The Bill Tobin name drop 😂
An all time legendary moment in NFL draft history
Bill got up from his chair like he was going over to throw hands 😂
I wanted it to be Ty so very badly.
Same I’m 13 seconds in and utterly disappointed. Might not watch now lol
They have to do a follow up with Mad Mel. So good.
They are equally bad at their jobs 🙄
@@Nite2012Mareyou trippin
“.440 Batting Average, that seems a little low”
Probably the best “trick title” I’ve ever clicked on.
He had me at "Bill Tobin was right"😂😂😂
"Did you play football?
No.
Hmm, Bill Tobin was right."
Never change Peyton :')
Jets not understanding the draft continues to this day.
Peyton's draft cap is sitting really high on the treetops
Funny thing was Jeff Lageman had a solid career. Maybe they could have gotten him later, but he wasn't really a bust.
@@morgana2625sure but they drafted him ahead of Steve Atwater (HOF) and Andre “Bad Moon” Rison (5x Pro Bowl)
Damn, Drew Pearson NAILED a difficult pronunciation while getting booed by the fans of the City of Brotherly Love!
As a Birds fan, I gotta give the OG respect for that😂
Was that Player He Announced Any Good for Them COWBOYS?
@@PHN-2024 He's alright

Great interview!
Harbaugh balled in 95 and should’ve been playing the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. Refs blew a TD in the AFC championship game against the Steelers. Kordell Stewart stepped out of bounds and then came back in catching a TD that should’ve never happened.
Yes yes yes
HAHAHAHAHA still crying about it
@@thegreatrenaldo7718 nah, Steelers got beat anyway.

Payton was made for tv 😂😂
I feel pretty lucky to have grown up in an era where so many athletes are good people and are willing to share and give back to their respective sports. Nothing against those from before the internet/social media/etc, they just didn't have the platforms they do now. Keep doing the great things you do Payton.
“Peyton”.
Always entertaining!
Love Omaha!
He wasn’t wrong about the colts even a little bit😂😂 after they left Baltimore they were abysmal until manning showed up
Yeah, they could have had Trent Dilfer on their team. Boy that would have been awesome.
@@nachobroryan8824 Mel was trying to say you have to swing. Harbaugh was fucking awful. You have to swing on these QBs regardless, nothing to really do on Trent Dilfer exactly. Any other high QB prospect in any other year he would have said the same thing for the colts. Turns out he was right and ahead of his time. QBs weren't taken like they are now.
They went to the AFC title game the next year
Spoiler Alert: He doesnt actually read his draft report until 9:40
It really is amazing how much success Mel has had while being horrible at scouting and mocks
This was a good one Sheriff.
Motor City Football is back! Thank you Peyton! 😂❤
Rip bill tobin made an iconic moment in the draft history 🙏
As a Vikings fan, I remember '98 for who was selected at #21.
mel, thank you!
RIP Bill Tobin
At 5:30 seeing the Colts GM go off on Mel Kiper is funny. In 1994 the Colts were a stellar 4-12. In 1995, having not chosen a QB as Mel stated, they were 5-11. Their first-round draft pick was good but not really what they needed, Mel was proven right. The Colts GM did not last much longer after that happened; Mel stayed put on ESPN.
*1994, *1995
Bill Tobin just died yesterday. RIP.
Will Trev Albert attend Bill Tobin’s Funeral since He made Him an Infamous 1st Round Draft Pick?
Hahaha great 👍🏻
Something nobody has said in 30+ years "boy Mel, you are hot today picking these guys...."
"To pass up a Trent Dilfer when all you have is a Jim Harbaugh..."
Harbaugh career passer rating: 77.6
Dilfer career passer rating: 70.2
Mel Kiper's evaluation of Tom Brady, "Does not have the total package of skills for an NFL quarterback."
He actually had high praise for him when he got drafted, go rewatch it. Brady has a good career in college despite everyone saying he came out of nowhere. He won a national championship at Michigan….
That was everyone’s opinion.
At 6:44 in this video, you will hear “Peyton’s Place.” Way to go, Omaha Productions. Way to either put the Easter egg out there OR let people know the ESPN Plus segment, “Peyton’s Place.” Now I need to know. Was this a test? 😂😂
Mel is such a legend
What a lot of people don’t seem to realize is how much of gamble the draft is! Some of the best talent evaluators have whiffed on supposedly can’t miss prospects and nailed it on players that weren’t supposed to be good!
Didn't Harbaugh take the Colts to the AFC Championship the year Kiper said he needed replaced? Just saying
Kiper said it in '94, Harbaugh and the Colts went to the AFC Championship after the '95 season. You were close.
