In just trying to manage my own expectations, I’d settled on a hope that we’d see the opening in 2022. Having been a regular years ago at “Dixieland”, I can’t wait to take my son! Eh🤷♂️ I view hybrid coaster more as an RMC coaster model versus a strict structural definition. Storm Chaser is another example of an RMC and I don’t hear much about Gemini being a hybrid at Cedar Point for instance. Thanks for the support though😁 I hope you continue watching the rest of them!
@@doctorcoaster I'd say the IBox track is really what you're getting at with the style of coaster. Storm Chaser is another steel IBox RMC, and Gemini is considered a hybrid. But, you can call it an arrow mine train for all I care, I'll keep watching.

It looks huge from the road so I can imagine how large that lift hill is standing where you were. I agree Doc possibly a Labor Day weekend opening. Nice to see the paved parking lot progressing. So I wonder what will become of the current dirt park..possibly a paving once the new one opens essentially doubling parking? Great update!
Nothing on the straightaway was vertical on Wednesday, so looks like it could be quick. Remember Eric noted extra crew would be brought in for that part. Also, nothing to do with the coaster, but I noticed Wednesday they were dismantling the bridge crossing the old antique cars track.
@@doctorcoaster I left Wednesday afternoon around 3:00 and they had packed up the crane the way that you saw it. Which means they put those two vertical Parts up sometime after 3:00 Wednesday and before you got there on Thursday interesting
@@doctorcoaster Tuesday afternoon the 19th about 4:00 p.m.. the bit discouraging, nobody's working on the coaster at all. Elsewhere, those pieces of vertical we saw come up last week they still have not been bolted to the concrete or to themselves. They are just kind of standing there. I noticed they were digging out what was mini-golf number 3 looks like they're trying to level that out. Must have some soon-to-be plans to be worried about that at this juncture. Near the first tree coming from the building it appears a sinkhole. Hope that's not an issue. Have not checked out the bridge yet, anything worth noting I'll get back to you.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say your next update will show the most progress in months. I anticipate the entire long stretch to be vertical and ready to receive track. Whilst everyone else awaits the raven truss dive, I'm looking forward to the outerbank turn. Time will tell.
I'm so excited for this. One of the first weeks it's open, I'll have to come back to it - a new ground-up RMC at a Fun Spot no less. This looks like it could be absolutely insane. Those white supports, the massive 0-G stall reminds me of Goliath at SFGAm, and the truss dive looks incredible.
I'd say Mid September. The new supports will be done by mid-August, the ride will be done by late August, and it will open in Mid September after testing. Just my guess, depending how long it will take for the station to be built though...
@@christianortiz-v1l the only reason I'd say no is due to their pacing. They've done pretty good now, but they would've been done had they broken ground as expected and wasn't delayed by over 2 months at this point

I filmed this around dinner time on a week night. I’ve seen overflow parking used multiple times on weekends. I just try to intentionally go when it’s not busy!😅
From paper & CGI, the real thing is ALWAYS aWeSoMe! I've made drawings & models of coasters. It's still impressive once it's "willed' into the final product. 07/17/1955 marks the 67th anniversary of Disneyland! HaPpY Birthday to a great park that started the renaissance of amusement parks. It's also national ice cream day & more particularly peach ice cream day.
On another UA-cam page some one replied to my calling Funspot out for starting construction so late in the year when we have year around great weather here in Georgia that allows year around construction!! That responder claim to work there and they said they are still missing parts and the coaster will not be open until January.. Take what they said with a grain of salt because they could be full of crap because you know it is the internet after all.. Hopefully that person was wrong and Fun Spot is not the horrible at running their park. No excuse with the great weather we have here in Georgia that it shouldn't be done already..
Yeah... don’t put any stock into that. At all. They’ve been “missing pieces” because more get shipped in batches. Fun Spot is running this park extraordinarily well!
@@doctorcoaster I live here in Georgia, no matter if the park is closed to guest the construction company can perform the work. I am Project Manager and I have run projects all over the south and they choose to announce a completion date. So, they shouldn't have announced it unless they knew they had all the parts needed. They announced it for hype and not because they have experience in Construction Project Management.. My critique is from the business side.. but you keep believing that them pushing the go button on the rides as running the park successfully if you want. Being true to your word matters in the business world, which is part of customer service!!
