Chris, fyi on Bath etiquette in Japan. Typically Japanese shower fully before entering the bath tub, which is a fully immersive tub. The tub is meant to really relax and share the water with others, which is why they shower before entering the tub. This is why you saw the little seat and shower head outside the tub in this bathroom. This is the same for hot spas around the country and good to know if you are traveling with others. Fun fact :)
Thank you for showing us how visiting Disney in Japan is life! You’re so open-minded and humble about when you don’t know what something is. It’s a pleasure to watch you be out of your comfort zone (being in Tokyo vs California/Florida/Paris). I hope we get to be with you if you travel to all the Disney parks!
The sink on the toilet tank is indeed for washing up afterwards. Japanese use the tub for soaking, not washing. You use the shower to wash and hop in the tub afterwards. Lived in Japan for 12 years and visited Disney Sea and Tokyo Disney many, many times. My last visit was in 2005, and your video was great. Thanks for all of the hard work!
Unless I was missing something I didn't see any soap in the bathroom, so that sink on the back of the toilet would only be useful for making your hands wet not actually doing anything of a cleaning nature.
Hello! I loved the stars on the ceiling! I just have to tell you that as a nurse in a stressful job I enjoy coming home to watch your videos! I sit and relax, smile and laugh at your jokes! Thank you soooo much! Have fun!😊
I live near this hotel. Thank you for coming to Tokyo Disney Resort. I enjoyed watching the video. Enjoy the scenery of your memories with 24-hour live streaming 💛
My family loves visiting Japan. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. If I may suggest a fun side experience: I know this may sound strange at first, however you should try eating Japanese food from 7-Eleven while you’re there. It’s not expensive and SOOO good. Their 7-Eleven’s are nothing like ours here in the States. Have a blessed trip!
How are you doing Chris out there? Looks like you are more settled in. Thank you for taking all of us on your trip. Just know you are appreciated and you make a difference.
Had no one been on that canoe in the lobby, Chris would have sat on it. I remember the movie with Tom Selleck playing baseball in Japan. He had to have instructions as to how to use it. LOL! lovely hotel!
I just became a Patreon member! I wish I could have a higher tier, but had to quit my job to take care of my twin brother who suffered a stroke. It's all good. What are brothers for😊.
Thank you Chris! I’m so glad you are enjoying my Grandmothers home country! Love your videos. 💙 So something you have noticed with Japanese hotel rooms, is the inclusion of pajamas and slippers. Here in the US we would expect them in more expensive accommodations. But in Japan they are in nearly every hotel room. The reason is because Japan is a much more hygienic, clean, and considerate culture than the United States. In Japan, it’s inappropriate to wear shoes inside of the house. For fear of making the floors dirty. So slippers or house shoes are provided. The same goes for pajamas. Wearing pajamas helps reduce skin oil/ dirt/ germs coming into contact with bedding. The idea is to keep the house, or in this case your room, much cleaner with these practices. I hope this helps. Can’t wait for more of your Japan adventure. ✨
Thank you so much for sharing your humble experience at the hotel. 🤗💕 I think I would be so scared of the toilet! That's so awesome that they offer transportation to the parks!
Discovery and wish are such underrated hotels. You are indeed outside of the Tokyo Disney bubble, so that’s the one con. The room you walked into at the 1:45 used to be a gift shop. Sadly it’s no longer a shop anymore.
Oh man the tour of the bathroom reminded me how much I miss bidets! My brother's apartment had that exact same style with the faucet on top, one of those simple things that makes sense and is so smart. This such a tiny lil detail that really hits me with memories of being in Japan.
Nice hotel. Mine was about that far from Disney as well and it was a Good Neighbor hotel. Hotel East 21. Draw back was you have to reserve a seat when you leave and when you come back. Thank you Chris, you are amazing. Sad I didn't see you while we were both in Japan.
I'm so happy you're in Japan and covering Disney in and outside the park ❤ and I just know that you will show so much details and fun facts that I cannot wait to watch all of your Tokyo Disney videos ❤🎉❤
Chris, I would be curious to know: Given the hotel's location, how did you get there? Did you have to go to the park first and catch the bus? Train stop nearby?
Did I miss in the video where he talks about price? I recall watching one Japanese family go stay at the hotel right across from Disneyland and was absolutely floored to how cheap it was compared to the US counterparts.
Thanks for creating such great videos! We really enjoy your positivity even in the rain (go canoes)!! We’ve loved watching all of the Tokyo uploads. The treasure map dotted line in the sidewalk and giant X marks the spot at the treasure map are great little details!
