Best scene in the entire show easily. Faye's voice acting was intense. Her range of emotions going from angry, to sad, to just broken was crazy. You can hear the point where shes just lost hope in her voice.
Salamander Fry the voice acting for bebops dub is honestly unparalleled from all anime, the only ones that could come close are Baccanos dub as well as panty and stockings but bebop very much excels in every aspect and that’s why it’s been my favourite show of all time for the past 13 years, nothing is like it.
@@stoicbartender I also like samurai champloos, the main cast and a few villains. Berserk did great with the main 3 Guts, Casca, and Griffith, especially Griffith. Afro Samurai as well, I didn't know Justice was fucking RON PERLMAN for years cause he did so good, such a sinister voice. But nothing tops Bebop.
Salamander Fry Samurai Champloo is actually my second favourite show of all time. I’d say it had the best ost of all time mainly because I’m a sucker for Nujabes but overall champloo is so good that I’d almost put it on the same level as bebop. But I connect with the cast, the atmosphere and spike a bit too much therefore nothing will ever top bebop for me

As she sings those words, a man with wild hair and warm eyes walks into the pale light and pulls himself up to the bar. To his right, an older man with a metal arm, stares into his drink. The two don't speak, and instead settle into comfortable silence. As the song reaches its end, a regular turns from the barkeep, waving as he tightens his coat against the night air. Without a word, the young and old men rise, dropping their tabs on the bar, and following their mark out into the night...

I love every version of this song that gets released. I't a great tune regardless of the version. And this version is no exception. Mai still kills it. That being said, I'm pretty sure you've heard the version I'm linking below, but if you haven't, you should give it a listen. It's become my personal definitive version of the song. And its almost the only one I listen to anymore.

I used to fall asleep with the Cartoon Network on and I would always wake up when this song started playing. It's really strange having a song stuck in your head in a language you do not speak. I can sing along with most of it now. The meaning of the words, I do not exactly know, but the meaning of the song was always clear.

This made me cry. I first heard Yamane-san when I was in high school growing up in America. Now I've lived in Tokyo for over 16 years and sell out my bands live shows. All thanks to Yamane-san and Kanno-san and crew for giving me the inspiration to pursue music. Thank you!

I don't know any Japanese to speak of but even if I never had heard the English translation I would still be moved to tears by this performance. There is so much heart, soul and emotion in her performance that it breaks any language barrier. The emotions felt transcend language.

My Grandmother sadly lost her life to covid in Jan 2021, songs like these are helping me get through this difficult time. I am also a musician (electric guitar player) and during this pandemic I decided to get a drum kit to teach my sons 8 and 6yrs old, side by side with their junior kit.
