This is when they got the idea to switch the real pages with fake ones. Had Mikami never went that day, they would’ve never suspected that the death note was there, the girl would’ve died anyway cause light had it covered, and the death note Mikami was supposed to use to kill near and the police would have been real. Light would’ve won. I just don’t like that he didn’t die by his own mistake. Of course he was wrong but after all his hard work, you just can’t help but root for him. So seeing that he lost after 37 episodes because he trusted someone else to help carry out his plan really ticked me off. Yes at this point he couldn’t have done it with just him and the girl because he already had misa relinquish ownership of the death note so nothing would be traced back to her. It’s just infuriating. I need an alternative ending please and thank you.
I love how all the Light/Kira stans miss that the series is an indictment of the childishness of moral absolutism and black-and-white thinking about justice in a world full of so many shades of grey!
