That fencing makes better tomato cages than the 3 footed ones. You need a support stick but they stay UP. Thinner wire with smaller openings is cheaper so just enlarge a few holes at various spots in each cage to grab the fruit. I do not have deer. 3' diamiter. Thin stuff comes just painted or coated but they last for years.
Yup tubes are nice they grow fast to a nice height for the deer to graze lol. Our friends @ DNR are fencing in acres of tree plantings as a "study" of how deer affect tree establishment ?
Had the same thing happen to my chestnut trees in western ny.. we bought more tubes and cut them 12” long and zip tied them to the top… cheaper and easier

Sam I had issues with deer eating my swamp white oaks I used some latex paint thinned down enough to go through a sprayer and it works good
