it could of been ashfur himself, as you can kinda hear his voice in the "star clan" cats voice. this would make sense as ashfur in the books gets sent to starclan FIRST before going to the dark forest. Also about the voice thing somebody made me aware of this as they also commentated on the second episode of WKA.
SquirrelFlight’s breakdown was PHENOMENAL. Everything from the art, to the editing, but especially the voice acting. You could hear the pain and heartache in her voice and thats a very difficult thing to achieve

@@ellaboyd-ym3is I'm inclined to think it was Ashfur trying to get revenge once more-- after all Sandstorm IS Squirrelflight's mother and his whole thing is about making her feel the same pain he felt. Also, to him, it would have looked like Sandstorm was deliberately trying to kill him due to her aggression. However, the amber eyes that continuously show up are also super suspicious and they match Tigerstar's well.

My theory: jayfeather set himself up to be seen as the killer. The dark forest is really who set up the trial. They coerced a cat to kill Ashfur, and since Jayfeather can dream walk, he saw this happen. Like the quote, he planned to sacrifice himself to save them.

That’s a really good theory! I think too that there is more to that strange “starclan cat”. And that Starclan had tried to warn Jayfeather, and maybe us as viewer’s too. We see ripple’s of water as they speak that sentence.

My theory is that this trial was run by Ashfur, who came back from the dark forest. Jayfeather saying, “Sandstorm run, this isn’t starclan” 48:20 proves this because he was the only one who knew what happening. His choice to further sacrifice himself forshadows that he knew the punishment and that’s why he wanted sacrifice himself regardless.

for anyone curious at the end, it was ashfur and sandstorm that died :). The cat wasn’t starclan, as jayfeather said. the starclan cat outline turned red at the end, signifying that it was a darkforest cat, I’m pretty sure. The dark forest was planning this.
All Ashfur really did was take advantage of his incredible luck.
He took advantage of Hawkfrost's power hunger to destroy Squirrelflight's father. He took advantage of the fire to destroy Squirrelflight's children. He took advantage of Squirrelflight revealing her secret to destroy Squirrelflight's reputation. And he took advantage of his convenient death to destroy Squirrelflight's mother.

Based on the sound design right at the end, my theory is that Sandstorm’s execution will be via fire (I could hear what I’m pretty sure was crackling flames). This also works to bring things full circle back to the fire scene itself, and fits with what my roommate (who knows more about DR than me) is Monokuma’s MO-killing culprits with what they love. Sandstorm loves FIREstar.

Me rewatching the end credits i figured tigerclaw/star tricked everyone by pretending to be a starclan cat and "threatening" to cut of connection. The big question is why did the real starclan do nothing they just sat there and watch knowing what would happen😢. STARCLAN IS THE REAL CULPRIT THEY KILLED SANDSTORM YET SHE WANTED TO PROTECT THE CLAN. STARCLAN IS USELESS IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT THEY DIDNT HELP THEY OR EVEN WARN THE ABOUT THIS. All I have to say now is sandstorm is a good mother and was doing what any other mom would do to protect their kite
I believe that whoever pretended to be a starclan cat *actually* cut off connection,and thus starclan couldn't contact anyone. They tried to reach Brambleclaw in part 1, but that didn't go too well

THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY BONE CHILLING AT THE END; THE OMINOUS "I win" WAS SO PERFECTLY PLACED AND THE DISTORTED NOISES IN THE BEGINNING AND BRAMBLE STOPPED TALKING EACH TIME HE BACKED UP HIS CLAIMS ABOUT SANDSTORM. EVERYONE WHO WORKED ON THIS DID ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
THAT WAS INSANE! I literally can’t wait for the next episode to find out what’s going to happen to thunderclan. That raised so many questions like: “what is going to happen to thunderclan?”, “was that really starclan cat?”, “what is the punishment?”, “why did it say ‘survivors remaining’ at the end?”, “why did it say that only 14 cats survived survived? Were the cats who died Sandstorm and Ashfur? Is that why their silhouettes were the only ones blacked out, because they were the ones who died?”, “is starclan going to kill cats who break the code?”, “are the other clans going to get punished too?”, “d i d s a n d s t o r m r e a l l y d e s e r v e t h i s ? “

