I think the telekinesis was only introduced to remind us that Andros is supposed to be an alien even though his outward appearance is completely human.
Maybe... but they also introduce the idea that a human can also learn telekinesis. So its a bit confusing haha
@@the6thranger from what i can remember its kind of taxing to use, and takes a lot of focus so in a fast pace ranger battle it would be near impossible to use practically
@@drakas110 My personal theory is that he can only moves small objects, I'm pretty sure the biggest thing he ever moved was a cup and he had to focus on moving it
I’m kinda late but I remember back in the beginning of In Space Andros says he’s human, or at the very least implies it saying that “Not all humans are from earth”
Yeah plus i always wonder when i was 8 going on 9 whenever I saw andros eating food on earth i also wonder what happens if he ever eats fast food cause back when I was a kid sometimes my mom would pick my and my siblings dinners and sometimes I didn't always liked to eat it
Power Rangers in Space has always been my favorite season. The Rangers suits, the story ark, the villains especially the Psycho Rangers and Darkonda always got me tuning in for more. I was even creeped out by one of the episodes when Carlos got bitten by the barillian bug monster and seeing the scene where Carlos was transforming gave me goosebumps lol. The Ninja Turtles, Justin and Adam crossovers were good too!
Yeah it was a good season. I thought Andors hair was so cool as a 13 year old.
I met him at a comic Con and I asked him why was it only him and Zane that were fighting in the War on OK35? he responded with the rest of his team were killed in battle and only him and Zane were left. In the first episode he was hesitant to trust the new four strangers (Turbo team). Not only did he not know them but he also wanted to help them but he was unsure if he wanted to risk losing another team. He lost his entire team under his command once and he did not want that to ever happen again.

as someone who loves power rangers I can honestly say that in space is truly one of the best seasons ever it was the end of the zordon era it introduced the psycho rangers and introduced the battleizer in space was truly an awesome season
My favorite red ranger, when I was a kid I bought all the vhs of power rangers in space.
My favourite ranger ever since I’ve been a kid! The whole season is one of the best PR has ever done imo, I wish he and the team were used more often.

Power Rangers in Space is my introduction to Power Rangers and Andros is one of my favorite rangers of all time. He has such an amazing character arc. I can relate to him being a loner with trust issues, but always wants to do the right thing. He's always there for his friends when they need him.
I remember as a kid seeing Andros' hair and being reminded of pudding that's vanilla at the top of the cup and chocolate at the bottom. Still thinking that to this day.
The use of his TK powers can be draining that's why he didn't want to use it during battles but during his downtime he would use it to things

I would like to see a story were Andros had a ranger team before the one in the show
I thought it was assumed his team was killed in action.
They may have had more planned but probably didnt want to get too close into the "Jedi Force" territory. This avoiding any possible lawsuits or something like that.
I understand Power Rangers is a kids show, but there is an entire generation of fans who were kids in the 90s and are now in their 30s who I think would love a more serious version of the show or a completely new show about Zordon before getting trapped in his tube. Older fans are definitely underserved by this franchise and it’s a true missed opportunity by their owner to not market towards millions of fans who now as adults control their own money. Maybe I’m just pipe dreaming?
Wow i myself was a kid in 90"s to i am now i just turned 32 a month ago now i am in my early 30"s i may not be a old man i am still a young man i really loved watching the power rangers
Here’s my theory on the thought: I believe that Andros does not have, a original team Space Rangers.
I really believe there’s those Morphers just sitting there, for the Turbro Rangers to retrieve them as I believe. In the original script, before he was change.
That the Turbo Rangers including Justin were heading into space and headed to, their destination where they get the new Morphers and became the Space Rangers.
I believe that there was no original Space Rangers that Andros lead, I think reason why he seem to be a loner is probably something to do.
What happened to his home planet than him, having a original team of Rangers. As there’s no evidence of that he had one. I think people that he probably love and care are probably, died or disappeared or he was in some sort of army.
Fighting against the enemy and he lost a lot of his troops as that might, reason why he was not really friendly towards the Turbo Rangers. When they were on his ship and why he deserted them, on a planet as he didn’t want another group of teams.
Losing their life first against enemy that they couldn’t win, as he obviously no point seeing Turbo Rangers help. Fights against the force of evils.
Zhane other survivor during the fight against the enemy.
That maybe a good theory.... But I thinks Andros didn’t have a original Space Rangers, or at least a full set team rangers yet besides from Zhane.
I thinks Andros and Zhane they probably were rookies Rangers or they may, were the second generation team of Rangers that at the chance to have a full set up teams.
Or maybe there were a first set team of Rangers were kills off, before Andros and Zhane became rangers as also Andros did mention. To Karone that both dreams to be Rangers when were kids, before Karone was unfortunately kidnapped and robbed of her entirely life.
Well that’s what I think.....
as bad as a leader as he was i can see why some of his teammates may have died.

I'm incredibly happy you took my suggestion! I have another idea, but it would be a longer video. Power rangers used to be a continuous series where they handed their powers off almost like a baton all the way to in-space or lost galaxy, I can't remember when it stopped. It would be a pretty good lore video for people to see the origins of the powers and handing from one to another.
Andros saves the universe in countdown to destruction.

Pretty sure his telekinesis isn't used in battle because it takes concentration to do. He has to be very focused. So it's just not a practical ability to use once the fight has started.
Telekinesis takes a lot of strain on the individual using it that is probably why he never used in battle
As of today I have finished watching In Space for the first time. I was a fan of PR when I was young and for the last few weeks I’ve had a resurgence in my interest in the series. Your channel has helped with that, btw. Since they took majority of PR off of Netflix, I ordered some DVDs off of Amazon. I’m glad I’ve watched this, it was an amazing series. Tomorrow I will start Lost Galaxy for the first time. Thanks for this video, Andros is one of my favorite characters from the show, next to Astronema and Ecliptor

So, karone used yellow the day when was kidnapped. Maybe that's the reason Andros open himself to the yellow ranger more easily than the others. Maybe karone was supposed to be the yellow ranger of her planet.

