She was such a good doggie. I wish my Chi was like this. He really dislikes strangers and I have to muzzle him when taking him to get his shots. Thanks for this video; it is very informative and helpful to me. I have to do the washing and trimming myself, due to his temperament.
I have a long haired chihuahua and never had a groomer hurt her so many times. I would never bring her back to that groomer. You also didn't give her a break after hurting her. She looked terrified. Not to mention the hack job for a hair cut. Are you a professional groomer? If you are then maybe you should steer clear of the little ones.
Literally came to the comments for this! There is no way this woman is a professional. I've never groomed a dog before and I could do a better job. And why is she using scissors as big as the dog🤔
@heatherboarman5028 I'm just a girl who grooms a person's dog the way that they prefer, and they keep coming back for many years. My methods are definitely different from the rest, and that is why I am making videos for all to see. 🐾🐶
Thank you for your video. I have done some home grooming of our dogs off and on for years. Causing dogs to look like they’re in pain when clipping nails happens. I’ve even cut the nails too short sometimes. But I tend to it if needed and move on. The dog is fine. I’ve only done my daughter’s long haired chihuahua once. He’s almost 13 and living with us now. I want to groom him again to save money. I don’t like doing the feet but I know it’s a must and it’s a fear I must get over. That long hair around those toes is a challenge! I think I might get a muzzle for him before I do it though next time then I won’t be afraid of him nipping me, which he will do. I have bought clippers from Amazon but they are labeled differently I think that professional groomer clippers and knowing the comb size to use is a challenge too. I don’t believe I have a 3 1/4 comb. I don’t think I cut him with a clipper on his body last time I did him. I think I just hand trimmed him after bathing and blowing dry. I never know how exactly to trim up the hair on top of the feet on him nor our Shih Tzu. Sometimes I go to short on the latter dog and I don’t like it
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It is always a challenge to do those feet and to know what blade length to use, but that will come as you continue to do it and get more experience. My 3 3/4 blade indicates that it's is a 13mm length if that helps. Good luck in your future grooming! 🐾🐶
I just lost my beautiful dog exactly like Daily and watched how you did your job and was so scared when she screamed because you hurt her. I am looking to find same kind puppy, same color to adapt. My dog was 2 month old when I get her and she get sick when she was 14 y/o. I did everything to save her life, but before 15 y/o she passed away. I am still missing her. Please be careful, don't hurt them. I never take my dog to cut her hair and under paws. I did it myself very careful. I take her to special medical place with excellent experience to trim & polish her nails. Long hair dogs is very lovely and giving more love then anybody. Life without them after I experienced that very empty. With my experience I thing if you want they live longer give hem food self prepared, not from store. Usually markets re-calling some dog foods after our lovely dogs get sick. I decided myself cook food for my next dog. I was giving almost organic vegetable, fruits, vitamins to my dog, but food I started to give medicated with prescription from vet.
She looks petrified poor but she was sooooo patient especially after you hurt her a few times what s good girl but feel bad for her. I have 2 long hair never used scissors on their paws only tiny clippers.
My groomer refuses to shave my long haired chi's as she says it damages the coats. I think you should maybe use clippers on her feet as you nearly cut her pad with those scissors 😮😢
Nice work. My long hair chi will let me brush her, but as soon as I get by the rear end forget about it! I can also rub her paws and massage but as soon as she sees the clippers shes showing me teeth! Any suggestions? Your videos are very informative. Thank you!
Thanks. I am glad you are enjoying my videos. I would suggest going to my playlists on my channel and watching some videos from the playlists; Puppy's 1st grooom, dogs who don't like their feet being groomed, and difficult doggie grooms. In these videos, I show you the different holding techniques I use and explain them a bit better so it can help you with grooming your own dog. I hope this helps, and please let me know!
thanks for quick repsonse, i need to get this but i understand you need matching clippers, any clippers you can recomend? i have a similar chihuahua, but also looking to learn grooming different kind of dogs in the future myself, your videos are helping, thanks alot
@user-xx8zx1ek8q I have used and andis 2 speed clippers for many years. Make sure you get one that is smooth as it is easier and more to hold for long periods of time. If you go to my channel and look under my LIVE video tab, if you click on the Basic tools you'll need..... video I have the links of the products that I use. The andis clipper is in there with the link.
We have a baby that is identical to this one and it hurt us all the way through just watching this. I only use electric trimmers and small nail clippers. I have never made my pup hurt like you did. I would never let you near our baby. Maybe you should stick to bathing and let someone else handle the cutting.
Yes, it may seem that way as she was moving around during the foot trim, but she was just a bit fidgety due to her paws being sore and didn't like me trimming up her paws. Yes, that can definitely occur, but it is not necessarily true in every case. I only trim a dog's fur the way the owner requests it to be done. 🐾🐶
What a mess you make of every dog you groom, I’m not a groomer but can make a much better job myself, never seen anyone shave a long coat chihuahua, you don’t even hold clippers or scissors correctly, and never do any blending, just make a mess of all the poor dogs, don’t knock how you’ve not hurt or injured any dogs

Poor dog was so upset, you hurt her quite a few times
Thank you I'm doing a friend of mine's long haired Chihuahua this weekend and I needed a refresher.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching and good luck! 🐶🐾😊

🐾🐶❤️
I was told you can’t cut coat because it won’t grow back 🤷♀️
Yes, it will grow back, but it's important to brush out quite often as it grows out
This is terrible - no reason to clipper the whole coat. Yikes.
This is at the owners request. 🐾🐶
Poor puppy foot looks like you accidentally nicked it. I was told never cut the coat (other than feet and but) as it ruins it

You hurt her multiple times
Scissor blade is not working properly for small dog 🐕
She looks so scared😢