Hold on, I just thought of something else. This fits like the broken code almost *_too_* well. They said near the end that all cats who broke the code would be severely punished, and correct me if I’m wrong but I think I remember from when I read the Broken Code that ashfur possessed bramblestar and then punished all cats who broke the code in an extreme way, just like what it seems like is going on here. I think the “starclan cat” was the dark forest, and they were trying to ruin the clans.
*_ANOTHER NEW THEORY:_*
I think the starclan cat was actually tigerstar. I did some analyzing and rewatching this to figure out the shape of the “starclan” cat and their voice was just like that of tigerstar’s. (Just watched the new livestream and it confirmed it was tigerstar) But the thing is, the starclan cat in the first episode is an entirely different cat then the one that appeared in this episode. The one in the first episode almost entirely represented ashfur. If you listen closely to the voice and their appearance it fits ashfur perfectly. Also, the cat changed when squirrelflight said “what sandstorm did is for the good of the clan”. The shape of the cat and their facial expressions changed after that. It looked almost as if it was a starclan cat trying to stop the dark forest cat. Something weird is going on here…

Also, just learned in the new stream that the whole point of this was tigerstar’s way of trying to harm firestar was much as he could by killing his mate and convincing everyone he murdered ashfur on purpose when he new it was an accident
Also, apparently at the end of each episode it was tigerstar who said “thank you for watching” to represent that he thanked the viewers for watching thunderclan get destroyed and doing nothing to help them

Guys guys… what if it was manslaughter. So Jay’ told Holly’ he was going to put poppy seeds in Ash’s food but the poppy seeds were in contact with the poisonous items because he messed the storage around. So Ash fell dead in front of Holly. Holly knowing how this happened tried to cover up Jay’s tracks, with the claw mark and the drowning.
I mean anybody can make a story up as long as it fits the evidence

this is one of the best warriors fan projects ever made, im serious when i say this i am FLOORED with the production and writing for this, out of my years being in the warrior fandom this has never left an impression this hard on me. No map, no au, nothing has made me this mindblown. This has seriously taken me aback, i applaud every artist, voice actor, writer and everyone else who has worked on this series. This was an amazing experience.

Sandstorm was my favorite character ever since I was 9 years old and beginning to read the books so I actually cried when she died. She was my comfort character. Sandstorm’s motif saying what if it could have been an accident was great writing.The way Squrrielflight was in denial when Brambleclaw said that the murder could have been Sandstorm. Sandstorm killing Ashfur was the best plot twist ever.

It destroys my soul to hear Squirrelflight so desperate and hurt. The emotions in his voice were so real that they made me cry, it also seemed to me that Sandstorm's voice had a number of emotions, just like Jayfeather's. The three voices left me with goosebumps and a chill on my body that even scared me. I congratulate everyone on this project for making a work of art!

I forgot about that despair that's a big thing in Danganronpa they want you to feel hope then snatch it away to feel true despair. Sandstorm didn't deserve to go out like that.

Zoe deserves an oscar for this, her breakdown as Squirrelflight was PHENOMENAL. Really, really well done all around of course, I’ve loved every second of every episode. I- wasn’t expecting that. I’m so shocked they didn’t go with the book accuracy and chose Sandstorm! That was a shock and I cannot wait for what they do with this. The voice actors did a wonderful job with this story.
This series was TRULY amazing. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more than I did, it made us all extremely excited and happy. Everyone did INCREDIBLE creating Who Killed Ashfur. I really really couldn’t be happier than how I am. I’m totally sure this will be something that the Warrior Cats community will never forget!!!

