Many Taiwanese have English name. Especially in the large company they call each other's English name.

Who are you trying to be so hard? trying to be white?It's silly more to say ridiculous.You should be proud your identity as a Taiwanese.

English name has nothing to do with the racial identity, not even try to be a WHITE. Like in my IT company you call everyone English name, including calling my boss, that makes a company like a family. Also we have to deal with foreign customers, an English name is far better for them to memorise it. Surely we are proud of our Taiwanese identity.
