@ it’s annoying when that happens but ultimately a guitar is better out and about being played than kept in its case and safe from any scratches or dents. You got a great one the sounds amazing, it’ll open up more too as it gets older! Besides little playing marks give it a bit of character.
Beautiful guitar . Sounds really good . Wish I could have heard you play it a little more .Enjoy it . You have a good wife . The guitars ,the turntable , reciever and tower speakers . My wife also has given me numerous guitars as gifts over the last 32 years . The 20 year old Boston acoustic towers are being stored in my attic until I can renovate basement , but I do have six guitars hanging on wall in our small living room and one of them is a j45 avant guarde . Also have plenty others under the bed in their cases . Like I said we have good wifes .
I didn't realize how old this video was while I was watching. But it was still fun to feel the excitement with you, Corey! Do you still love her? (the guitar, not your wife. I'm sure you love your wife.)
Yes I still do love her. To quote a Beatles song. It's coming up on two years..She's fantastic! It really is the perfect guitar for me. PS. I should change my strings more often :)
nice one did you buy it on credit from Sweetwater or was that one of the ones down there about fifteen hundred bucks I know a couple of those big J's there around about 3,500 but they do a pretty good on offering credit kind of like financing a boat or something have fun playing it. enjoy the humidipaks they work really good I've been using them about every two to three months I just buy the inserts and change them out just to play it safe but it's been doing good holding the humidity well
@@coreyjohnston4673 That's good but be careful of under humidity..That's why I like them..Before put away drop thru soundhole and below neck until they harden kept at great even humidity level. the real nice part is you don't even have to keep ordering the whole kit you could just order the inserts I've been very pleased I noticed a difference on two of my Alvarez's. we're not excessively humid in Chicago either sometimes it just depends on your house but that's the one thing I do like I have used them now for almost a year and two of the more investment guitars and I've been quite pleased with them especially as easy as they are and the fact that they actually do work because once they start to harden after about two to three months you realize that's exactly what you want want the little inserts to do and it definitely shows that there is an effect as if you didn't use them
@ yeah it’s a beaut, I said to my local guitar shop dealer charlie, he’s a kind guy, that I was looking for one and he phoned me up today saying he got a mint condition second hand. Went down to play the tone was beautiful, so happy I went for it. Been playing it all day!
@mikeycroucher4299 OH not much differences, other than price #1, and number 2, Esthetics. The binding is more aged, and the pick guard is period correct. Other than that, there's no difference between the two. Did that help?
@coreyjohnston4673 hey mate yeh elvis had the 50s original j45 , from loving you , blue hawaii, gi blues , do u have the standard one , I think the 50s one more expensive? 😊
I’m in the UK and my J-45 is now 6 months old. Every time I pick her up I get as excited as the day I unboxed her. A truly awesome guitar.
Thank you
Who doesn't love a $3000 Christmas gift! So nice!
You got a beaut sounds great straight off the bat!
Congratulations Corey! I'm about to order the studio j45 in a month or so. I'm very excited!!
One thing they truly excel with those guitars is strumming
@riffraffrichard i just dropped a tuner on it.Put a big ol dent in it.Actually it's a small dent about pen size, but I still notice it.

@riffraffrichard heck yeah! Thanks
@@riffraffrichard I agree . I also use it for finger picking.
Congrats Corey, what a great guitar! You deserve it Brother.
Congrats! I just relived my same experience !! Got mine in Jan of 19, love mine and it just keeps getting better!!

That's fantastic. I know she sounds good from your videos!
Sounds beautiful!
Great Gibson the J 45! Congratulations on the new guitar.
Señor Benito, if I'm not wrong you unbox some beautiful guitars yourself, the Gibson Jumbo, Martin D35, D45 .👍
@@eduardoramirez6877 well thank you! Yes indeed!
That's a beautiful instrument.
Thanks, I love it! It's the only one you need!
Congratulations mine coming in this week I can’t wait
Nice
Love that sound

It doesn't get real humid in Nashville, so I don't really need the humidity pks. I can't say what I paid for the guitar. Thank you for watching!

Hey I got one, I love it! Did you put the strap bolt on yours? I’m a bit nervous about getting it wrong.
@@riffraffrichard No, mine came with a strap button. Congratulations bud!

A new guitar is way better than that new car smell. It lasts longer too. Congrats 🤠
I am thinking absolutely 💯 about getting one bud , elvis had the 50s original one j45, what is the difference between the two 🤔 😉
What do you mean, between the 50s j45 and a newer one?
@coreyjohnston4673 hey what's the difference specs to the 50s original to the standard j45 😊

@mikeycroucher4299 yes I have the standard one from 2019
my J45 is a 2016 I love it 😊
Hi Corey! Which one do you prefer..the j45 or the hummingbird? I saw that you have both and I can't decide which one to get myself
You have to have both, but you only need the J45. Good luck! Happy New Year :)
@@coreyjohnston4673 thank you!!
Excellent !!!
Epic bro!! It’s a big F’in deal to get a 45.
Have a 52 and a new one

That’s pretty awesome
Thanks :)
sweet melissa
Hi, the sound seems to be nice ! Which one is it : J45 standard, studio, deluxe ... ?
Standard, thanks for watching man!
Dude I can’t afford it 😭 it’s my dream guitar, I hope to get it some day soon
Some day bro!
I let acoustic guitars sit in the case one day in the house, let it remain untouched for another day with strings loosened, then tune it.
Nice tip! Thanks:)
Damn baby
jealous
I know that feeling. I still get jealous of people who own J200s. But I love my j45.
