Is there a way to make corrections to the ChatGPT character images that are NOT consistent such as the eye color and boots shown in your video? Once you approved of the character design, why did ChatGPT AI generate different features from what you approved? Also, can ChatGPT or Canva Magic media generate the images to have a shadow cast so that character does not look like they are floating when you insert the character image onto a background image ? Thank you
Thanks for your question. Regarding consistent characters with AI, there is always going to be an element of trial and error to get to the desired consistency. The best thing you could do is to be as descriptive as possible in your prompt so that the AI can generate precisely what you have in mind and be as consistent as possible from image to image (for example, you can even specify eye color and style of boots -i.e. with laces, no laces, etc.) Yes, Canva has the ability to add a shadow to your graphic elements :)

Super informative video. Thank you for the sharing. I have a question, by the way. 1) I created "Tom" and made a couple of images. 2) Then, I created a new charactor named "Jenny" and made some images. 3) If I want to make more images of "Tom" the next day, will they keep the consistency as the day before?
Thanks for your kind comment and question! Technically it should be the same but I typically try to do it all in one sitting. Also with AI you will have to be a bit more patient and may need some trial and error before you get your desired results :) all the best!
This is a total revolution. Have written my book 5 years ago and got stuck on illustration. Can I upload a sketch and ask ChatGPT to create a consistent character off of that?
Thank you so much for your comment 😊 Regarding your question you - it is definitely doable but it may still take some patience and trial and error with AI to get to the exact outcome you have in your mind especially with consistent characters. Feel free to also check out my latest video on fiverr illustrators as well in case you are interested: I hired 5 different illustrators on Fiverr and turned my 8-year old into a self-published KDP author ua-cam.com/video/6JuMSL_j-5o/v-deo.html
Great question - as of currently, there isn't an easy and reliable way to generate multiple consistent characters together. What I typically do is generate each character separately and then combine them on a background manually after. Hope this helps!
Thank you. I thought it was harder. I have a question- Do you have the copyrights to the images and everything to publish and use freely? Won't it give very similar images or even the same to someone else? Thank you :)
I created a sketch drawing of two children in mid-journey that is perfect for my project. But when I try to recreate the same style asking for a mom and dad, I get something completely different. I've tried copying the seed number, etc., but I still cannot recreate my desired style. HELP!
Sorry for my delayed response as I missed this comment previously. I would recommend using the exact same wording you used for your original prompt for the children and just swap out the descriptions for mom and dad, and see if you can get to a similar style. For example if your original prompt was “black and white pencil sketch of a little girl”, try to do “black and white pencil sketch of a woman ..”. But try to be as descriptive as possible. It may take a number of tries to get it right though. Good luck!!
This video is just made for views. I've tried 20 different tutorials online and none of them are consistent. You can follow the instructions in all of them to the T including the descriptions and never get consistent results.
How do you make the characters look in a different directions instead of looking at the camera, or looking at them from different angles, like from behind (back to the camera, looking to the side and up at something, etc.) Simply stating these things in the directions doesn't seem to work.
For the initial character generation where you are putting in the characteristics like age, clothing, etc. just let it generate facing forward. After that in the next variation, you can ask for side profile, backside, etc. Those should work :)
Hello. Very useful video. Question. Once you create the image and download, how would you send that image to an editor - and would they be able to manipulate the image re sizing. Thank you.
Thanks for your kind comment! You can actually just open up the webfile and click on "save as" option to save it as a PNG. So basically if your file name is say, "image01", you can just rename it "image01.png" and it will automatically save it as that. Once you have it in that format, then you can upload it to Canva to manipulate the image / sizing. Or you can also just open up the word file and then copy it (Ctrl +C) and then paste it (Ctrl+V) directly on to your Canva template. Hope this helps!
I have been this trying this consistent character app but I never get asked these questions. This is what I got “Of course! To get started, could you describe the character you have in mind? There are different consistent character apps on ChatGPT 4 so it’s possible you may have used a different version? Maybe try to go to explore gpts again and see if you find a different instance :)

Thank you. How can you download the actual images? I could only download the web file. How do you tell ChatGPT the character is not consistent? Thanks so much!!!
Thanks for your comment. Regarding your question, after you download the webfile you can always open it up then select "Save As", and then rename the file name from what is right now (say, "image01" for example) to "image01.png". So just add ".png" to whatever the existing file name is. That will automatically convert it to a png file. You can then upload that into Canva to complete your design.
