Thank you Strawberry - I fell in love with this place when I moved here in 2020 and I’m happiest when I’m out hiking around. It is a fraction of the books I own - I have so many in my storage unit back East but I just can’t resist - hardcore bibliophile 😍 Will def do a review of the Library Esoterica this week. 🤗🤗

Lovely video. I am happy for you that you live in proximity to beautiful nature. The closest I have is giant Griffith Park, not complaining as I adore hiking its trails, but my happy place is our California deserts filled with wild vistas of surreal vegetation, contrasting colors of earth and sky, and the summer drone of the cicadas. I certainly noticed Frida Kahlo in your studio! I just visited her house in September. I remember my first visit there over 30 years ago I could not resist touching one of the posts of her bed. I will never do that again. She is certainly a powerful presence even today, despite the rampant commercialization of her person and her art. Speaking of art, I absolutely love the crow sketchbook! I agree with you about California - I have only lived here for 2.5 years - though I have been traveling to San Francisco since I was just a child - but in the short time I’ve lived here I have developed a deep connection to this land. I love it and count myself so lucky to live here. Frida - I love her and have a number of books and things depicting her and her art. I love studying the masters and will work with her in depth in 2023 - more to come. Oh, and how amazing that you visited Casa Azul - what a treat! I’ll bet that bed post still had a lot of energy (you said you’d never touch it again - I imagine there’s quite a bit of pain and agony still resonating through time). I’ll get my crow sketchbook finished one day - it was a prototype for my Book of Raven art journal that I donated to the Brooklyn Art Library Sketchbook Project. 😍 Hope you are having a happy holiday season Scott - wishing peace and joy for you now and in the new year.

Obviously they have great meaning to you but they are are also aesthetically beautiful and quite tactile. I really loved you book of crows, I hope one day you get it finished. My husband and I have been in our new place for for over six months and still haven't managed to do much! (Although the sale was dragged out so we were probably just so relieved that we were finally in our own place that we felt we could finally relax for a bit.) Blythe dolls are addictive - be careful. Most of the clothes I have been made by very talented creators from Etsy, I have knitted a few jumpers for them (which also fit other dolls), although one of my aims for the new year is to get my doll room sorted out AND finally get around to making clothes for all my dolls.
@@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis the last thing I need to do is learn another craft yet I had a dream last night that I was learning to knit. 🙄 I know what you mean about getting into a house though - it’s an exhausting process - the packing up all the stuff (we have so much stuff) and then moving it all - though we hired movers I swear to god I moved so many boxes myself that I felt it for weeks later. My partner is still unpacking his office/library. 😂 I hope you are feeling better today - I have some work to do this morning and then I’m off through early next week - so my goal is to make a few videos during my down time because I’ll be traveling most of January. I’ll be in New York City for a week and I know there’s a few really nice toy stores - maybe I’ll hunt done a Blythe there? Have to do a little research. 🎄🎁🎉💃

Haha! I have often thought that we are sisters!! So much in common - art/witchyness/love of nature etc! You really totally inspired me to honor my inner playful heart and unbox these Barbies and create a collection- trying to get the Wicked Witch of the West for the Barbie Coven - will be sure to update when I do.