Hi I hope you are doing well and that everything is going well for you and that you're having a happy week and a happy spring 🌼. Also keep being you cuz you are awesome 😎. Also your always a pleasure to watch cuz you are so open minded and nice and I some more people where like that.
Thanks for liking my comment and again I hope you are doing well and that everything is going well for you and that you're having a happy week and a happy spring 🌼. I also hope everything goes well for you why you are on your trip.
What a fun hotel, I never knew about it before!! It’s definitely more of a Japanese style and VERY large for a typical room there. The standard rooms are more like cruise ship cabins. The first time I went there to shoot a commercial, they put me in a traditional hotel in the Ginza District. I was about to complain about the size of the room but I saw the emergency exit sign on the inside of the door and it was the largest room on that floor! They usually put me at the Tokyo Bay Hilton now which I do love. I do hope you can tour the Hotel Mira Costa which is what you walk through to enter Tokyo DisneySea. Certainly the premier hotel at the TDR and just spectacular in every way. It also has a spectacular view of the park which is why there were so many videos of Believe before it opened to the public. The rehearsals were after hours but so many windows were open with cameras shooting everything! Thanks again for all of the wonderful footage and reporting!
This was a fantastic video. I love you show use how to use equipment we don’t have here in the states. The sink over the toilet….. we have those here in the U.S., in the prison systems.
Chris, thanks so much for showing me Disney life in Japan! The sink on top of the toilet is just beyond fascinating, my only question is how do you sanitize your hands with soap? I really like how everything has it's own theme inside the lobby. PPP has come such a long way throughout this pandemic and I really enjoy your videos so much. I'm very amazed to have Disney friends like you guys in my life to share my experience with. With love -Joe-
I like the little details like the different attraction ride vehicles (Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Indiana Jones Adventure, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Journey to the Center of the Earth) on the wallpaper of your room or that they were playing the daytime background music loop for Aquasphere Plaza in the courtyard. (Aquasphere Plaza is the round courtyard with the giant globe fountain (the Aquasphere) just in front of the entrance tunnels under the Hotel MiraCosta into DisneySea.) I recognized the music because I collect Disney theme park music and my recent focus has been on Tokyo Disney Resort.
Though I’d feel challenged by the closet options, I love the Japanese innovations that are civilizing the bathroom experience! We installed a fancy Toto toilet and bidet in our own home. Worth every penny. We don’t have the added sink top, but what a great way to conserve water ! It looks like a great way to add a powder room to almost any small space! Fun video. Thank you.
Can't wait to see more of you adventures, Chris! Those mine carts look like smaller versions of the Big Thunder cars 🤔 I wonder Disney Fantasy...I agree that is a bit odd 😅 Bidget! With a...sink? Interesting 🤔 Those plates are so cute! Gendered plates? 😂 Those eggs are certainly different 🥚 Soup! Hope it was good 😋 That snack shop looks great! Lots of options. That court yard is so pretty and zen! So cute! Oh wow! Glow ceiling stars! Very cool.
Thank you Chris for the tour..it looks like a nice place. Well maintained and thought out. Cannot wait for your bullit train ride. Thank you again Chris
I just wanted to say again what a nice hotel..simple .with most necessities available..I can see the lack of a pool might be a problem with families but I'm a retired guy and no gradkids...one thing that would be nice...a hot tub for my old body after walking...thanks Chris..off to Coffin Hotel..heard of these..
2:41 That is an interesting store, no International shipping available for the app only store. Wonder if people ordered items to have them shipped to hotel, but I guess you would have to stay in Japan much longer unless you have family there.
Chris, Are you ok? Feeling ok? Everytime in the parks, when you see the canoe's, you lose your mind and go crazy. But when in the lobby, you see Mickey in/on a canoe, you just calmly call him Frontier Mickey. I think you need to get some rest my friend. (Ok, I realize that you were in the lobby, and the better part of discretion, and all that, but I fell out of my chair, you were so calm and withheld). Disney hotels are such a class act.
I started to place glow-in-the-dark stickers/ stars on my bedroom ceiling using a book that showed the stars that are above us. But we moved away. So I hope the next people enjoyed my efforts.
Do you know about the app "photo translator"? I use it a lot in France. You point your phone camera at a poster in a different language and it shows you the text in English. It might help you on your travels 😊
We use good neighbor hotels at Disneyland but I don't think I could do a capsule hotel. Thanks for another good video post. I thoroughly enjoy them, it's my way of getting a Disney fix when not in Disneyland.
I want to go see Tokyo Disney and Universal so bad. I won’t like the flight though. Some people stop in Hawaii to break it up. Maybe I’ll do that. I’m on West Coast.
Interesting fact, it is against the law for foreigners to not carry their passports in public. If you get stopped by the police and don't have it, they can fine you. I don't think it happens often, but I wouldn't use the safe for my passport!
