How to change your oil - 2006 Tacoma Prerunner 4.0 V6

This video is for educational purposes only. It’s up to you to make sure you know the type of oil to use, how much oil to use, the location of your oil pan, plug and filter, the torque specs for your specific vehicle, etc etc. I am not responsible for any damage or injuries caused if you decide to attempt an oil change yourself. My suggestion with tightening your filter is to tighten it until it’s no longer easy to spin with one hand. Keep in mind you can over tighten the filter. Again, just a suggestion, I’m not responsible if you don’t get it on there right. Use your best judgement.
Also be sure to have everything you need to do the job before you start. Your vehicle can’t be run until the new oil is put in it so if you get halfway through and find out you need a different filter or more oil you’re gonna be needing to find a ride.
Be sure to find a flat level place to change your oil and check the level at the end. Working while on hills will effect your reading.
