I am a 74 year old Grandmother and this song takes me back to 1950 at my home church in North Carolina. The Gospel never grows old neither will this song because Jesus won the Victory 2000 years ago.
❤Today is Father’s Day in America 2024 - I found this version of Victory in Jesus a few years ago & absolutely love it! I know it from my childhood & remember my father once telling me it was his favorite song - his name was Victor! During the Korean War he served in the Army Air Corps, was shot in a firefight & later on when the USAAC became the US Army Air Forces he was on a plane which was shot down North of the 38th parallel (North Korea) - thankfully everyone on board parachuted to safety but were MIA for 40 days. After his military career & back home in the States he became born again, married, attended Bible College & served as a pastor for several years. He never let an opportunity pass to testify to others about our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! He’s been with the Lord since 2013 & I miss & love him & have regrets that I didn’t understand him better when I was younger but I have the reassurance that he has Victory in Jesus & has long ago forgiven me of all my rebellion! Today I played & listened to this beautiful song in honor of my father on Father’s Day! Thank you New Vision Worship! ✝️
My nephew was in a rehab facility that was run through Christians and he fought the urges the sinful old ways and now is doing great things in God's name I am so proud of him he has grown to be a God-fearing man and I used to love to hear these group of men saying Victory in Jesus it was just so uplifting in my heart Goosebumps on my arms throughout my body because I know that God was there at the time when these fellas were singing this song because they were singing it to God who washed them of their sins and Jesus's blood that was shed that cleanse them to a whole new Life thank you God for your mercy thank you Jesus for your blood and thank you Holy Spirit for being with us always. God bless to all who have been moved by this song Marilyn
This song stuck with me since I heard it for the first time back home in Samoa 🇼🇸 a small country that people hardly notice. But God notice it. I was a teeage at the time just joining YFC for the first time. It was not easy because our parents at the time were so religious. Oraise God they finally acceptepted salvation through the blood of The Lamb. Im now in my sixties living in NZ and still think of this song. It just comes to me then I just sing it. But its been a long time that I kind a forget some of the lyrics. So this is all so great. Victory in Jesus always and forever. ❤❤❤Blessings and Peace to all. The lyrics preaches to you and can reach your soul. Just saying. Love you all In Jesus Mighty Name. Remember, Jesus loves you more.Amen
This is amazing. A woman suggested this song to me, as I’m going through a rough time…just had a bought off postpartum psychosis. Trying to return to taking care of my kids has been hard. Sitting in my living room in tears listening to this! Thank you! We all need medicine…mine is music. More so, Jesus! Victory in Jesus!
They sang this song in church the first time I'd been there since I was a teenager and I fell away from Christ and had been trying to get closer to Christ but my faith was low, and they sang this and I started pouring tears, I felt the spirit so much. And now here I am accepting Jesus as my lord and Savior! He bought us back from satan. I love my redeemer
This was the first version of this song that I could present to a "non-hymn" contemporary gospel praise team and not get laughed out of the room. I copied the link and then clicked away but immediately thought, "I owe them a like and a comment for the spirit that I felt while listening!" Well done New Vision Worship!!!
Why would they laugh? I mean just listen to the lyrics. The first time I heard this hymn was when I first approached Almighty God in my life and eventually made it to a night Bible study; it was made up of mostly elderly. This older gentleman next to me sang it out, out of his heart. I was really moved. I believed what he was singing. It’s like I am still seeking that version; I can’t find it. The older gentleman has passed on to glory. When he was singing his heart out and me shedding tears he was at least 70. This was back in 2002. That voice, that conviction coming from him-I want to hear again.
Problem with Christian contemporary music is that it can sometimes sound worldly. Have nothing against it tho, as long God is glorified and people are edified.
@@zzludzz Because they are a "non-hymn" contemporary gospel team...which means that they don't have a background in hymns. As such, that musical style is not their flavor.
@@Rayshald they would sing hymns with a choir if it were of enough showmanship. The old full 4 part hymns don't pull at the emotions enough for a contemporary church. I went to one for years.. they'd sing a revised hymn seldomly.. kinda like a rare sip of water to me.
I was just thinking while listening, that I will always like the older version better. Saw your comment and I'm totally with you. Opened my eyes and I thank you for spreading the word of Jesus;)
This song has always been my favorite, I stated singing it when I was 12 years old, 50 years ago !!! Thank you my Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior washed in his blood of the Lamb 🙏🏻 Hallelujah
nice, I encourage you younger people to embrace the older pentecostal ways......I have always lived the word since 1983......it brought me to tears, as I backslid for 20 years, i still loved jesus but i liked to drink alcohol, i tried my best to live the word even drinking. Now i drink one drink every night , but here I am at midnight on october 6 2021 loving this video...thank you new vision, believe with me I have the victory over demons from 1975-1979 , they attack my soul, and cuasd em to drink and use drugs often!....I rebuke the drug spirit, I have the victory in Jesus over all fo the old, old past
AMEN BE RELEASED IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS THE CHRIST. ...... AMEN AND AMEN!!!!!!!!! BE RELEASED FROM EVERY OPPRESSING SPIRIT IN JESUS PRECIOUS NAME , HALLELUJAH AMEN !!!!!!!!!
This is how we always sang this song in church. Then I went to a funeral and they slowed it down. NO! It should always be upbeat! Listen to the words. ALWAYS UPBEAT!
This encourages me tonight! May we all have the victory in Christ! The victory is ours! Thanks be to God! 😁☝️✋✋👌🥳 Please pray for me! Thank you! MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄🎁💗
wonderful Blessing. phrophecy being fulfilled. somebody testify. thank you. I looked up all scriptures on fear. Im not scared anymore. I know I'm going to heaven. I don't want my children to be sad. ➕➕➕🙏🙏
This song sends me back to my childhood days at Sege Christian Fellowship near Accra in Ghana way back in the 1980s, I miss my Pastor Gabriel by then. 🤣
Hey NVW, thanks so much for this recording! I actually cry every time I hear it. This was my grandmother's favorite hymn, and she died at 95 at the end of last year. This recording captures her love for this hymn so well that I chose it for the slide show for her service. Thanks again and blessings!
My favorite Baptist Hymnal 426. I like this video, I just have a question for the world. Why do we always tend to slow or soften through the songs progression?