Did you use your booking agent for your trip? Want to go and stay at the Discovery Hotel, but would appreciate information on airfare ect. Thank you love your videos.
The fantasy store feels kinda ominous. Like there was an actual gift shop there once, and then Disney figured they could save some and fire the workers and replace them with display screens and showcases.
I live in California earthquake country and we know to drink water out of the toilet tank if the waterlines go down. That would be problematic in Japan.
Chris, fyi on Bath etiquette in Japan. Typically Japanese shower fully before entering the bath tub, which is a fully immersive tub. This is why you saw the little seat and shower head outside the tub in this bathroom. This is the same for hot spas around the country and good to know if you are traveling with others. Fun fact :)
That makes sense. Thanks for the information👍🏼
💕 Arigatou 😊

I’m like how they included Splash Mountain with the Br’ers on the mural! 6:24
Hello! I loved the stars on the ceiling! I just have to tell you that as a nurse in a stressful job I enjoy coming home to watch your videos! I sit and relax, smile and laugh at your jokes! Thank you soooo much! Have fun!😊
Thank you Gayle for all that you do. 💚💙💚💙
I live near this hotel. Thank you for coming to Tokyo Disney Resort. I enjoyed watching the video. Enjoy the scenery of your memories with 24-hour live streaming 💛
FYI I think the hotel is called the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel - and there are two buildings - the Wish and the Discover.
I was lost, thank you!!!
Frontier Mickey in the lobby is in a canoe just for you!! They know canoes are the best too!
My family loves visiting Japan. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. How are you doing Chris out there? Looks like you are more settled in. Thank you for taking all of us on your trip. Just know you are appreciated and you make a difference.
Small rooms but confortables. And great idea to use the water to wash your hands to fill the toilet.
Had no one been on that canoe in the lobby, Chris would have sat on it. I remember the movie with Tom Selleck playing baseball in Japan. He had to have instructions as to how to use it. LOL! lovely hotel!
Omg the stars on the ceiling ❤️ ❤
The "waaaaaait a minute!" Gets me everytime!
I just became a Patreon member! I wish I could have a higher tier, but had to quit my job to take care of my twin brother who suffered a stroke. It's all good. What are brothers for😊.
Glad you are showing this sing my daughter, her hubby, and family are going to Disney Japan. TY. They will be going to visit family.
Thank you Chris! I’m so glad you are enjoying my Grandmothers home country! Love your videos. 💙

Memories! I stayed at that hotel too! Have fun!

Loved this..such a different hotel..
Love the toilet idea the tank fills as you wash your hands. What a great use of the water…👍🇬🇧
I'm so happy you're in Japan and covering Disney in and outside the park ❤ and I just know that you will show so much details and fun facts that I cannot wait to watch all of your Tokyo Disney videos ❤🎉❤
I really appreciate the tour/info! What an amazing ceiling⭐
Chris, I would be curious to know: Given the hotel's location, how did you get there? Did you have to go to the park first and catch the bus? Train stop nearby?
What a fun mural!
I LOVE the theme! So cute! I wish they had a pool only because I think the theming would be so cute!
I love you guys! More people need to be upbeat and fun like you both. Loved the Tokyo Disney videos! Tokyo Disney ROCKS!!
Thank you for your videos! I’m definitely getting to Tokyo in the next couple years and these are helpful.
Thank you so much for sharing- we are planning (wishing) a trip to Disney Tokyo
Thank you Chris .. very informative vlog .. looking into Tokyo next year
Ya the toilet was pretty interesting.
Did I miss in the video where he talks about price? I recall watching one Japanese family go stay at the hotel right across from Disneyland and was absolutely floored to how cheap it was compared to the US counterparts.
Don't drink from the 'toilet fountain' Chris!! 😂😂😂
i love that there is a step stool for kids by the sink that is something you don't find in America!
amazing Video . this could help me and my family
I love that convenience store and the courtyard. Great hotel!
Thanks for creating such great videos! We really enjoy your positivity even in the rain (go canoes)!! We’ve loved watching all of the Tokyo uploads. The treasure map dotted line in the sidewalk and giant X marks the spot at the treasure map are great little details!
This is awesome I love the subtle differences with different cultures. Not sure I could do the capsule room! Can’t wait! ❤PPP
Thanks for the hotel information.. much appreciated . And yes Tokyo Rocks!

The pirate ship looks like the one from Anaheims Disneyland Hotel Nederland pool area

Can't wait to see more of you adventures, Chris!