Payton's voice in college though lol
Never knew thats cool
LOL I first thought it was Larry King.... hahaha
I always thought the funniest angle was Baltimore kid made good, Mel Kiper, ripping the Colts and their decision making. Entertaining tv though.
To be fair Trent Dilfer was no better than Harbaugh…..Mel missed on that one, and loads of other.
Back when a postman could be a neighbor to an nfl teams general manager
TODD TODD TODD TODD TODD
I mean, Tobin was right in a way - Kiper is always ready to sharpshoot a selection, but he's made some terrible assessments over the years. He thought they missed out on a future Hall of Famer in Dilfer, who had a very average career.
Dilfer would have been a better pick than a nobody olb. Come on now
Dilfer's got a SB ring, that's saying something.
@@jblank74It does. It says, “Thank you Ray Lewis.”
@@jblank74 Randy Grossman has 4 Super Bowl rings.
Tobin passed away a few days ago
Peyton Manning Reads His NFL Draft Scouting Report in the last minute of the video.
RIP Bill Tobin.
MR. MEL KIPER IS SO CUTE WHEN HE MAKES THE BOLD PREDICTIONS!!! 😜🏈😜🏈😜🏈😜🏈😜🏈
Trev Alberts turned out to be a massive bust lol. Dilfer wasn't very good either but he did win a Superbowl and played in 130 NFL games.
Lmao, yea arguing for Trent Dilfer?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Trent Dilfer Did “Win” a Super Bowl but Not with the TB Bucs who Drafted Him.
Jim Harbaugh won two playoff games, first QB to win a playoff game in twenty five years
I think he drafted Marvin Harrison,
who the hell is mel kiper
Mel Kiper ended up being wrong. Jim Harbaugh wasn't great, but He and Dilfer were about equally mediocre from 1994-1997 except if they had Dilfer the Colts probably don't pick Manning in 98.
Cameo by Coke Rat Cramer
who the hell is Mel Kiper anyway?!
How is his take celebrated? The Colts literally were one play away from a Superbowl
In fairness, Trent Differ,"SB Champion" or not, couldn't hold Jim Harbaughs jockstrap
The draft show was/is comical. The vitriol may have been real or may have been scripted. At times, it has felt like pro wrestlers cutting promos on one another to boost views and ratings.
Just like ESpn Create controversy from a guy that used to live in his mom's basement think about that for a minute
That Basement included Luxuries like a Satellite Dish so Mel Could actually see Nationwide College Football Games in order to Scout future Draftees.
Kawhi Leonard is the best NBA player in history.
No man has been rewarded for being so wrong so often like Mel Kiper has.
So he wasn't particularly good or anything, he's just the first clickbait guy?
What about all the times Mel has said generational talent but turned out to be a bust. He has no accountability for the bad takes and picks.
It's about entertainment more than accuracy. He definitely had done the work, back in the day, and I think he proved that he was knowledgeable, despite his own lack of direct experience.
@@NiceGuyFYIThe human element is always going to be the biggest variable to the process. Who would have thought that Tom Brady would have been the greatest QB of his generation, if not all time. While sure fire talents like Ryan Leaf and JaMarcus Russell would flame out in no time. Sometimes you just don’t know who is going to pan out.
Love Chris Berman!
"can't tackle"
He's a QB? I'm not sure I want a QB that's had too much experience tackling.
We know that's hair dye, Mel.
Peyton… Hey Peyton…. Peyton… what kind of watch is that? I like it and want to buy one. Hey Peyton…. Peyton….
👀
Nothing like non athletes grading real athletes lol. Only in America
Why is Mel still a thing? He's as accurate as the weatherman 🙄🤡
Because it plays into good theater. If he was right all the time, it would be boring. Since he’s wrong sometimes, it brings a lightning rod to the process.
@@cityhawk I can't stand to listen to one dumb word he says.
@@Nite2012Mare I guess someone out there likes his work. To be honest, there are countless others that are better at assessing college talent than Mel Kiper. I’d rather listen to someone like Joel Klatt. He’s not a draft expert, but his expertise on college football is definitely worth listening to.
@@cityhawk ANYONE ELSE 😳
Because the network needs someone who can give an opinion on the picks. It doesn't actually matter if he's right, he just needs to have opinions. You can't just show the picks and just leave the audience thinking "Wait, who was that? Is he any good?"
I hit thumbs down and clicked off yhe video as soon as I saw Mel
Mel has made more mistakes on players than any other sports caster
The draft is boring. Stop giving them money for watching this. Just read the results like a person with a job.
Ole Bill Tobin was probably half in the bag when said that about Kiper.
"Who duh hell is Mel Kiper innaway?!?!"... RIP Bill Tobin
He soukdve been in prison tho. Justice failed us.
