That is ABSOLUTELY the most attractive Yorkie cut I have ever seen. The face trim and shaping is so critical….. you did it perfectly! I just love it! Great work!!
I really appreciate how gentle you are with the dog, other groomers I see are so rough with these dogs, and the ones I’ve seen, they’re just poor puppies who’ve never been groomed before. Instead of taking my new dog to a groomer, I’m going to do it myself to ensure my puppy isn’t being treated like that. Thank you for being so gentle with it. ☺️🥺
I opened my grooming business because even through grooming school and what not I've seen how mean groomers can really be dogs which I don't understand. I mean it always takes me a little longer because I do take my time even with some of the more difficult dogs but I agree with you on the gentle because I wouldn't take my dog to most groomers and not just because I can groom them myself lol
@@jessicalavoie7355 Bonjour, je suis toiletteur. Mais la vous en faite une généralité, J'ai beaucoup de collègues toiletteurs et ils ne sont pas si dur avec les chiens. Cordialement.
This lady did a amazing job. I couldn't believe how easy she was with the dog. She took her time and the dog worked right with her. Dog #44 is beautiful.
I just used this to help guide me through my 1000th attempt at cutting my yorkie’s hair. She badly needed a haircut. Groomer was booked and I decided to give it a go once again for myself. This was helpful for me, so thanks! Turned out to be the best grooming I’ve done for her. Still need some more practice, but I’m please with the outcome.
I purchased the most badass clippers and scissors system. Unfortunately my talent/experience make my Yorkie look like a sewer rat who just got out of a fight with the neighborhood cat bully.
I thought it would be much simpler because I wear my hair very short and I have clippers to do my own hair -- so how much different could it be to clip my Teddy Bear?! But she was very patient... and I got a big kiss when we finished. She's very similar to this Yorkie in the movie. I was taking her to a groomer and the last couple of times she was very unhappy when I picked her up and I was not happy with the way her fur had been cut. It looked like little kids had done it.
mistermatsuda u r too funny. Same thing happened to me with my yorkie but I kept trying and I’m pretty good now. The first haircut I said thank goodness he can’t see himself 🤣
Ah such a cutie. I’m only watching this because my Yorkshire terrier Chester was put to sleep tragically on 19th December 2019, I miss him so much, we were together 24/7. 💙🐾🐶🦋🌈🙏
I started practicing on my dog a couple months ago, just by watching UA-cam videos. I’m not too bad lol but after bragging my sister in law asked me to help her with her yorkie’s hair cut 🤦🏻♀️ watched this video & all I can say is wish me luck ! 💁🏻♀️
She looks just like my Yorkie past July 4th, 2019. I use to cut her in the same hairstyle. Wild! I might get me another one. I miss her so much she my friend and my watch dog. She was that protective of me.
I'm only 15 but I am grooming my own dog as a starter but I love grooming! I know I'm too young to do anything but hopefully I can join a grooming salon or something once i am more experienced and older :") i am buying my own tools soon.
Thank you for sharing this sweetie! I have two Yorkies and before getting my littlest rescue Yorkie I would always take my larger one for regular grooming sessions, but now with my littlest Yorkie having a metal plate in his right rear leg along with screws in his knees from TPLO surgeries I haven’t been able to find him a groomer because he wiggles so much and they worry hurting him because he has fragile bones. I appreciate and respect their concerns so I understand. I’m now having to learn how to do it now myself and your videos are super helpful! My babies may look a little shaggy, but at least I can take all the time I need to groom my littlest one. With some practice hopefully I’ll get better. 😅👍 Thank you so much again! ❤️🙏
LaVieJolie-Same here, started grooming my dog at home, today will be her second haircut I've done. I bathed her one day & we cut the hair the next day. I just need to find a good pair of scissors, the curved ones & can't decide on the 7.5" or the 9" Any suggestions?
You are an artist with scissors. It's pretty impressive how you treat the little guy with care and respect while making him beautiful! I have been watching videos to learn how to clip my miniature Yorkie, and your haircut is the ONLY one that I like and want to try to duplicate. I'm having problems figuring out which of the clipper attachments you use on which part of his body? Could you help me with that part? I would really appreciate it!
