- Hi everyone! I'm bringing yet another one of my personal mixes, in today's video I'll be presenting you my take on the track "This Is It".
The song was originally recorded during the Paul Anka sessions in 1983, But in this mix I'll be reconstructing the song as if it were made during the "Thriller" album sessions! Please leave any suggestions for future mixes!

Originally recorded in 1981 under the name "I Never Heard", this was a first attempt make a duet, this was recorded solo. Michael recorded about 3 takes in this version we know and love. The '83 version was rewritten by Paul Anka and re-recorded and remained unreleased. In 1987 He then recorded it for the Bad album. But, it failed to make it on the album afterwards. Around 1991, SaFire was given the track to complete her album. In 2009 after his sudden demise came in late June of that year, the documentary movie about his upcoming ill-fated This Is It tour, in which this was reworked on heavily and it also includes his brothers on the track, The Jacksons. On February 1, 2023, Quality Mixes leaks the original completed track from '81 onto his channel.

Man I definitely had to get my headphones to listen this. The instrumentation at the end is so beautiful. Makes me think there could've been an album in between "Thriller" and "Bad" that would bridge the gap between those albums with this song on there. I could here "Loving You" coming on right after this or before it. 🥰😁👍