I didnt see him as killing Zordon. I felt it was time to just let Zordon go...it would have been repetitive and boring if zordon was still alive in all 20 seasons or so.

Wow andros was my favorite character in power rangers in space he was my favorite ranger since I was 8 going on 9 when I learned he was from k o 35 i always wondered what his cholesterol is like cause sometimes whenever either me or my mom picked dinner that is if i didn't have no plans to go a birthday party back in elementary or if my aunt or uncle didn't also pick my dinners to then later in my late 20"s before my surprise birthday a year later i got high cholesterol i had to change my eating habits and to this i always wondered how they eat on k o 35

Andros is the undercover agent. He goes in and knows how to infiltrate, probably growing up on the fly after his parents were destroyed and his sister missing. I would love to know when him and Zordon linked up. Maybe KO-35 was a test run before he came to Earth. Very interesting stuff!!!
Andros could've use his telekinses to pick up and move monsters until the monster gets really dizzy. Which would've given him and the other in Space Ranger the time to destroy the monsters faster.

The funniest thing about Andros is, the actor Christopher Kayman Lee, who plays him. Chris and Andros are so far apart it's funny, because the two are completely different people! If any of you, seen Chris...then you understand what I mean. But I will give it to Chris... because he's real, and Chris doesn't hide who he is! Chris if you read this, thanks for not being a phoney, love the real you!
I was a kid then so i don't notice much but now that i'm older, i realize that Andros is like the hottest ❤️ ranger among the other reds. His unique hairstyle and hair color just made him stand among the other reds y'know 🤩

After watching multiple videos I've come to understand that making Power Rangers is no great achievement and that literally anybody can do it at anytime.
I always wondered if Karone and Zhane had the power of telekinesis as well. I don't recall them ever using the ability.
They would have that ability too but they probably wouldn't practice it
Zhane teaches Ashley telekinesis in episode 21 which makes Andros jealous

I have a request, 6th Ranger! My friend and I recently had a debate about who is the most powerful Ranger of all time. Not the fan favorite, or the one with the longest tenure. The Ranger with the best skillset and most raw power. We had a lot of back and forth on the subject, but I'd love to see you come to your own conclusions in a video.
think the telekinesis was something that reminded him of the day that he lost his sister. so maybe it wasnt that he couldnt use it in battle, but by using it it remind him of not being able to save his sister when he was younger. hence hinding him using it throughout the season

Andros is the greatest Red Ranger, to have the strength to destroy Zordon to save everyone and everything was massive. A true leader, a legend!
Great cast and series nonetheless. Based in TJ and Andros' body types, everytime I saw the Japanese footage with the slim blue ranger I was thinking, "That should be Andros and the more built red ranger should be TJ".

Civilian powers take away from the Ranger form and powerups that make the teams unified. While the early seasons used them sparingly (the TK, Trip and Katie in Time Force and Cole's soul search ability in Wild Force) once we got to the Disney era, they came out in full force and reeeeeally robbed from the Ranger forms. They came off as excuses to add CGI to civvies.
Do you have a video on Astronema's history? Her storyline is one of the craziest in my opinion, going from lead villain to ranger is unprecedented- I wish she'd become Purple Space Ranger though lol

When things don't entirely make sense, i like to contemplate how it would make sense. So my thought process is, the reason Andros doesn't use telekinesis when fighting is probably because it is very taxing and takes a high degree of concentration (like a mage). And while he was concentrating to deliver one "relatively" impactful telekinetic attack, his teammates would be obliterated. He is, after all, the red ranger and has to lead his team into battle. So he and the rest of KO-35ians just use the ability for recreationally or as a tool rather than combat.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this one, but wasn't Andros the first ranger as well in the series to show super natural powers? I don't recall any other rangers showing any gifts beyond their ranger powers. His telekinesis would mark him as the first ranger to show gifts outside of morphing powers

What do you think an adaptation of Uchu Sentai Kyuranger I was thinking if they did something similar to Dino Thunder of having one of the Rangers from the past showed up and being a part of the team, having some references from Power Rangers in Space and Lost Galaxy, and is a little bit similar to Dino Charge and Ninja Steel did of having the villains looking for powerful artifacts that the Rangers are using, and the Red Ranger is finding his father who was missing for all those years, and his dad is part of the team but the only thing is different from those two shows is that his dad is one of the Rangers from the past. I was thinking Andros is the Red Ranger's dad, he married Ashely, he's friends with Shou Ronpo the Violet Ranger counterpart, and he's supposed to be Tsurugi Ohtori the other Red Ranger counterpart.
I think the telekinesis isn't used in battle because it requires focus/concentration. that said there were plenty of opportunities to show it outside of battle. First one that comes to my mind is when Zhane is tied up and a pot tips over, and his solution is to make himself fall over near the broken pot pieces so he can grab a shard to cut himself free. unless i'm remembering wrong, I thought Zhane had the same telekinesis Andros did.
In my opinion the space rangers had the best costume design out of all the other rangers

Real question when did Zordon give Andors his powers?Andors telekinesis may not have been in a high enough level to use in combat. There's different levels of telekinesis. One person could move objects but that same person may not be able to choke anyone out with their telekinesis. Notice Andors the first power ranger to have powers unmorphed.

I think what happened with the telekinesis was budgeting issues. If you account for Saban's nose candy fund they probably had 3.50 to work with
Andros has telekenisis however the sentai footage doesn't. So therefore it was never mentioned again.
