The old system looking back at their own mistakes, but asking what the revolutionaries intend to do with France. Pointing to what the movement is becoming.
There was an Emperor of China, Puyi, who was spared his life and became a garbage collector after his regime in Manchuria was defeated. He literally swept the streets he used to own.
to me this is one of the best mashups because not only do you blend the music very well, but the choice of songs creates a new narrative unique from both components. viva la vida goes from a king falling from grace because he abused his power, to a tyranical king being usurped from the thrown by his own son leading a revolution against him.
Imagine someone wrote a song made to be mashuped with another song so the lyrics actually compliment each other while still being a good song on its own
It's like the king downtrodden of his failures majority of his kingdom turned against him. The king takes his life, now his only begotten misfit son and his few loyal subjects left must band together to take back the kingdom and honor his father's legacy.
Now that mister Pheonix, is portraying NAPOLEON, with LADY GAGA, as his queen-ruler, I think of French Royalty, versus that hit musical--HAMILTON! Keep up the good work!
I can picture at the end before the final chorus the king of the past and the heirs of the future time meet then break out dancing together very nice work
had a school production of animal farm and this was the music they celebrated the first defeat of jones to???? like its such a surreal piece to hear it from a relatively professional performance
MCR realizing they dominated in the mid 2000's, but that now they have to loose the Emo aesthetic in order to stay relevant but won't reach such epic level of fame and success after that.
I didn't expect to get g-noted but I can look past it even though it makes me emotional. In general an amazing mash up
Past what? G is the superior key anyways, and tis an amazing mashup indeed.
I get g-noted too
my heart nearly stopped when I first heard the g note, it didn't scare me I just didn't expect it lol
The ruler vs the revolutionaries

Ah, this is an underrated comment, a hidden gem beneath the fires of a black and bleak revolution!
The old system looking back at their own mistakes, but asking what the revolutionaries intend to do with France. Pointing to what the movement is becoming.
There was an Emperor of China, Puyi, who was spared his life and became a garbage collector after his regime in Manchuria was defeated. He literally swept the streets he used to own.
its like a Disney king after the fall of his kingdom teaching his son how to avoid his mistakes as they live in the streets
Man i would love to see a musical like that
@@theredknight3736 same
@@theredknight3736 thats the 'origin story' of viva la vida.
Literally changed my view on this song
Basically Lion King if Mufasa survived
Why isn’t this more popular in the mashup genre it’s really awesome
totally
Because MCR and Mariah Carey had a Christmas parade

I can't unhear that now.
YES YES HELL YES
And it creates a song of a tyrannical king being overthrown by a revolutionary, like how the king originally took his power.
the lines involving carry on hit really hard now
King: “son, when you grow up, will you be the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned?”
King after being deposed: “no, not in that way.”
This takes Viva La Vida from "nothing matters..." to "Nothing matters! Woo"
When not caring about anything goes so far down it circles right back up to not caring about anything others say
This song in concert would literally melt minds 😂🙏🏼
^This is a fact.
This is an underrated mashup. Well done.
This is epic and you don’t have to be emo to know that
uP
Yepp
The intro was like from an Guns N’ Roses when they had intros that sounded like conversations.. I liked that
This mashup reminds me of growing older and no longer having the blissful ignorance of being a kid. Ouch.. It is such a good mashup though
That's such a good description of it, when we're younger we feel on top of the world but as we get older our kingdom starts falling
Welcome to the Emo revolution.
It’s a great mash-up, but a bit more overlap in the earlier portions of the song would have made it even better
the chills from listening to this literally hurts
The vibe this song gives off… it’s like Green Day was made up of these two bands and they released this
I didn’t expect this mashup to work…. like, at all… but somehow you made it work, and I’m really enjoying having my expectations blown sky high!
Is this the ruler vs the revolutionaries, or the ruler before and after, or something else, this tells a story in a way I never seen before. Awesome!
I thought of the Pope’s reaction to the Reformation.
Now someone just has to do this but with fallen kingdom
Welcome to the Block Parade
Imagine someone wrote a song made to be mashuped with another song so the lyrics actually compliment each other while still being a good song on its own
oh, yeah, the emo revolution.
the ruler X the revolutionaries
We are electric angles. The city of freaks.
I see two opposing sides going to war...the old kingdom vs the new resistance
You have gained a sub this day, keep up the good work
This sounds like it'd be its own song. Literal masterpiece.
I love this so much two great songs in one
Thank you 🙏
This mashup is beyond words 🔥
It's like the king downtrodden of his failures majority of his kingdom turned against him. The king takes his life, now his only begotten misfit son and his few loyal subjects left must band together to take back the kingdom and honor his father's legacy.
That sounds a lot like The Lion King.

Now that mister Pheonix, is portraying NAPOLEON, with LADY GAGA, as his queen-ruler, I think of French Royalty, versus that hit musical--HAMILTON! Keep up the good work!
That's LADY GAGA, in the sequel, to THE JOKER, PART TWO, said in FRENCH. This mashup, would make more sense, in THAT movie.
Oh, wow. Viva la parade!
Also, this sounds like Green Day was made up of these two bands and released this master piece! Sub added for definite!
i don't know why this works, but it sure as hell does
I can picture at the end before the final chorus the king of the past and the heirs of the future time meet then break out dancing together very nice work
