Watching videos like this is basically how you end up buying equipment, you'll wisen up eventually. Also, buy a 505, making music by yourself doesn't get much more interesting.
I bought one over a year ago and got so frustrated. It’s been in a box in my basement ever since. Just started watching the battles and I’m going to give it a second go. I’m in Ecuador away from my home right now but can’t wait to get back to Boston and get it out again.
Nice work !! Really cool to see this kind of tutorials! Regardings the level of compression , inputs and output, it really depends of the mic and soundsystem you are using. The level of compression can also be influenced regarding the music gender.. For electronic music with less vocal, i advice to increase the comp number to 12. Your kick will sound way charper, and everything will sound cleaner. Big up again !
Neil Beatbox TV as a loop stationer do you connect other pedals to RC-505 for looping? Pls answer me if its possible, i want to buy RC-505 too! But all the time i see other loop stationers in youtube connecting weird pedals in the RC-505 to make it work...does it actually need more pedals to work?
Thanks, Pepouni! :) I am Neil from Philippines, I have a RC-505 and because of this video I am so happy because finally you made a video for a loopstation tutorial. I've been waiting for this for so long. I always read the manual and it's really hard to understand that but this is really amazing it help us a lot. Thank you also, Thorsen the CHAMPION for sharing us your tips. I will surely practice hard now and hopefully soon I will join in battles of Loopstation :) Maximum respect from Davao City, Philippines. Thanks again, Pepouni :)
I'am waiting impatiently right now. It is on truck out for delivery and time has slowed down to make my wait longer. So i'm watching this video and making notes to be ready to set it up properly when it gets here. THORSON not only are you an awesome beatboxer, but your tutorials on the 505 and beatboxing are great and you are freaking awesome for doing them. I'm watching this in 2019, so yes i'm from the future and here to tell you that beatboxing is alive and well and thriving. The 505 is still the beatboxers best friend. Thanks for sharing your beatboxing wisdom. PS I have been using the TC Helicon VoiceLive Extreme so I have a pretty good handle on looping, jusy want to expand my horizons with some beatboxing techniques.
This is what i need. I've watching ben rowland's channel the whole time, sometimes it just get me confuse. This tutorial is very clear and very easy to understand. I'll subscribe
i had my 505 for 2 days. and i have been tearing my hair out trying to find some of these settings. thanks to you, i can finally set my tracks free instead of auto. why i didnt think of pressing edit 2 times in track i dont know, haha. great you mention incredibly important things to know for a beginner that no one else mentions. you did a really great job in this tutorial. ile probably watch it a good few times. i would recommend it to any new looper. oh and that lower the octave thing for bass is amaaaaaaaazing. i cant wait to get my microphone from order. looper came next day. microphone and cable i have to wait a week :( but im super excited. good luck brother, and thanks very much for tuition.
Hey man, this was super helpful for me. I would definitely watch a full video of you going through all the settings and effects. I like how you said exactly what levels/settings work for you, instead of just explaining what each piece does. This is a very helpful video on the rc-505
HOLY COCK WAFFLES!! Thank you so much for posting this. Artist week is such an inspirational week. Watching and listening to Thorsen has helped out lots. Big ups for doing this Pepouni and Thorsen.
Not a beatboxer by any means, but this seriously helped me with my 505! Only had it a few days and just with these few tips alone it's made a lot of things way easier.

I'd much rather watch your tutorial than get bored reading stuff in the manual. Thank you for your contribution, I've learned faster here than with the instructions manual.
I was thinking about ordering a RC-505 cause I always wanted to make music, but I cant play any instruments.. After this video.. well.. I am in the ordering process right now :D
Thank you Thorsen, you are inspire me. My dream is to buy one of these loopstations, i want to create music. I would like to entertain myself, my friends and others. I work hard and very slowly i have the money. But i don't know how to build a good sound system. I want to learn more about these thing. Thank you!
Hey I might have a newbie question, but it seems there are not the same effects on the INPUT FX A, B, and C. For instance, I can't select Guitar to Bass effect on Input FX B or Beat Scatter on Output FX B. Do someone by any change know why and how I could figure it out? Btw thaanks so much for the amazing video

Thank you, penkyx!! you are also my idol! :) I am from Philippines and I have also RC-505 loopstation.
Penkyx how do you feel about using up to three effects at once now. will you be working on new tracks?
Did you just assume that music had a gender pancakes? *TRIGGEREDDDD*
penkyx can you use more than one fx at the same time... if yes.. then how? .... (in ma loopstaiton I'm able to use just one )
