Hey Scarlett, if you ever see this. I’m from Kingston Ontario as well. Lived on rose abbey there was a little park and water tower behind our townhouse. Anyways been playing starcraft since sc1 and watching you represent Canada on global stage and @ gsl has been a real pleasure. Thanks for putting us on the map!
One common trend among a lot of these signature series videos are supportive families. Also the lighting in Scarlett's family's house seems very nice and they seem like such nice people.
@@YourGOD647God, you’re so sad. She’s achieved more in her chosen career than you likely ever will. She is well liked and respected by her fellow players and by the vast majority of the community
@@YourGOD647 hahahahhaa. You just might be the corniest fvking dude on the internet at the moment. Threatening peoples' lives because you are confused. hahha. Wow.
Scarlett As a fellow Canadian I just wanted to say that you have helped inspire me to keep following my love of games, pc stuff and anime. Even though I'm not good enough to go pro, It has allowed me to make friends, travel and work through some of my mental health issues. I have always loved watching you play and I always try to keep up to date on your casted games or tournaments that I'm lucky enough to watch live.
It's so cool to see Scarlett again. She was one of my favorite players due to her personality and intellectuality. I hope to see more of her in the future (not just in SC2).
Scarlett's story was amazing to watch unfold. I started watching SC2 in 2010 and when she came into the scene it was awesome. Good job, Scarlett! ❤🏳️⚧️
Amazing! Watching Scarlett and Snute games was what made me pick up the game (and zerg) in the first place, so cool that she's still top level! (And I'm still in silver league... errr)
I am not a SC2 fan.... never even played 1 OR 2.... I couldnt even tell you the name of the other faction that wasnt shown here.... BUT! Every once in a long while... UA-cam will tell me to watch her play. This algorithm KNOWS ME! She is just entertaining.... and worth the few hours every so often to sit in tension as I watch her Zerg. If she does not make Canada's Sports Hall of Fame... I am going in there to move some furniture!
She is the player that has been a pro player for longer than everyone else now still competing at major and premier tournaments having started in 2011 like she mentioned. She has won the respect and admiration of the entire scene. Whenever you see her name "Scarlett" on a bracket you know it's going to be good !
Pretty cool video, thanks! I am very sympathetic to her grounded no-nonsense demeanor in spite of doing fairly well as a player for so long. I have lost touch with the Starcraft II competitive scene, but her playstyle always seems so ambitious and focused, it's very inspiring. Though probably not one of her most important or strongest games, I remember her most fondly for holding out against Neeb, trying to somehow win a war of attrition against his absurdly polished timings, and winning some very close games. Also, when her father mentioned board games, I didn't expect them to end up playing Mahjong lol.
In my opinion Scarlett is the most professionell Player there is, in a time when gaming was looked down on, she embraced love for gaming and with that the magic with beeing who she wanted and who she was and is x as an professionell looking at her she is Inspiration.. Keep fighting gaming is Love
I always love watching Scarlett in the tournaments as zerg used to be my race when I played and she plays it on another level. However I also kind of feel bad for that brother, think of how often he got dumpstered growing up playing games against Scarlett...
Definitely one of the best and most creative players. Still stunned when she switched to protoss mid game, no one even knew if that is even in the rules, and won with it to prove a point
Holy cow! I had no idea she grew up in Kingston! I did my undergrad at Queen's University. TIL! EDIT: At 2:51 you can even see her walking towards Stouffer library! I used to spend HOURS/DAYS/NIGHTS in that building!
I always love when certain give vision to other female competitors. Just showing that it can be done regardless of all stereotypes. Like Judit Polgar for instance.
@@mihneatotescu5868 I see what you're saying yes. But she can still be a role model I think. But especially in sports, we still gotta make distinctions between born males and born females.
Sc2 community's been mostly great. She's been on top level for over 10 years. Only recent years have been starting to see haters on these comment sections I don't think these people even play starcraft, they are just here to hate
Lol, caz Scarlett has defeated Time(Peinan Li) many times, we always call Scarlett as 'Mom of Time'. Then, she won lots of fans. By the way, games between Scarlett and Time are still called 'the war between mom and son'. XD
Sad thing in first top 250 players there is no bio woman. Scarlett is far superior in esport becose she born man. Biology is thing giving benefits. This is great example for all generetions of SC1/ SC2 players.
...sexual dimorphism isn't "sad", it's there for a reason. it's like getting sad that there are no 8 year olds sending rockets to space at nasa. there is a reason for the difference between men and women and , given the almost equal population thereof, their roles must be equally important. trying to chafe against the parameters of reality will never work out in your favour.
Scarlett is one of my all time favorite players. So nice to see that she has the backing of her family which has an investment into gaming in general.
That’s a boy

From watching the signature series I have to say that a big part of the success of this players comes from the support of their families

Her parents are so chill and supportive but realistic at the same time, can they adopt me?!
