Hi Dr Jason I had a facelift 2 weeks ago and very happy with the results, but the top of my scalp is still numb(not the sides or the back of my head, just the top) my surgeon said it’s rare, but can happen were a nerve can get damage during the procedure, it usually repairs itself, it can take weeks, months , but can also be permanent 😭😭 This is a weird feeling, especially when I comb my hair and I’m also afraid this numbness might cause hair loss, since I been noticing more hair loss than usual when I wash and comb my hair…. Please let me know what you think. I watched your videos on facelift surgery, and learned a lot from them… I did go to a board certified surgeon whom is well respected by all in my city and does excellent work.
Hi Irma, thanks for watching! It is quite common to have numbness on the head/scalp following a browlift and less common after a facelift. In nearly all cases this numbness will fully resolve (go away) within a year of surgery. You can expect some temporary hair loss after a facelift that is likely not related to the numbness you are experiencing. It sounds like you have a great surgeon and continuing to communicate with him/her throughout your recovery will ensure you have an amazing result!
I have been looking for information on revisional or second face lifts. My first one was 9 years ago. I am ready but I need to find the right surgeon. My husband is worried about me looking like the joker or looking less like myself. I hear a lot about something called the vertical restore facelift? It sounds great but isn’t it just a fancy term for upward vector? I see a lot of facelift patients who look nice but you know they have had work done because of that tell tell pull at the corners of the mouth. I would definitely like to avoid that look. I am interested and ready. Your recommendations at this time is much appreciated.
How much was the facetite at the 40 min mark? I have that exact chin and am thin and 34 but am making an appt for a neck lift. Never seen a doctor doing facetite here in Pittsburgh.
Love this pod cast!
Hi Jamie! Thank you so much for watching!

Dr Jason. would you post a revision face surgery please
Hi Jacqueline, thanks for watching and for the great suggestion!
Not sure why you think that only California and Florida are people that care about their skin. I’m in Oregon and I’ve always taken care of mine.
Hi Lainee, thanks for watching! Amy chiming in here, I also try to take the best possible care of my skin and I'm from Colorado :)
Great info & presentation by decades....listened via podcast, then had to go see it too! And Amy's right..."we" want to know it all. :)
Hi Kathy! Thanks so much for watching and listening!

It would be great to know more about fat transfer at the same time as facelift for ageing slim faces where would the fat go in the face etc
Hi Michelle, thanks for watching! We will be sure to talk more about combining fat transfer with a facelift in an upcoming episode.

Hi Joanna! The patient at 40 min in the plaid shirt after was FaceTite only! She was in her early 30's at the time of the procedure.
Thanks for the informative videos. BTW the doc has a strong Dr. Strange vibe. Lol
Hi Sad cube! Thanks for watching! And for the great laugh about Dr. Strange! I see the resemblance 😂
