Low score , but what a game!! It was visible how much each tackle meant for every single player . Tight faceoff , might not be the shiniest of results but the march showed great skill, determination and pure brute rugby
Stuart Hogg two crucial mistakes- the offload after the intercept was unnecessary and meant that there was no forward support to clean out and the drop ball
"Extended Highlights" no muestran tackles, cómo se ocasionan los penales ni las patadas a los palos, sólo trys y alguna conversión, para los que amamos este juego eso es un error muy feo
After the first round of this year’s tournament is finished, I’m still thinking the same thing about Scotland that I thought going into the championship. “Who the fuck knows what’s going to happen.” England’s performance against France just adds to the uncertainty
Scotland's backs used to be deadly... now we can see a scottish center intercepting a ball and still get outrun by several irish, including a second row. Maitland just too slow, Hogg dances about but his line breaks are getting scarce. Only Kinghorn looks sharp enough.
I predicted Ireland would get a bonus point win, fair-play to Scotland they played exceptional rugby. But every time they got to the 22 they conceded a penalty. Well done Ireland
The Irish player didn't go to ground and wasn't holding him so as far as I'm aware he is not considered the tackler and can compete on his feet. He was put to ground by the number 20, I'm no expert and some might disagree with me.
Geez.....🙄.... that’s why Japan beat both of you. I’m a big fan of Ireland and Scotland but this was far from their best games 😔 Wish them both the best for the tournament.
0627Watt1988 Japan was good but there was no clear indication that could have beaten Ireland in the WC. Ireland came out 2nd best in the 6 nations, came off a winning tour of Aus and beaten the All Blacks twice in three years. The relationship is a clear slump in performance against Japan , and now, Scotland.
They were much better than in the WC but mistakes where it matters most is the common theme of the last year. Unfortunate but after WC game I was furious with how poor the performance was; there was plenty to be positive about last weekend.
Ian-nator268 he celebrated in order to sell it. Similar to diving in football, if you make it look like it was a solid simple try, then TMO might not bother checking.
@@WalesTheTrueBritons incorrect. They have had spells where they have shown what they are capable of but they have struggled to find that consistency and killer instinct during games
Johnson who forgot Metland at 3:00!! Sad defeat for the scots, so many lost opportunity! Hogg must been insomniac after that! I didn't like the refereeing by Raynal (I'm french) like the refereeing of R. Poite last year on the same match. The irish were always at the limit of legality in the rucks!
Would've expected a bigger winning margin, but a win is a win. No improvement from the Scottish, they were an inch from the line an choked. We'll need to be on our game next weekend. How Hogg thought he could cheat his way to a try....
No improvement? We were missing Russel and graham and dominated you in offensive play, we simply couldn’t capitalise on it as Hastings doesn’t have the same capacity or flair had Russel. Even so it was Ireland away and if hogg had planted that ball the result would have been very different. He Celebrated to sell the try, it happens all the time in every sport, stop whining.
@@kiwikiwi7375 the same old Scotland.... if, what if, if only, almost, we didn't have this player, if he was playing, on our day etc.... I'm sick of this Scottish rubbish for the last 30 years. Scottish rugby is a mess end of.
Cormac Bohan it’s not hard he’s under very little pressure all he needs to do is hold ball in 2 hands and slide in not try and be fancy and put it down with 1 hand. If he new conditions where wet then why did he try with 1 hand
please show how the penalty is conceded, not of just the kick for goal.
Agree.
Sexton and Hastings Were the only players that got points for their team.
Oh that was Sexton? I could have sworn it was Neymar
@@Toghebon if you think sexton dives he don’t
Lmao the celebration after he bombed that try 😄😄😄
Centres need to stop eating up wingers space

Great hands from Cian Healy!
How did he drop that
fuck knows
The only thing I can think of is that hogg might of been concentrating too much on his foot touching the line but who knows.
That’s a very start answer
Poor guys I think. Imagine playing for your country and cocking up thst bad
That's twice an attacker has dropped the ball, after crossing the line, to the benefit of the home side.
There's a wizard in the Aviva :P
Stuart Hogg two crucial mistakes- the offload after the intercept was unnecessary and meant that there was no forward support to clean out and the drop ball
amazing that stander was good enough for ireland back then. He'd struggle to get on the current munster team.
I love the national Ireland Rugby, a big hug from Italy ❤
(Sorry but my English is disgusting😭)
Well fair fucks to you, you can speak two languages :)
Not that bad
Right back at you Italy!
You should be ashamed of yourself for having such terrible English
Better than my italian mate
2:50 no release by Stander?
We were lucky to have won, expect a hard season or two
Stuart Hogg, what an outstanding player! Repeats this against England on the opposite side of the pitch
Good aggy encounter. Scots are one top class centre and a feared no8 from real contention. Ireland still wobbly.
"Extended Highlights" no muestran tackles, cómo se ocasionan los penales ni las patadas a los palos, sólo trys y alguna conversión, para los que amamos este juego eso es un error muy feo
2:22 Sam Johnson offside for that interception
Nah, Connor Murray lifted the ball up and THEN Sam Johnson ran
3:19 the audacity to fake a celebration ... must be playing for Sunday league before

It was a physical game, Sam Johnson was on the front lines for most of it so I’m not surprised he didn’t have enough gas to burn.
Scotland backs have never been Deadly! How many titles have Scotland won?! I forgot...
@@WalesTheTrueBritons And? Just because the team doesn't win titles it means they're all shit? Talk about some bad logic.
2:29 Should of been an easy try, Johnson had his blinkers on

At 2:54 the irish player belonged to the tackle. So he can't take the ball... Right?

He can’t take the ball, wrong decision by the ref
No, the tackler was O'Mahony, who released and stood up immediately. Scottish player was holding on as CJStander was over him - clear penalty.

Maybe no relationship for why Japan could beat Ireland.
But, this proved why Scotland couldn’t advance to knockout phase.

Hoping that Scotland have just improved and not Ireland getting worse.

Why did Hogg celebrate...
Trying to con the officials.
Iol.
I think he hoped they wouldn't bother even going to the TMO given there wasn't even a tackler on him.
That fluffed try sums up Scottish Rugby as of late
The way he celebrated after tho. i'm adding the phrase "to hogg something up" into my dictionary.
Of late!? Try the last 20 years!

Finn Russel !
So Stuart hog gets paid like 100k a year and drops the ball over the line decent !
