Regiments actually feels realistic. From the vehicle models to the character models, and just how everything plays out. The overlay is simple, and isn't hiding features that you have to inevitably either look up or figure out. It doesn't have that really ugly "grainy/stacticy/blue" filter over it like Warno. Imho, Regiments is a lot better than Warno. It definitely fulfills my World in Conflict itch that a lot of games of the same caliber fail to achieve.
80% of strategy gamers are solo players, so multiplayer might not make all that much of a difference. It's mostly pricepoint and type of game (I think).
It's a brilliant game especially the Campaign part. This video doesn't show it off very well - your A10s had already been suppressed by AA fire and didnt hit the enemy artillery for example. And most of the battle was done by your allies before you even got there. And you had two units on the side lines for ages lol. Could have used your supply truck to supply your artillery rather than sending them back out of the action. I usually keep the artillery and supply together as artillery go through a lot of ammo. But this game is so beautifully realistic, so immersive, and slow enough that you can control everything and actually watch the action. Much better than Warno and the other Wargames imo. It has a really great demo on Steam - unlimited play of one of the best multiphase Operations plus a skirmish map, but best doing the three tutorials properly before playing a battle. One guy did this - amazing !!!
This is the first time that I have played the game. As I gain experience I will increase difficulty. Haven’t yet played the campaign but looking forward to it. Really hope they figure out pvp.
It was 2v2 enemy ai was on medium. Ally ai was on easy. I had more kills less losses, better kd ratio and initially captured 4 zones. Ai doesn’t really defend the zones it captured. Would just run around the map as a big blob trying to recapture zones. I defended a massive flank without ally on the left @ 20:00 then countered to capture my 4th zone. Still learning but the cool thing is everyone plays different and have their own unique strategies.
Warno is APM hell with unintuitive UI and mediocre AI. If you like heavy micro PvP strategy then it's great, but if you're looking for slower paced and more realistic experience then Regiments is what you're looking for.
As others have pointed out the game is just called Regiments the III part is just part of the NATO symbol for a regiment.... Its not a sequel in a series of games!
I wish they had a demo people could play. I love both games. I think each does something unique. Regiment has better ai, unit detail, less macro and better size scale to real life. Warno is definitely more balanced, better map graphics/maps, customization and obviously pvp.
i agree, i refunded Regiments, just didnt like the way it played and UI and graphics way too bland. Warno and CtA Gates of hell Liberation are my go to rts right now.
@tommythetemplar Regiments doesn’t have as big of a budget as Warno. I think their campaigns are fun but less flashy. I like how the zones to capture switch mid battle. Forcing you to move to new objectives.
@@alfigue90 probably a good idea to install mods, seems like many people didn't like the unit-speeds(the one video of gameplay I saw makes me agree wholeheartedly) and therefore you don't have to worry about that anymore.
It's not trying to be a WiC successor. You may also need to get a checkup for ADHD, there's pills that can help you and make the lives of the people around you easier.
It' not Regiments "3" the III is the tactical sign, usually above a NATO symbol, for a regiment. I is for a company, II is for a battalion.
Was about to comment that😅

Agree just wish for coop don't care about multiplay, Really miss WIC day

Nice vid though!

@@yellowcossack Sorry wasn't criticising, the allies do the same in my games as well - run out ahead and get hit badly!
@@yellowcossack They wont be doing multiplayer for this game, maybe for the next one. Personally I dont play multiplayer so doesnt bother me at all.
not at all, I like Regiments, but Warno is a true masterpiece, and it's only just beginning

Played Regiments and i really liked it, my only gripe is that the overall presentation is pretty bland and the lack of non-mechanized assets.
How's the replayability? Trying to decide between this or WARNO. ...and thank you for your service.
I don’t think regiments has amazing replay ability. Mainly due to no multiplayer. Warno however does have multiplayer + pvp campaign.
Warno is way too buggy. The game is a little bit chaotic and it would need some time for you to realise how buggy it is.
DLC is now here, amazing
I like it very much, too. Nice review.
in my opinion, warno is better in graphic, map detail, animation & sound.

Took a humvee through a tank cleaner on accident when i was a weeeee specialist. Thought I was gonna die
It's not better or worse. They are different games, same subject but different games.
Nice video. Wish I had gotten Regiments first vs WARNO
But the warno campaigns blows regiments out of the water tbh

@@yellowcossack I mean I feel like the campaign in warno is more realistic excluding battles and the time period.
I put about 30ish hours into warno and just couldn’t fall in love like I had hoped. Hopefully regiment does the trick!
Once you get the hang of Warno it’s pretty decent. The two games are very different and both are great. But Warno does take a lot of micro.
I hated the micro of Wargame and Warno you cannot really enjoy the game. It really is just about who can micro faster.
the only i didnt like about warno are the tank move so fast and other vehicle are move to fast its make look weird not enjoyable
I thought I was the only one who was bothered by that.
@@alfigue90 probably a good idea to install mods, seems like many people didn't like the unit-speeds(the one video of gameplay I saw makes me agree wholeheartedly) and therefore you don't have to worry about that anymore.
Warno does have Realism Mod if ur sick of its typical gameplay though and with that Regiments 3 is just Warno 2,0 but downgrade.
It's a superb game
Um no.
Just another instantly boring World in Conflict successor wannabe. Next!

No.
regiment is weak too wargame red dragon is the best
