This is not sped-up. I've seen all of them play this tune faster than this. I do not understand why so many people think every uptempo bluegrass tune is sped up. Have you never been to a bluegrass festival and watched these musicians. That's one of the requirements with bluegrass you've got to be able to play super fast when called upon.
@@waltercito47 His point is that the video is sped up, not the song. Imagine being bored of bluegrass but enjoying "old time," which is code for bluegrass amateur-hour.
Tony Rice is the best bluegrass guitarist to ever draw a breath
I was there. Great show!
Me too! Best show ever!
MAN!!...Tony was just so freaking cool!!
People sometimes forget the incredible technical skills of these bluegrass musicians
Everyone on the stage is masterful but Tony was always the star.
Thanks for posting this.
I was there.
Wow!
Mighty fine! Pick away!
indeed.
Damn...I wanted to hear Tony Rice tear it up on the first tune! Robbed!!!
Me too! I’ve heard him play on that one before I wonder if he was having hand problems that day or something.
THANK GOD tapers were invented!!!

Have I been to a bluegrass festival? Only my whole life. I recorded this at Denton BGF
Ricky Wasson, not Watson.
Doyle Lawson (m)
Jimmy van Cleve (f)
Dale Perry (b)
Ricky Watson (g, v)
Thanks. It's been 20 years since the show
Fiddle??
Ricky spells his last name "Wasson".

2nd best dobro player - see the Seldom Scene for the greatest ever to play the dobro- imho
Dobros sound like a drawer full of silverware lol
Whenever one starts calling someone, " the best ....", they are setting themselves up for an argument.
Nope...
Doyle forgot about Burkett Graves, and Mike Auldridge. I thought they were both good. Certainly they were a pleasure to listen to.
Jerry Douglas was the best IMO.
It’s Wasson
this is sped up, What's the point of that?
That's why I got bored with Bluegrass. It's become such a show-off medium. Gimme some Old Time.
Something a little tastier. ua-cam.com/video/tyfRpnvbW8I/v-deo.html
