The Cotton Club was originally located in Harlem, but it actually moved in 1936 to downtown Manhattan, where it stayed until it closed for good 3 years later. The restaurant today of the same name has no connection to the original.

No one spiking drinks then as men n women leave their tables to dance? In comparison to today's scene. Not safe now for anyone in some nite clubs or any other establishment

It's a disgrace that black people couldn't be patrons of the Cotton Club in Harlem. They performed but they weren't admitted as patrons!
