Ein guter mensche........lobe den herren
a brilliant and holy man and Pope God rest him A Great Visit to the UK
..........When we had a Pope who could speak English! What a joy......does Pope Francis speak anything but Spanish/Italian? Pope Benedict spoke Latin, Italian, German, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and 3 or 4 others.
Francis can speak Spanish, Italian, Latin, Piedmontese, Ukrainian, Portuguese, French and German, and is reportedly working constantly to improve his English skills
@@Matt-cz6ti "Eedenberg," tho. Cringe.
He had to go and you know this very well. Too clever.
@@Matt-cz6ti that is not true, he has yet to speak any of those languages in public except for Spanish and Italian. Francis did speak English phonetically when he came to the United States. He does not give any greetings in different languages except those mentioned during the Urbi et Orbi at Christmas or Easter. This neither adds nor subtracts from Francis, there have been many Popes who did not speak other languages except for Latin and Italian.
@@tomkelly4336 Spanish and Latin should be enough. Deus vult.
🙏🙏💐
Deus salve o Papa e a Rainha.
Descansem em paz!

OPINION :
A GENTLEMAN - ORTHODOX SAID THAT :
GOD IS ONE ; WHILE GOD IS ( OF ( COMPOSED ) IN THREE PERSONS .
CHRIST SAID:" I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE : IF YOU SEE ME, YOU SEE GOD, THE FATHER.
THE FATHER IS THE ORIGIN OF GOD.
THE HOLY SPIRIT ( OR SOUL ) OF GOD IS SHARED BOTH BY ME AND MY FATHER .
THE JEWS AND THE MUSLIMS ARE RIGHT: GOD IS ONE.
THE ORTHODOX CATHOLICS ARE RIGHT: THERE ARE THREE PERSONS IN ONE GOD .
I SEEM TO BE MOVED TO AGREE WITH WHAT THE GENTLEMAN- ORTHODOX IS SAYING :
" THERE IS ONE GOD BUT OF THREE PERSONS."

THE GENTLEMAN-ORTHODOX ADDS :
" I TRULY LOVE OR TRULY LIKE THE OLD CHURCHES, THE CONVENTS, THE BELLFRY , WITH SEASTONES AS WALLS; WHICH WERE THICKLY BUILT ; THE SACRAMENT INSIDE THE GOLDEN COVENANT AT THE FRONT OF THE ALTAR; THE CHURCH CHOIR. ON THE GROUND FLOOR, OR AT THE LOFT; THE COMMUNION RAIL; THE TWIN CONFESSIONAL CABINETS BY THE SIDE OF EACH OF BOTH ENTRANCE DOORS .
SO LOVELY .
THAT WAS BEFORE THE SECOND VATICAN COUNCIL IN THE 1960S.
I HOPE THEIR LOOKS WILL COME BACK IN EACH OF OUR TOWNS .
( HERE, SEE, AS AN EXAMPLE, THE MOVIE CALLED :" THE CONFESSION ", BY ALFRED HITCHCOCK AS THE DIRECTOR , W/ MONTY CLIFT AND ANN BAXTER AS THE MAIN STARS. )

BigBing, Simon Peter of Bethsaida spoke Aramaic and some Hebrew. No too many people spoke those languages back then. Find out how many people speak Spanish and Italian today. Pope Francis is doing fine!!
jozpiz,
When The World needs to communicate, it does it in English.
This becomes particularly noticeable during times of tragedy.
All over the world, there are significant numbers of people who can ask for help, follow simple instructions, give directions and welcome others, in English.
