. At least that’s what I’m thinking because I think they changed who it is for copyright reasons and for a more interesting reveal 👀

Insane performances, and I love all the art, great work everybody, the music is incredible too :D Hope we'll be seeing more of this type of stuff in the future even after this trial! My bets are on Cinderheart, personally. She's got medecine cat knowledge from her reincarnation, I think Lionblaze fought with Ashfur hence the slash on his throat, yet didn't finish the kill (maybe it was a battle in the water / somebody else popped up) and then Cinderheart finished the business with death berries. I'm perfectly certain Hollyleaf was trying to take the blame for somebody by making herself seem so insanely suspicious, and that must have been either a sibling, family member or her best friend.
i actually LOVE the idea of JAYFEATHER being the killer. He IS A MEDICINE CAT AND IS IN A PROPECY. He CANNOT be exiled, he is more powerfull than STARCLAN.

i might have the suspect. and i have evidence to back it up, too.
the two most suspicious cats were jayfeather and sandstorm, but here’s why i believe it’s the latter.
in part one, sandstorm states that she was going on a HUNTING patrol. on hunting patrols, it’s known to split up to find better prey. in my theory, she splits up, catches a rabbit, goes to ashfur wherever he is, feeds it to him, yet before she stuffs a type of poison (most likely water hemlock) in the rabbit. then, they would drag the body to the lake, slit the throat (which mind you, is one with one paw: and on her design, a paw is stained with PINK. aka, blood.) THAT’S WHY JAYFEATHER SMELLED RABBUT BLOOD NEAR ASHFUR’S HEAD. sandstorm has twigs and junk all over her fur, which would explain a bit.
overall, SANDSTORM is the culprit. if you have any more evidence, leave it in the replies.
Just lemme correct you. Sandstorm wasn't in a hunting patrol, otherwise she would've been questioned earlier. Sandstorm was in the midnight patrol, and Dustpelt said she went hunting during that time and soon came back. But Sandstorm never mentioned going hunting when she was talking with Brambleclaw, which is suspicious.

Now let's see the reactions to hollyleaf basically admitting they're not the kits of squirrelflight
A large part of me still believes Hollyleaf is ashfur’s murderer because well she killed him in the books and even if it was poison, she could have still done it. If the events leading up to this is the exact same as the books then everyone in the clan knows about a poisonous herb. In the books a snake gets into camp and kills honeyfern, in response to this Firestar asks Leafpool to cover and entrances the snake could have used with death berries/ yew berries. Every. single. cat. is made aware of these berries, their locations, and how lethal they are. Literally any cat could have grabbed one from one of those locations in camp and fed it to Ashfur, they don’t *need* to be a medicine cat to have known that. Not to mention in most cases the berries were stuffed into fresh kill to temp the snake into eating them, anyone could’ve walked up to Ashfur and given him some of the poisoned prey, *especially* Hollyleaf.

My theory: Hollyleaf slashed his neck and thought she killed him and ran off. Leafpool found him. He told her what happened, so to protect Hollyleaf, she tricked Ashfur into eating poison to silence him.

this is incredible, a masterpiece. kudos to the va's and the artists and animators who worked on this!!
So i did some digging and i've narrowed down what exactly the poison used was, and knowing what poison was used opens up who it could've been.
There are two possibilities each one has their merits and each one suggests a different culprit.
note: i'm sourcing from the warriors wiki and some quick research on deathly poisons in warriors. I highly doubt they would make a whole new poison thats never mentioned in the series for this personally.
1: Death berries
The obvious choice. If Jayfeather is continued to be suspected and is the culprit or somehow involved: there are death berries tucked away in the medicine den after the snake incident. The death berries in the medicine den suggests it was a medicine cat IF death berries were used. If my memory serves in the books they sometimes go in between descriptions for what it does. The only one that matters is the foaming at the mouth, and contortion of the limbs (look at how Ashfurs body is posed, contortion of the limbs seems possible)
2: Water hemlock
It can be found in 'wet marshy areas' along with 'near water'. Its possible (while not described) its found by the lake, which opens up the possibility of it being ANY of our suspects. If its by the lake they'd have easy access to it. It also makes it easier for us to say its one of the most suspicious cats by far right now: sandstorm. It fits with the timeline of events we've already been given, she could've easily snatched them and her alibi could still work out for her. She would only need to slip away quickly, get the herbs close by, make ashfur eat the herbs, add a scratch mark for good measure or whatever reason, leave.
Basically in short terms: the culprit is either Jayfeather or Sandstorm (based on current evidence), who it is hinges on the poison used.
Hopefully this is helpful for the people theory crafting like all hell rn lol
While this video is great. It's still so infuriating to hear Holly prattle on and on about "code break this, Starclan that" when in book canon (and possibly this video's canon) STARCLAN themselves approve/order/manipulate Squilf and Leafpool to lies!
And they still have the gull to try sending them to dark forest for that while Ashfur sit there being an incel in Starclan.
The fact that when choosing a cat, Brambleclaw paused on Squirrelflight for afew seconds longer than every one else. VA's did crazy, and I am loving this.
My Theory:
Hollyleaf tried and Sandstorm succeeded. Hollyleaf may think she succeeded, she seems to think she's guilty.
Ashfur could've had some kind of disease or infection as seen in his pupils, I haven't played Danganronpa but from what I've seen there was some sort of infection or something that induced a state like that. It could be rabies, as there is precedent for the idea with Bramblestar theorized to have rabies in the beginning of TBC.
Lionblaze probably thinks it's Hollyleaf, Jayfeather believes it's Hollyleaf and the two are trying to protect her.
Another option is Leafpool.
After watching, Jayfeather is very suspicious. Him or Sand did it.
My theory is that Hollyleaf was arguing with Ashfur, attacked him in rage, and Sandstorm witnessed it. That's why they suggested it was at the heat of the moment, and why Sandstorm seemed kind of sad when Leafpool suggested it again.

Alright, i certainly believe AshFurs murderer was HollyLeaf because, in part two or one when BrambleClaw was asking HollyLeaf if she saw any signs of who was the murderer, she didn’t answer and said BrambleClaw was trying to accuse her of the murder. But really, BrambleClaw just wanted a clue, while JayFeather has proof it wasn’t him, even LeafPool said that JayFeather was in the medicine den all day. And LionBlaze was hunting, as a warrior should. So it would have to be HollyLeaf.
maybe, but there’s many clues that other people have picked up that it might be sandstorm in the comments of the other videos, and if it was hollyleaf she might’ve had some sort of help. At least that’s what I’m thinking because I think they changed who it is for copyright reasons and for a more interesting reveal 👀

My bets are on Cinderheart, personally. She's got medecine cat knowledge from her reincarnation, I think Lionblaze fought with Ashfur hence the slash on his throat, yet didn't finish the kill (maybe it was a battle in the water / somebody else popped up) and then Cinderheart finished the business with death berries.
I'm perfectly certain Hollyleaf was trying to take the blame for somebody by making herself seem so insanely suspicious, and that must have been either a sibling, family member or her best friend.
