I have no idea why I like your blooper s at the end of your vids? I truly miss them when they do not happen. They always bring a smile to my face. 😄 Keep doing what you are doing. We love you guys!
Exactly what Randal said! Especially with the bottom of your filter being so easy to access and room to be able to use an extension so you can get an easy turn of the ratchet to loosen it with. You should be able to get your plastic bag or whatever under the filter to limit the splash/drips.
I enjoyed this video even though I'll never do these kind of chores. When you put that big pan with that gasket on it, up to screw it on and the gasket was slipping all over the place, I had to hold my breath. You skipped showing us the battle and I was glad. Angela, you are a great "filmologist"!! Hi boys....see you next time.
Sam; I have used sewing thread to secure the gasket to the pan. I tied the thread loosely in about 6 bolt holes and it worked great. Thanks for the great videos. Frank 😊
Don’t have a RV, we’ve got a camper, but just like watching you guys doing stuff and hearing Angela laugh about something. Have a great weekend Take care
My truck dip stick is that long. I pull 2 arms length to get to the end. Love the video. You did a great job showing how its done. Especially changing the tranny filter. Bloopers are always fun.
Sam and Angela, thanks for another interesting video! I enjoy seeing all that you guys do and I completely understand your need to move the channel in other directions; however, I sure do miss hearing Angela say "...on the homestead" at the end of your videos. It was a tag line that seemed to wrap up everything very nicely. Blessings to you and your sweet boys, always!
I had a 1999 Fleetwood Bounder 36’, and a 2015 Georgetown 34’. Both had the F53 chassis with the V10. I installed the Fumoto valve as well. Obviously, the engineer has never turned a wrench. Always an aggravation to PM the vehicle. We now have a 2023 Thor KW29 31’ Class C. It has the 7.3L V8. The oil pan drain plug and the oil filter are side by side, with no chassis components in the way. It’s such a better design. It’s nice to see an actual owner turning his own wrenches. Dying breed my friend!
@Sam & Angela I LOVE WATCHING YOU ALL, FOR THE LAUGHS & BLOOPERS!! I don't even Own a vehicle Anymore 😂 I think it would have been EASIER Sam to have Spun the RV then that Filter. Some LifeHacks are just Not Convenient 😅 **Did You hear the One about the Guy Who went to Parts Store & Ask for a NEW Dip Stick. Clerk asks, ?? what happened to old one? Guy Replies, It doesn't Even touch The Oil Anymore!! 😂 A little Friday Night Humor from MO ❤LOVE TO YOU ALL NO off-roading like ON the Movie RV..😂❤ GOD BLESS until next time... (I spend way to much time Alone😂
Certain things you don't want to do but are necessary. Now you have that done and your ready to take off it's something you don't have to worry about. Your ready to go and less to worry about.
Good morning Sam and Angela . OHHHHhhh Goodness, when you chortled as you realised you dropped the cover in the pan ,,,,,I felt for you there Sam. OMG!
A good trick if you want to do an operation and have fluid come out is create a vacuum put a shop vac on the filler port of the engine oil and when you remove the drain bolt to no oil will come out
Hey Sam, instead of crawling around on your back under those vehicles, why not use your excavator to dig a shallow trench for you to sit up in, more comfortable and more accessible.
Always make sure your gas tank is full when you park it for the winter so you don't have many space for condensation in your tank. And always put Stable in your tank.
For your comfort on a gravel driveway, I use an old cardboard box that has been flattened. Once it gets too dirty, just toss it away. Your old engine oil filter looks much bigger than the replacement.
Looks to me like you need a servicing pit with all this machinery on the homestead 😂😂. Time to get the digger and some blocks out😂. Interesting blog. Fond regards to you all from the U.K.
Start going counterclockwise. Then you can fill your threads seat properly. Then you can tighten it. Crossthreading happens from tightening it down while the threads aren’t lined up
I giggle when he says oil. I can't spell it like he says it. Not trying to be mean. I love accents. A couple other UA-camrs say the man's name Don, but the way they say it it comes out "Dawn".
Thanks! I struggled to find good videos to watch before doing this job, so knew I needed to cover it for others. :) I used carb spray cleaner for the last bit of residue. I made sure it was completely dry and never touched the gaskets.
came intoo a bar when i was young and there was this guy that allways took a hardboiled egg out of the basket and used someones forehead to break it someone else figured it would be funny to put a raw unboiled egg in the basket it was kindah funny for those around him and the girl he tried to break the egg on the eggjoke drissled right intoo her cleavage and you could see him thinking ....... am i going to offer her to clean it ......... sorry bit off topic but trying to wipe off the oil just made me think of that one
Absolutely no need for that oil filter to be that tight. Whoever did that is lucky they didn't squish the o-ring & have it leak. Previous owner probably took it to jiffy lube
I have no idea why I like your blooper s at the end of your vids? I truly miss them when they do not happen. They always bring a smile to my face. 😄
Keep doing what you are doing. We love you guys!
It is nice to see that well organized people like Sam and Angela are just like us.
The funnels gave me Blazing Saddles flashbacks... 'I'd say you boys have had enough!'...
lol yes!!! Us too!! 🤠 🔥 💨
Buy yourself an oil filter cup that size. You fit it over the bottom of the filter and put your ratchet in it and loosen it that way. Works wonderful.