Those mine carts look like smaller versions of the Big Thunder cars 🤔 I wonder
Disney Fantasy...I agree that is a bit odd 😅
Bidget! With a...sink? Interesting 🤔
Those plates are so cute! Gendered plates? 😂 Those eggs are certainly different 🥚 Soup! Hope it was good 😋 That snack shop looks great! Lots of options.
That court yard is so pretty and zen! So cute!
Oh wow! Glow ceiling stars! Very cool.
Thanks for the tour, so cool to see all the details. I loved the pirate ship and again, loved your closing song. 😂
Loved the mural in the room, 🛶!
It was lots of instructions on the toilet, fancy 😅
Thank you Chris for the tour..it looks like a nice place. Well maintained and thought out.
Cannot wait for your bullit train ride.
Thank you again Chris
I just wanted to say again what a nice hotel..simple .with most necessities available..I can see the lack of a pool might be a problem with families but I'm a retired guy and no gradkids...one thing that would be nice...a hot tub for my old body after walking...thanks Chris..off to Coffin Hotel..heard of these..
Great tour
Cannot wait for your further Japan adventures
I like the toy story hotel and Tokyo Disneyland hotel.
Amazing!
Thanks for the tour.
Hey Chris, thanks for sharing. I love your stuff! I have a question, what other items were on the breakfast buffet?
2:41 That is an interesting store, no International shipping available for the app only store. Wonder if people ordered items to have them shipped to hotel, but I guess you would have to stay in Japan much longer unless you have family there.
Greetings from korea 🇰🇷 😊❤
Hahahaha, "eggs are a little runnier in Japan" 😂😂😂
You should buy a bunch of drinks at a convienience store and try them! Could make a fun relaxed video!
chris you havent mentioned the best thing about japanese toilets!!!! heated seats :P
Was there a video documenting when you landed in Tokyo and what you had to do to get your luggage, train tickets etc?
It’s right next to this Friday’s.
Chris,
Are you ok? Feeling ok?
Everytime in the parks, when you see the canoe's, you lose your mind and go crazy. But when in the lobby, you see Mickey in/on a canoe, you just calmly call him Frontier Mickey. Disney hotels are such a class act.
Do you get to take the pajamas and slippers home? Love the plates at the buffet. So cute ☺️
Can you request the beds to be pushed together to form a bigger bed? In Israel, we had to request that. Thank you for your videos
Were you at Atlanta comic con? Did you ask about the wardrobe for Steve from blue's clues
Such a random lunch! Lol.
Chrisl-san, check out 7-11, great place for a quick meal and to change money. Arigato gozaimasu. xo
💚💚💙💙
I started to place glow-in-the-dark stickers/ stars on my bedroom ceiling using a book that showed the stars that are above us. But we moved away. So I hope the next people enjoyed my efforts.
How much USD was it? Looks great thanks for the video

I want to go see Tokyo Disney and Universal so bad. I won’t like the flight though. Some people stop in Hawaii to break it up. Maybe I’ll do that. I’m on West Coast.
Hahahaha! "Japanese toilets are intense" 😂😂😂
Think the drain of the sink on the toilet is water that flushes the toilet
That is a beautiful hotel!
Interesting fact, it is against the law for foreigners to not carry their passports in public. If you get stopped by the police and don't have it, they can fine you. I don't think it happens often, but I wouldn't use the safe for my passport!
Can getaway tours help plan this???? I so want to go!!! But not comfortable planning on my own
Be sure to remove your shoes in the hotel rooms and use the provided slippers 😀
Did you use your booking agent for your trip? Want to go and stay at the Discovery Hotel, but would appreciate information on airfare ect. Thank you love your videos.
Question: Is the Fanta Orange like European or US version? The European is much closer to orange juice and much better than the US soda version.
Chris what did you have to do to enter Japan? Especially with medication?
That hotel looks very nice
We stayed there in 2019
i like your video🙂
Will you go to Hong Kong Disneyland?
Was booking the hotel on the website hard? There's no youtube videos on doing it and the website seems confusing!
Do you have a link to the hotel or how to make travel arrangements for Disneyland Tokyo?
I can’t find this hotel under “Disney discovery hotel”, is it the celebration hotel?
The fantasy store feels kinda ominous. Like there was an actual gift shop there once, and then Disney figured they could save some and fire the workers and replace them with display screens and showcases.
I live in California earthquake country and we know to drink water out of the toilet tank if the waterlines go down. That would be problematic in Japan.
Is the room mural for sale there I need it?
Does Tokyo Disneysea have a Hotel as well? I would to stay there and visit both parks! Thanks to your videos, I think I've made up my mind.
Yes it does and it’s amazing and has its own entrance to DisneySea
@@provostparkpass Thank you
