The Church is a hospital--of souls especially but also of bodies, since the two are intertwined. Christ is the great Healer. Prayer (and the whole life of the Holy Spirit) is the best medicine. Not that a human expert can never have any insight, but there is no comparison.
It's usually a problem of spiritual warfare mixed with neurochemicals firing off... Or it could be one of the other rather than a combination of the two. Godspeed on your healing and salvation friend.
The psychiatrists already have their rewards. What a soul need is God and only God. I invite you to learn from the saint the prayer of the heart wich have the power to make you endure in joy even the worst that can happen in your life. May God have mercy on us Amen
I think it would be benificial to add what it is that you are troubled with. Is it perhaps a trail for you to overcome.. then maby none. Or is it a more pressing matter.. then maby both.
Father I have a question, I have a crucifix that I never take off, I always wear it under my shirt because I don’t want to feel like I am just trying it off, should I wear it visible to others or keep it under? Or is either or ok?
If you have a spiritual father, it might be good to ask him instead, as things like this can depend on the person who's asking. There are priests that vouch for both sides on whether to wear your cross in or out.
Scripture is very plain: “Then he showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the lamb” (Rev. 22:1). Revelation 21:6 and John 4:10-14 make clear that this “water of life” is a reference to the Holy Spirit. So, we have the Holy Spirit proceeding from the Father and the Son. Embrace the Filioque.
Flowing from is not a case for eternal prossesion of the Holy Spirit. Jesus has the authoriy to send to Holy Spirit. Also while you're here should we embrace all religions lead to the same God? Should we embrace pachmama?
How come the Holy Spirit in Daniel 7 only proceeded from the Father? The Son of Man arrived and received authority, but the procession never changed. If you're going to use scripture incorrectly, I will too. The problem with the filioque is not that it is incorrect (it is, but theologoumena are fine for debate), but rather that it was an unauthorized addition to the Creed, especially done after the 7th Ecumenical Council that calls anathema on anyone who alters the Creed. This is a deliberate form of disobedience from Rome.
When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father-the Spirit of truth who PROCEEDS from the Father-he will testify about me. 27 And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.
Is the Son also being begotten by the Father in this vision from Revelations? No. That happened in Eternity which will be forever and unfathomable mystery for us to understand. No Saint, nobody admits to comprehending what the eternal actions of begetting or proceeding actually imply. It's a mystery. You're oversimplifying the matter.