The holes in the gasket are punched smaller so that you can use a couple of the bolts to secure the pan to the gasket
Don’t have a RV, we’ve got a camper, but just like watching you guys doing stuff and hearing Angela laugh about something.
Have a great weekend
Take care
I laughed so hard with the oil dip stick!!!! Love your show!!
My truck dip stick is that long. I pull 2 arms length to get to the end.

I run the end of the drain tube directly into the jugs I use to transport the used oil to be recycled.
Hi Sam and Angela! Have a great weekend!

Hi Sam and Angela! Youre just plugging away at the list! Great job and a great video! By the way, the tires look great too! 👍 😊❤
Love you guys! God bless you. ❤❤❤❤ Linda from Florida

🎉 YAY YAW! 🎉
Another great video!
Big hugs and big love!
Have a blessed weekend!
✌️💖🙏🙌🇺🇲🕊️🤜
Hey Sam, I know Im late in suggesting this again but small liquid transfer pumps work great for these kind of needs.
Good morning Sam and Angela . OHHHHhhh Goodness, when you chortled as you realised you dropped the cover in the pan ,,,,,I felt for you there Sam. OMG!
😂 you rock ! Love watching you!
Keep on rocking the channel it’s working.
That’s a great idea!!
Great video! Oh the memories you will make with your new toy!! Yeah!!
Don't forget that black cap, I have seen those fail and leak oil. K&N oil filters have a racket spot on the bottom of the filter, much easier.
Always make sure your gas tank is full when you park it for the winter so you don't have many space for condensation in your tank. And always put Stable in your tank.
Sam you can do it. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and working on your motorhome to change the oil transmission
Now, get it vinyl wrapped to look like Cousin Eddie's RV from Christmas Vacation.
When you change filters, use a sharpie to write the date on the new filter.
You got that right!
This is why they made grease pits to allow easier access underneath.
Great job 👍👋
Good job you too
Great video!😊
Thanks! 😊
" we had beans last night didnt we ? " laughing childishly .....ahahahahahah lots of wet farting noises
Start going counterclockwise. Then you can fill your threads seat properly. Then you can tighten it. Crossthreading happens from tightening it down while the threads aren’t lined up
I’m thinking about getting a RV of some kind. I will have to rewatch you at that time😳
I love your accent!! “uhle” for oil👍🏼❣️. Great job guys!!
Or awl, LOL
I giggle when he says oil. I can't spell it like he says it. Not trying to be mean. I love accents.
A couple other UA-camrs say the man's name Don, but the way they say it it comes out "Dawn".
So great that you all can fix all that is /was wrong and will soon be able to have a good time road trip! Where are you planning to go?
We hope to hit the SC coastline first (familiar areas), but also want to head into Florida this winter some. :)
Sam I never knew that drain valve existed
As a younger man, I used to change my own oil. Today's video reminds me why I now pay someone else. Nicely done, but somewhat painful to watch.
Definitely Waffle House! I live in Wyoming and we don't have them here. I miss it!
Punch a hole in the oil filter to drain then remove. Truck shop pro tip
The dipsticks need to be like those retractable leashes, rolls up to the marks but it unrolls once it's on the tube
Oil filter is hand tight and maybe 1/4 turn. You need to see a Dr, about that gas issue. lol 😂
Curious…could you have jacked up the front half of the RV?
Are we ready to go yet lol❤
Getting closer each day!
I would have left the top closed to reduce flow while I put in the flow valve?
Great video! Not a lot of great videos covering transmission servicing out there. Quick question What product did you use to clean your pan?
Thanks! I struggled to find good videos to watch before doing this job, so knew I needed to cover it for others. :) I used carb spray cleaner for the last bit of residue. I made sure it was completely dry and never touched the gaskets.
You've probably been asked this before but have you ever tried to convince anyone to eat green eggs and ham?
I don't think they oiled the gasket on the filter last oil change😮
🙋♀️🌻👍
Don't you like laying in the gravel?
When did the channel name change? I must be getting senile not noticing.
About a month or so ago.
@@hammathguy3995 Thank you. I just see Sam and hit play..
💖💖👍👍🙏🙏👍👍💖💖
I don't know why I watch these? 🤔
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

sorry bit off topic but trying to wipe off the oil just made me think of that one
gallon ziplock bag works better take it off and zip it up and your done
OL
LOL
Looks like you bought another honda element
Good eye! :) We did.. it's our tow vehicle for behind the motorhome. It'll make its way into a video or two in the future... it needs some work.
Messy job. ❤❤❤❤
That is a very tedious job🫠
Absolutely no need for that oil filter to be that tight. Whoever did that is lucky they didn't squish the o-ring & have it leak. Previous owner probably took it to jiffy lube
Sounds like diarrhea from the beans 😂
You should fill your oil filter up before fitting it
🙋♀️👍💕
