Hi I just got accepted to Columbia a few months ago a and I plan to major in Journalism. I was wondering if we have the option to stay home the first year due to covid and just work online
yes and no, you get to pick your building preferences in order from 1-3 then you create a roommate group. It's not guaranteed you'll have them but you may have more people than what you requested. I had a roommate group of 4 total but we had 5 people in the apartment
Unfortunately not Freshman year, but after that it is first come first serve for your choice of building and the good thing is all of four of the buildings are really nice and none of them are disappointing options.
What are you and your roomates majoring in? I'm thinking about CCC's acting B.A. ... Still not sure if I should dedicate my college education to acting or something a little more pragmatic and realistic 😂 Plus, so many of CCC's programs appeal to me. I have way too many interests! By the way, your dorm and the view especially is absolutely stunning!
Hi! Sorry it took me song long to get back... thank you so much! The two roomates seen in the video and I are all musical theater majors and our fourth roomate is a film major. I would definitely encourage you to go for the acting program at Columbia because the faculty is all working professionals in the industry and it's an overall wonderful program and school! :)
@@playnjayne1047 thank you :) this helps! I submitted my application a week or so ago for photojournalism, and I'm thinking if I get accepted of starting with a minor in acting, and if I like the classes and feel like the acting major would be a good fit for me, I might change my major from photojournalism to acting. Again, thank you for your input! 😊
omg when you showed 713 i automatically thought of Nick's video haha. so weird that you got that room
Omg do you know him haha? Yeah it's so weird. I watched that video when i was deciding on colleges and then ended up in that exact room

I heard you dont choose what building you live in freshman year but can you choose how many people you want to live with?
