This was the 1st video of yours that I've watched. Without having watched other reviews of yours, I can't comment if you don't provide any negative feedback. My review of your review is that you sound more like you're selling this vehicle than you are providing an unbiased opinion. I saw the 2025 Telluride in person the other day and I like it's exterior design and at first glance the interior was nicer than I was expecting including the seats. However, at second glance, the seats look cheap compared to those in other brands like the Toyota, for eg. How you could not criticize the seats is beyond me. The are flat and firm and provide no real body contouring. Not sure what the 2025 Honda Pilot's seats look like in person, but my sis' 2023 model has similar flat and stiff seats, which stood out to me immediately. Alternatively, if you look at the seats in a Toyota, they look much more sophisticated - nicer leather, more cushioning, and they have body contouring, as do the seats in the Mazda CX-70 and CX-90.
Despite a flurry of new and updated products, particularly from Mazda, GM, and Toyota, the Telluride still stands out for many reasons. The styling still looks as fresh as it did in 2020. The feature content, wireless AA/AC notwithstanding, is still relevant. Thankfully they stuck with the 3.8 V6 over the hit or miss 2.5T w/ DCT theyre using elsewhere, because the V6 and 8spd are good partners for the Telluride/Palisade. I was actually surprised by how well the Telluride...rode when I tested it. Its a cross between an air suspension but without the pillowy bounce. I can still understand the reasoning of buying this over many of the competitors, especially considering vehicles like the CX-90 Turbo S Premium, Chevy Traverse RS/GMC Acadia Denali, Explorer Platinum, and Toyota GH Platinum HMax all crest $60K easily.
@RealKevGotEm why not? It has low and high option models just like the rest. Sure it's RWD, but so are the Explorer and JGC. And the Explorer has even more power and larger interior volume, as does the Grand Highlander HybridMax.
@@naveenthemachine I had hopes for the Highlander but in person it looks like a big mom-driving station wagon vs an SUV... so I've ruled it out of my shortlist.
Personally I never like the whole “black-out” trim thing. I just don’t get it because to me it makes it feel cheap! Perhaps because I’m old enough to remember in 1970’s and early 80’s when the cheaper cars or trim levels did not have “chrome”, they had the cheaper black plastic trim.
From my few months research, I decided to go with Telluride. My 2025 SXP will come next week :) Here are the major cons of the same segment vehicles for me (based on fully loaded ones): Toyota granddaughter: They stopped manufacturing/selling now. So, skipped. Honda Pilot: Just ... too old for everything. Pilot is just staying in early-2000. Mazda CX-70/CX-90: Everything is worse than competitors, except the inline V6. Especially I don't understand what kind of customers they are targeting. Chevy Traverse: I got a big impression on my test drive. Everything was good as a family SUV, except the cheap engine sound. The cheap engine sound is one big reason why I didn't pick Traverse. But, the real reason is, there is no Chevy/GM vehicle got IIHS top safety pick 2024 :( VW Atlas: I'm looking for a peace-of-mind family SUV. German cars are good, but I'm now a bit tired with them. Kia Telluride: The biggest concern was "dealerships". Let's see. My bottom line is Tesla service. (It wouldn't be easy to be worse vs. Tesla service, sadly.)
Sadly, the Kia dealer experience is perhaps the worse, even below the American Big 3. And I don't understand why because their vehicles are certainly no longer "value" options(although the SX-P Telluride is perhaps $4-10K less than other loaded competition).
Just a little suggestion for storage testing, you guy should put hand sanatizer, a tissue box and maybe a phone charger and maybe a couple of papers to maybe accurately resemble what the average person would put in a center console or storage area. The donuts are a good test but I believe normal “junk” items are a more realistic to see how much can fit in the storage areas. At least keep 2 or 3 donuts on hand just in case.
I love the donuts! It actually keeps it very consistent. Using all the other stuff (what size tissue box, or charger…..) has to many variables I think.I recall years ago one of the auto magazines used cases of beef to check the volume of the cargo area in SUVs.
