Part 1: Breaking Yield Records - Indoor Cultivated Morel Mushrooms Harvested in January 2023

- The Danish Morel Project set a new yield record for cultivating black morel mushrooms in January 2023, achieving 5.6 kilograms per square metre in one of their pallet cultivation systems. This corresponds to a yearly yield of 15.3 kg per square metre.
In Copenhagen, Denmark, the biologists, scientists and twin brothers Jacob and Karsten Kirk have invented and developed a method for controlled indoor cultivation of black morel mushrooms (Morchella sp.) all-year-round.

but whats the point in showing us other than to gloat? teaching people new ways to grow food is important. it doesnt have to be for free but the fact they outright refuse to share how it can be done is just plain greedy
@@Vunderbread You are kidding right?! this isn't a new type of pest and drought resistant super corn that will feed the starving masses. It's freaking morel mushrooms, it's a delicacy, a treat, if you are trying to grow morels or any mushroom for nourishment you are an idiot. As to the why of this video, to show and advertise for their business that it's possible, this is a big accomplishment in the mushroom growing community and maybe to show off a bit, what's so wrong with that, they probably worked really hard on this venture.
Seriously? Get off your a** and figure it out yourself then. These guys are probably wanting to make sure their system works before giving any info or kits or whatever.

@@johnnyfish6051 It's not going to make it unlimited, especially if you notice they arent sharing the environmental data to recreate it (only one is bringing it to the states so far, they claim, and its near me eheh)