THEORY TIME
Introduction:
Before starting, it states in text. “Whatever you do. Don’t believe a word they say.” Then the screen flashes this. “How did he do it”? Or “You have to stop him!” Now what you can get from this, our main antagonist identifies as male. With a role to threaten all the clans. So that take she-cats like Mapleshade out.
Act I:
Did anyone notice what Brambleclaw said in the presence of the Starclan cat? He said that something was a bit off about them. Doing some snooping about , I’ve look into the audio. It was bone chilling but echoing. But the echo sounded a bit different after the 2nd time. Almost like it was covering an actual voice behind it subtly.
Act III:
(This will be helpful information) Ashfur’s convo with Hollyleaf. From the conversation, it sounds like Ashfur will do anything to make Squirrelflight suffer. Even if it means tearing the clan apart. He does not care for the clan’s truly. So what is stopping him from ripping the clans a new one just to make squirrel suffer?
Finale:
Another Starclan cat appears but is different from the last one. It’s more aggressive and turned to a shade of red. We all can conclude, even Jayfeather himself said that wasn’t a Starclan cat.
The credits help too because of the amber eyes.
Conclusion:
Tigerstar and Ashfur are working together. Think about it, both are set in revenge and Ash would’ve gotten a vouch from Hawkfrost. Think of it as a puppet and someone pulling the strings. If we go by the books Ash went to Starclan. In TBC he has the ability to cut communications off with Starclan. This would give Tiger a reason to work together. With Starclan out the picture they can easily confuse the living. Reasons why I said the voice sounded like a disguise. Ashfur can do these sorts of of things. Why not help him with these sort of powers?
That or the Dark Forest is even stronger that they can cut communication with the clans just by other influences.

I'm... Shaking... This is all well done. I think Ashfur met with Tigerstar, we dont know IF that's Tigerstar but that voice matches too well if you've followed the dub, and told him everything. Wanting revenge, Tigerstar cut the contact between the clans and Starclan. I don't think they'll reopen contact. Not without a fight, anyway. That's all a theory, tho.
SquirrelFlights breakdown acting was just THE BEST! It was well thought out, as her own husband was accusing her sister, mother, and nieces. And the acting made me think that they recorded a genuinely frustrated person! And all the blame and accusations were just phenomenal! I love mysteries, and I actually struggled to find who did it to the point I just searched it up.

I-I-I-I-I-I can't say anything, the twist from Holly to Sand, it-it-it... I almost cryed. The animation... too... good. (also a murderer is someone with intent to kill, Sandstorm didn't intend to kill, therefore she is not a murderer)( and again also, Jayfeather, Lionblaze and Hollyleaf wouldn't have been kicked out of the clans, because if Crowfether didn't reavel that they were still clan cats, Leafpool would have)(Finally watching this I had a day dream that purdy would walk up and say "that ain't starclan" in his lovely country side accent)
AAHHH!!! The adrenaline rush is INSANE. The emotion in every voice actor is magnificent! Literal chills. Firestar panicking and Squirrelflight having a mental breakdown is just so CRUNCHY.

This was phenomenal, like holy crap, the voice acting, the art, the lines, the music, everything from start to finish was a masterpiece, Jayfeather telling Sandstorm to get the hell out of there and Squirrelflight's breakdown with different sprites gave me chills, this whole thing either made me laugh, cry, or have chills, I cannot even begin to explain how much of a masterpiece this is, you can tell how much love was poured into this and the people who made this knew what they were doing. Once again kudos to everyone who worked on this. 1000/10

This was a lot of fun to watch this series was a wild ride. I had i feeling it was the dark forest who set up this whole trial. Espescially since the 'starclan cat' sounded like tigerclaw. Poor sandstorm. I definately thought the whole power of three prophecy was gonna be revealed when brambleclaw asked jayfeather how he knew it was sandstorm.
Also at 34:16 Jayfeather sounded so sad. He's always so grumpy and angry it was a bit of a shock since he's my favorite character.

