Hello, and thank you for replying and sending me your message. I always enjoy listening to Sissel in her interviews, her personality and especially her singing, Sissel has a beautiful voice and I thoroughly enjoy listening to her. Sissel enjoys the same life as I do, we both have simularities, she is very warm and loving person. I can understand how important it is for her to have a private life. Naturally, as a friend and a fan of Sissel, it is always interesting to learn about their background and family. It is wonderful that Sissel has two daughters, as I have two sons. Children are most interesting as they grow developing their own character. They know me in a way no one else does, they open me to things I never knew existed, they are the beat of my heart, the air that I breathe and the joy in my soul. Best wishes to Sissel to her upcoming tour. Take care and lots of love.

Yes, it would have been great to hear this translated. A great many people listen to You Tube, so when someone like Sissel is interviewed, then it should be translated to English.

Thanks my new Norwegian friend, Roar, for fine transfer of interview.
      I am admired and happy!!!
This interview is done at Danmarks Radio and the interviewer is of course danish. I'll try make it short, just the highlights. She is asked if she is danish or norwegian (She has lived for some 20 years in Denmark). Her reply is that she is a firstly a 'Bergenser', secondly norwegian and then danish. Saying she is a Bergenser is a norwegian joke. People from Bergen come from Bergen, all others is from Norway :) n into English.
Then a video clip from Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen, 1986 where she sung a song from Bergen at age 17. Telling briefly her life story, all famous singers she has worked with, the songtrack on the movie Titanic, married to the danish singer Eddie Skoller having to daughters.
And working with Placido Domingo was fantastic saying she was growing as a singer working with him. She have a lot of respect for him and his warm personality. Then the work with rock band Sort Sol and singer Steen Jørgensen (Elias Rising).
They then talk about her work with the american rapper Warren G. They made a song 'Prince Igor' where she sings in russian. Then she tell a very funny story about the work in studio on this song. She was on her way to the studio in New York in desperate need of a russian coach. She don't speak russian. She saw a sign in the cab "Igor" and asked him "Are you russian", he replies "yes, yes", Sissel asks "What do you do the next hours?". The russian taxi driver joined her to the studio and coached her. He was "insanely strict" she said and laughed. And they run out of time, but the coach wasn't satisfied and told her "Don't worry, I know the short cuts" when she said they had to leave for the airport.
Then they talked about how she blends different music styles together. How good she is to separate her private life from her official, keeping the press away. She want to have her own private life with her two daughters, it's very important to her. In the end he wishes her good luck with her upcoming tour in Denmark and she says she looks very much forward to the tour.

Alex, If you’ve ever seen Sissel as “happy” or as “beautiful “ in an Interview, keep a hold of it for yourself, and enjoy.
All the talk about “ subtitles” is fair enough, but I would rather have this video, with Sissel in “ top form” than not have it at all.
Just get into the flow, and enjoy the Interview for all the good thing’s.
Make your Imagination run away with it’s self, as Sissel’s, personality takes over.
Alex, this is another “beauty” 🌷Stan

Sissel is married to a Dane -- apparently lives there and so is comfortable with a Danish interviewer -- and replies in bokmaal Norwegian --
one of two Norwegian languages that in written form isn't so far from written Danish. Oral differences b/t those languages are a matter
of getting used to in sound and so they're comfortable speaking to each other. Sissel does have the best smile going in entertainment field!

I agree about English subs. I would love to hear what she's saying in these interviews. She looks so delightful, I'd love to hear her comments. I'm 72 and I'm afraid a wee bit too old to start learning Norwegian! Subs please! And Alex, I don't know where or how to find 'transfer in the summary.' Looking at her is certainly lovely, but I'm also interested in what she has to say!
