A big bottleneck for the GTR's is their intercoolers and small intercooler piping. This is mainly because people tune their GTR's for more boost, yet they never work on improving the cooling. As you add more boost, you need to upgrade your intercooler and intercooler piping to keep those air temps down.
Especially if you're racing people in your GTR.
The reasons I consider this to be the best intercooler for the GTR is due to fitment, factory mounting points, build quality and the R&D Boost Logic has when developing a new product.
And the reason I consider this to be the best intercooler piping for the GTR is due to build quality, the thought that went into the design, how aesthetic these pipes look in comparison to other brands pipes, and the fact that you can run TiAL blow-off values (BOV) is so nice!
Some info on the Boost Logic Intercooler:
1000HP rated intercooler. Boost Logic uses the same vertical flow design as the factroy to maintain a low pressure drop and high CFM rate. Using the largest core possible to fit within the confines of stock ducting the intercooler has the ability to efficiently flow enough air to allow your GTR to make over 1000 wheel horsepower. The intercooler retains all stock ducting, brackets, and can use the OEM style intercooler piping. The intercooler is hand-made in house and the end tanks are polished to a mirror finish. The same intercooler was used on Boost Logics record setting GTR during its 203.4MPH Standing Mile..

You shouldn't need the bolt hole to line up with the vacuum line nipple, the inside of the bolt housing is beveled out 360° for air to flow all around the bolt itself. I run the same setup with no issues with VTA and my bolt holes dont line up with the nipple. If you ever get a chance pull the bolt out and look at the inside of the housing, air flows freely all around the bolt and will find the hole 😂

Yes, you will need a tune. But in my opinion, just the sounds alone makes it worth upgrading to these blow off valves.