One thing you said that isn't really true... the seating options (captain's vs. bench) are NOT generally available as an either/or... Here's a quick breakdown: The only trims you can get either option on are EX or SX. The trims where only bench seating is available: LX. The trims where only captain's chairs are available: S, SX Prestige. Going X-Line or X-Pro will force you into captain's chair. I wish either seating option was available on all trims.
As of now we are in the market for a new suv. We looked at the palisade calligraphy and that is still high on our list. As well as the QX60. We also looked at this however it was only an outside look because it was locked and the dealer was closed. What really caught our eyes was the terracotta interior color. That’s something my mom really likes about the qx60 and this. However oddly enough she does not like the look of the telluride like she does the palisade and qx60. Ik the qx60 is kind of irrelevant because it’s not in the same class but when u look at the premium feel of this and the palisade compared to that, it’s kind of a good deal. Now as someone who is very much into these kinds of SUVs, I can notice the difference between real luxury and fake luxury. In person you can feel the difference in quality and luxury in the qx60 vs this. The 60 creates a good mix of good looks with a luxurious cabin which is what a lot of people want with the palisade and telluride. When these 2 first came out, I saw a lot of people mention they want the palisade interior and telluride exterior which this does not have a bad interior but it’s worth noting that the palisade has always had the nicer cabin. We are upgrading from a 2017 highlander so all 3 are nice regardless.
The Kia Telluride is a spacious and feature-rich midsize SUV with a powerful V6 engine, advanced safety features, and a user-friendly infotainment system. It offers great value for its price.
I was excited for my first test drive in a 2025 Telluride EX model and was shocked at how loud it was going over bumps, cracks in the road, etc. It reminded me of my 1997 Chevrolet Venture van. That was the worst! The Telluride may be a great SUV and I was ready to buy but not anymore.
I'm glad that KIA didn't try to re-invent the entire Telluride KIA brand. Hyundai did this with the new Sonata model which made brand unrecognizable, which made it go from popular to an unwanted model i.e. you don't see any new Sonatas on the street cause no one wants to buy them. The 2025 KIA Tellurides has a very similar mold which is awesome!
How do you guys get the headlights and tail lights to display the effects that are shown in your video??? I just started at a Kia dealership and I would love to be able to show my vehicles with that effect.
KIA keeps looking better for what they have to offer , however , not having wireless connectivity doesn’t seem possible in today’s car market . What’s up with the old style bulbs for back up lightning , lol .
Still the best in class Rest in Peace to the grand highlander and TX who failed miserably (just as I had predicted) to truly compete with the telluride They came in too little too late and they’re even further behind
Yea this vehicle is one of the few that doesn't look dated. I'm glad they did away w the amber colored circles in the headlights. That looked odd. Vehicles like the Explorer, Pilot, Highlander, and Traverse need updates way before this.
Note: Once you can actually buy a Grand Highlander it will have more space that is....;-) Not until sometime in 2025 is the latest info. Production is still at a halt. I find it funny how many reviewers mention a vehicle no one can buy. Grand Highlander hasn't been available anywhere since May of 2024. I get it, Toyota and all but you can't buy one. Obviously not as bullet proof as many assume/ believe.
Ford and GMC have upgraded their exterior and Interiors so good. While I watch this review this SUV is horrific. I just watched all of Ford Lincoln reviews. And GMC Cadillac Buick Chevy reviews.....this hurts to watch this temu designed Suv.
Omgg horrible from the rear trunk view looking towards the front. Lol So cheapy plastic and fuzzy back old back seat carpet style material lol this suv is not a 200k miles on the dash Suv. 70k at best lol

Crazy that in 2025 Kia and Hyundai’s most expensive cars still won’t have wireless Apple CarPlay or android auto like their cheaper vehicles do.
I believe it's simply locked out via software and it can be updated if they do it.