Last minute theory:
I think I know how the culprit killed Ashfur. There is one piece of evidence that hasn’t been mentioned, and that’s the squashed nightshade berries. I believe that the killer purposefully stepped on the berries to douse their claw with the poison. They then could’ve proceeded to swiftly slash Ashfur in the neck with their tinted claw and leave him to die right there next to the lake.
It didn’t matter how deep the scratch had to be, all they needed was for the poison to enter the already weakened Ashfur's body. He wouldn’t have been able to fight back against his sudden attacker as the poppy seeds had already taken effect. He was left to suffer the pain of the poison, unable to move or even call for help. A horrific yet fitting end to our ashy fellow.
But that’s just my guess.
Your theory makes more sense than being force fed ashfur was taken by surprise which meant he couldn't fight back add to that the poppyseeds and he didn't stand a chance.
Guess who has a stain on their paw.
Sandstorm.
It was even stated that she went away from the patrol to hunt. She could've heard the conversation between Hollyleaf and Ashfur, hid under the nightshade bush, squashed some berries, and attacked Ashfur when HollyLeaf left

All the voice actors were amazing but my god, Squirrelflight's va, especially the All wrong scene. That was absolute laudable and palatial! Gave me chills!
When Jayfeather said, “that’s not StarClan…” I swear my eyes widened instantly.
Also when I saw the number change to 14 and Sandstorm’s figure darken… my heart sank.
Imagine if Sandstorm was killed by a fire.
This entire series has been absolutely INCREDIBLE everything from the editing style to the art to the voice acting everything is done so amazingly, props to everyone who had any part in this. I can FEEL the pure emotion in the voice-acting and lines, it’s done so perfectly. I’m definitely going to rewatch every part when I get the chance, massive props to EVERYONE who helped make this because every single aspect of this is absolutely stunning.
Can I just point out how funny it is how funny it is thornclaw is scared of Cinderheart because she knows everything

SPOILERS WILL FOLLOW:
I was so excited to find all of the secrets and emotions in every sentence and every line of dialogue. Sandstorm's word choices, "Don't believe a word they say" and its dual meanings, one for us viewers and one for Brambleclaw, the important points that flew over Brambleclaw's head, the secrets, the foreshadowing, EVERYTHING!
My favorite clue that I found was relating to Grant's credit as 'Extra Voices.'
I've seen the other videos on this channel, and Grant is the voice of Tigerclaw for most, if not all of the ones I've seen.
I was so happy to see my theory confirmed at 2:28, and at the end of the video, too.
This team put in so much effort for this to happen.

I like how this (whether intentional or not) fixes a lot of bad writing with the cannon accusations of ashfurs murder. Bramble law saying it is a mistake in the books doesn't make a whole load of sense but here it definitely does!! Sandstorm being the murderer also has some canon scenes that make it solid (I believe there's one scene when sandstorm tells ashfur off for being so clingy to squirrel flight but I may be remembering wrong)
I also theorise that this will take some inspiration from the broken code arc and the shenanigans ashfur causes there, seeing as the starclan cat so so hellbent on punishing code breakers and as jayfeather says, not a real starclan cat
In the books Brambleclaw said it was an accident to protecting Hollyleaf, so of course it didn't make sense... It wasn't true!
@@yay29823 oh yeah I understand that, but considering how he was killed by a bite to the neck in the books it's a lot harder to claim it was an accident than accidentally getting nightshade in a scratch 😭

My favorite part was when the starclan warrior said "It's punishing time!" and punished all over the place
That....that was spine chilling. The voice actors did amazing. Best parts have to be Squirrelflight arguing with Brambleclaw, and Ashfur just BEGGING for Hollyleaf to kill him. So many chills. You guys put so much work into this, I appreciate it all.

This is by far my favorite warrior cats fan series. Watching everything unfold was incredible and a lot caught me off guard. Props to the artists, voice actors and everyone who made this possible. I can’t wait to see how sandstorm’s execution is going to go

Wow this was pretty dam awesome!! Massive props to the entire team for making such a visually compelling and thought provoking story! I DREAD what poor Sandstorm’s execution might look like when the time comes for it to be released but I hope the artists take their time and don’t rush at all

Take all the time you need with the execution. This has been absolutely wonderful. I'm definitely forcing my sister (who loved warrior cats but knows nothing about danganronpa) to watch this series with me in the future. It's amazing. Awestruck doesn't even begin to cover how this whole project has made me feel.
