Yeah you laugh in the book it’s a reference to dumbledore to Harry about the goblet of fire, in the book it said that he said it calmly and in the movie he screemed/yelled and kinda ruffed Harry up a bit
I made these for Christmas...everyone LOVED them. I cut my bars while the mix was still hot to prevent having to saw them & to prevent them from breaking. It worked great. You are a gift that the world needed. I love to bake and am always looking for new recipes. I’m going to make these this weekend. The videos are very helpful, and you have a great editor. You should have a reality show tbh where you run a cooking or baking competition.
I was sure they were made with confectioners corn flakes. I had to look that up to see if it had gluten in it. It doesn't. The list of ingredients online today doesn't contain the cornflakes. So thanks for confirming my reality.
An idea: Claire from the BA Test Kitchen folded Cornflakes into this (I think they do this with real Butterfingers as well)! Would be a relatively easy way to get more of a shattery texture, which for me is what makes them so unique 😊

@@gwengwen4535 that was not my point. My point was this person didn’t read the comments before posting their own cause the corn flake idea has been mentioned many times, so why leave a comment talking about the same thing that’s already been talked about.
My favorite candy bars in no particular order, are Butterfinger, Snickers, and Take 5, My take away from this is that i love salty, sweet, and crunchy, so my ideal candy bar would be butterfinger infused nougat, caramel, pretzel chunks (with salt), peanuts, coated in chocolate.
As a celiac I would greatly appreciate videos of “but better” gluten free!! I have faith in you dude!! I have to make these as a butterfinger addict :))
If it helps, I landed on your video from the "Unwrapped" video on how Butterfinger is made... they use crushed corn flakes in the peanut butter mix for the crunch. They do mention that there are some trade secrets in how the ingredients are blended, but the flakes basically give it the texture.
Corn (other than corn syrup) is no longer in the ingredients list. I should well imagine butterfingers are made in a similar fashion to the popular Asian candy Peanut Cake crisp candy, made by rolling a lump of warm sugar (the kind that is like taffy) into peanut flour, folded and rolled repeatedly to make the crispy layers as it cools.
@@dcwatashi ... Considering this video is about 2 years old, and considering my comment is about 2 years old... I'm thinking there were NOT 20 other comments stating the same. Butterfingers used to be my favorite candy bars, then they changed the recipe for some reason and it tastes more peanut buttery and less like peanut brittle, which is why I liked it in the first place. The new butterfinger recipe sux and I'm so happy you made this so I can enjoy my favorite candy bar again.
He is slowly turning in to claire from the bon appetit test kitchen
Came here to say this haha
i miss claire
BUT BETTER
I was just thinking this
Claire was the only reason I followed Bon Appetit
”Harry, make sure you SPREAD EVENLY.” Said Dumbledore calmly.
were we supposed to laugh?
Yeah you laugh in the book it’s a reference to dumbledore to Harry about the goblet of fire, in the book it said that he said it calmly and in the movie he screemed/yelled and kinda ruffed Harry up a bit

Joshua: "Microwave it at 50% power"
Me: Yeah my microwave can do that😅
If you have any microwave from the past 20 years or any non cheap microwave from the past 60 years yours should do it.
Pretty sure legit every microwave can do that unless it’s like one of the first ones
Just do it for half the time
For 5 seconds. Why not just microwave at full power for 3 seconds? 🤔