Thank you so much for this video. My poor puppies hair was so overgrown because the groomer is so backed up with appointments. But he looks and feels so much better now!
He's quiet my mum had the same breed and he was agressive to people no way he would of stayed that quiet with out trying to bite you...but there nice dogs
I wish my puppy would keep that still. She sees the comb and she is out. And I swear she doesn’t have any negative experience with hair cuts. She just can’t keep still. Hopefully she’ll be calmer once she’s older..
DerZeitverschwender mine to she is 14months now she just doesnt keeep still, at the groomers they tell me she screams till they finish her hair. Poor baby.
I’m a hairdresser and have thought about going to school to be a dog groomer. Watching you the techniques are the same but naturally the approach is different. Also its a dog not a human so the moving part is also a different (unless your cutting an unruly child’s hair and the parents won’t correct them😡) After seeing your tutorial I think I’m going to try grooming Winslow. I have the pole to attach him to but Anthony hasn’t built me a table yet (he’s got to get it in gear😆). Thanks for the great teaching! You’re Excellent at what you do!!!!
that was so easy to watch you make it look so easy,I took my 9 month old Lucy for her first haircut ,she would not let them touch her with the clippers, so I will call my vet and ask about calming drugs, then I will give it a shot myself,as I bought all the scissors and clippers.Thank you for your vidio
Hi Arlene I just started grooming my own Yorkie, she's almost 6 yrs. old & wiggles a lot sometimes grooming is in sessions to make it easier for her (and me, lol)
This is an out standing groomer! This is the only Utube groomer to learn by. The thinners are the tool to use, besides the regular shears. Go slow. Watch this video several times. Be careful around the ears. I use to groom in my 20’s - now I’m 70. Get a helper. You’ll get better each time.🐕
I see lots people complaining bout how there baby dogs, dont stay still or wont like this. My experience is that if you start grooming at young then they will like to get groomed nd behave as such. 💜
I have a 14 year old Lhasa Apso/Border Terrier mix, and he always fall asleep (standing) every time I groom him. From start to finish, he doesn't move a muscle.
Awesome!! Thanks for marking this video and sharing it, with grooming services close my Yorkie is in desperate need of it and looks like im going to have to give it a try.
I’m so afraid to take my dog to a groomer. We have a lot of local dog groomer horror stories (a couple that have even made the news) where I’m from. From groomers strangling, cooking a dog in a dryer, and some “mystery” deaths where the dog was just given back to the owner dead. I’m too traumatized to take my 6 year old Yorkie mix to a groomer. She’s never been to one but, I’d love for her to be professionally cut like this. If I knew that this woman was grooming my dog I’d be okay with it. She looks like she’s very gentle with the dog she’s working on and the dogs cut looked amazing after she was finished.
Bryan Baker thinning shears can take up a lot of time! Honestly she is a great groomer but she could’ve saved a lot of time by using her straights or curves.

How do you avoid the whiskers? My terrier becomes a terror when brushing his hair around his face and when i was trying to cut it he moves and goes crazy before I can carefully cut it. Help, he needs an isolation haircut, his eyes are being covered by his hair it's so long now.

You say Snap on Purple Comb. When buying hair clippers they are not always colored. From my experience most come with black combs and they are usually numbered. What number is the Purple Comb Please?
Anyone else here because of covid-19 closed down your groomers and now it’s up to you 🙋♀️
YUP! Just got a clipper for this exact reason.
Yup! Lol that’s why I’m watching these videos lol. My poor little guy. I hope I can make him look half decent

Your talent with the scissors is tremendous and that pup is so well behaved.

Yorkies are known for collapsing trachea and a neck only restraint is not a good idea. Keep at least one leg/shoulder through the restraint to keep any pressure off the trachea. My girl does not pull but even this level of pressure would have her coughing for a week or two.
I love your sensor humor😂😂😂😂
When mine doggies go to the groomers I'm always scared they will get cut, but they people who do mine are are caring and loving,