His mom has to be the sweetest being on the planet. She MUST be protected at all costs!
I made these for Christmas...everyone LOVED them. I cut my bars while the mix was still hot to prevent having to saw them & to prevent them from breaking. It worked great. And....I cheated & used a regular Jif PB & omitted the salt. These are better than the store bought by a lot! Great recipe Joshua, Thanks!
Joshua: “ or papa is gonna give you a spank...’
Me: ... go on...
I mean, same. 🤷♀️
I’d like this buts it’s at 69 likes
LMAO!! When he said it would be one you wouldn’t like, I felt like Quagmire from Family Guy on the episode where his sisters abusive boyfriend chokes him out... “I do this every day.” 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Oof
That’s gayyyyuh
Your mom is meant to b on camera. She has an energic but comforting energy ✊🏾
You are a gift that the world needed. I love to bake and am always looking for new recipes. I’m going to make these this weekend. The videos are very helpful, and you have a great editor. You should have a reality show tbh where you run a cooking or baking competition.
Ever since moving in with him, his girlfriend must just think that anything not made by him is absolute trash 😂
I love butterfingers, they are made with peanuts and corn flakes. That's what makes them so good 😊
I was sure they were made with confectioners corn flakes. I had to look that up to see if it had gluten in it. It doesn't. The list of ingredients online today doesn't contain the cornflakes. So thanks for confirming my reality.
Joshua: Why is it orange? Shouldn't it be yellow?
Me: What kind of peanut butter do you eat?

An idea: Claire from the BA Test Kitchen folded Cornflakes into this (I think they do this with real Butterfingers as well)! Would be a relatively easy way to get more of a shattery texture, which for me is what makes them so unique 😊
MIND BLOWN!!!!!
Try melting candy corn fully and adding peanut butter (2:1 respectively) mixing until fully mixed and pour to make a square. Cut to bars and do the choco covering thing. Find some plain Wonka chocolate bars if you want the exact chocolate ferrero uses in butterfinger. It's 100% exact and isn't insanely sweet like this chocolate covered peanut brittle. ( Cause that all this is with peanut butter in it)
Apparently, you don’t read any of the comments before leaving one of your own there’s already many many people who mention the cornflake ingredient
@@dcwatashiThis is the first time I’ve seen it, so I’m thankful they posted that actually!
@@gwengwen4535 that was not my point. My point was this person didn’t read the comments before posting their own cause the corn flake idea has been mentioned many times, so why leave a comment talking about the same thing that’s already been talked about.
Your mom is so proud of you!! It’s heartwarming
Papa, could we get a compilation of all of this years B-rolls for christmas ?
My favorite candy bars in no particular order, are Butterfinger, Snickers, and Take 5, My take away from this is that i love salty, sweet, and crunchy, so my ideal candy bar would be butterfinger infused nougat, caramel, pretzel chunks (with salt), peanuts, coated in chocolate.
sounds like you could probably make it yourself if you watch a few videos! :)
As a celiac I would greatly appreciate videos of “but better” gluten free!! I have faith in you dude!! I have to make these as a butterfinger addict :))
he threw the bar on the table and blamed the broken bit on a random 12yo. what a king
do u read
There has got to be about 20 other comments that mention corn flakes do you guys not read other peoples comments before leaving one of your own?
@@dcwatashi ... Considering this video is about 2 years old, and considering my comment is about 2 years old... I'm thinking there were NOT 20 other comments stating the same. Hell, if I recall there were barely 20 comments at the very time I wrote my comment, much less comments about corn flakes. Maybe you should have stood on your high horse on one of the newer comments, huh? I'm guessing you don't get invited to too many parties.
"Butterfingers, even the fire doesn't want them" I like them, but being from the UK they're hard to come by. Your one looks sooooooo good

I made these tonight and I tasted a bit of the peanut butter middle, omg it's fantastic. I know the final product will be delicious. Thank you for this recipe!
Joshua: “Why is it orange? Shouldn’t it be yellow because it’s peanut butter?”
Since when is peanut butter yellow?😂
It's a pale yellow.
Butterfingers are orange because of the annatto powder they put in it, which is loads better than the original artificial orange food color they used to have in it.
since -10 years ago
In my recipe, I used Candy Corn to make it orange.

“They’re sickeningly sweet”
I just watched the butterfinger factory video. They use special corn flakes in the peanut butter before mixing in the hot honeycomb candy. Their honeycomb candy also includes molasses. I'm thinking about trying your recipe with slight changes.
Looks delicious! If I made these, I'd make the filling thinner and double-coat in the chocolate.
