try twists and a retwist. I wash retwist and then do two strand twists. I wear the twists for 2 weeks, then take them down and rock the twist out for the next two weeks and then repeat on wash day. helps with root marrying and frizz, as well as loccs that are still not locd. I am 5 months in.
This video had me laughing fr 😂 I definitely can relate. These beginning stages have been WILD but it’s rewarding. Looking forward to seeing your locs progress!
I’m 5 months locked too! September 2 was my locaversary. I also have 4b and 4 c hair but your locs are longer than mine. I’m looking forward to being able to put my locs into a bun. I could have done that as a loose natural but the shrinkage is so real. 😄
LOVE THIS VIDEO. The realest loc video on youtube lol. She showed all the flaws and truths in that first clip before she washed it. I just started my journey so im binge watching loc videos and i just love everything about you sis. New subbie!
I started my loc journey 2 months ago and mine look like urs. I'm excited to see someone with coils and hair texture like mine. My ends are still coiled at the ends and the buds are slowly moving down, but I've been noticing flat locs, so I spray them and palm roll each one to reinforce the snape.
My hair is very similar to yours and I’m also 5 months in on this journey. I call them spider legs cause the budding is crazy, but them ends still skinny. Good luck on the journey love.
I think starting with 2 strand twists is better because it just seems like the locs will be thicker. I don't think comb coils are the best if you have a tighter curl. I think the 2 strand way allows the loc to expand better.
Enjoyed this video something to look forward to since I've only been on my lock journey for about 7 weeks now 😬😬 excited but a little scared. But I love my hair though❤❤❤
thank you! and congrats on your journey. i think any gels or heavier products will cause buildup over time in locs. i’ll be doing an acv detox pretty soon.
Your locs are beautiful ❤️& The reason your locs seem to be not wanting to join the journey with you and the rest is because of the wigs I am going on having my locs for 6 months now and I haven’t been wearing wigs for a few weeks and I have been watering my hair with a oil, herb, & water mixture and I have noticed a difference with my hair
If you want to have moisture to your locs and a healthy scalp the chemical made gels and waxes is not good. You can have moisture and a healthy scalp all you have to do is get some aloe vera gel (from the plant, not the container) and mix a lil jojoba oil in and there you go. That is all you need, if you are not sensitive to these things.
thank you! and congrats on two months!! i recommend 100% aloe vera gel. i also have a retwist video on my channel. you should check it out!! i also recommend washing your hair every two weeks (the more you wash the faster your hair locs) and only retwisting once a month (longer if you want thicker locs)
Let it do what it want to spray bottle water no chemicals good luck 🤞 l14 years more yummy cut j will do its own thing. AIR DRY IS GREAT ❤️YOU look great🙏🤲🙂✋️
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I thought my locs at 5 months were broken or something. I be looking CRAZY,This made me feel ok about it a lot more.
i always try to show my hair before the retwist bc these locs are DISRESPECTFUL 😂😂 im happy you found this helpful
Not broken 😂😂😂
Same
😂😂😂 you said they were broken!! I completely understand! 😂

Bro yes my locs in the front are still damn near loose hair while the rest are budding. It’s annoying me & my homegirls (rest of my locs)

You better than me! I try so hard not to pull off the lil “bugs” but I lose the battle every time 🥲🤣
ive lost before too 😂😂 you gotta be strong
I can relate, I'm 7 approaching 8 months and my hair still sticks in different directions 😅
i just posted my 8 month update and my hair is doing the same thing damn near 😂

Hii, I’m 2 months in and my hair is currently sticking up in my crown area and have unraveled from the root. lmao my second retwist is soon so excited
Enjoyed this video something to look forward to since I've only been on my lock journey for about 7 weeks now 😬😬 excited but a little scared. But I love my hair though❤❤❤
Your locs look so healthy. I started one month after you or 09-05-20. 4c hair. Congrats and keep going. alo vera will cause flaks over time.
thank you! and congrats on your journey. i think any gels or heavier products will cause buildup over time in locs. i’ll be doing an acv detox pretty soon.

Nice watching your loc transformation....thanks for sharing. :)

thank you! i agree because my locs started to flourish way more when i wasn’t wearing wigs. but i’m not ready to retire them yet 😭

nope it’s completely normal. im 7 months in and i still look crazy sometimes 😂
For me, Loc popping isn't so bad right after a wash or after spraying with plenty of water. I never pop dry
Super cute I’m 6 months loc’d today ❤️❤️❤️❤️
congrats girl!!! we started around the same time bc i hit 6 months on jan 24th #locsistas
New subbie here! Love your hair! It's been a little over a month for me! I'm excited about my journey
welcome to the fam!! congrats on starting your journey!
I have the same texture hair and I be having problems as well
" I call them my little bugs" lolllll
I love your personality lol
Love this bc my hair looks like this 😂😂
the struggle is real 😂😂
Same mine is just longer 😂
I can't wait for my hair to develop like yours, i started my loc journey 3 days ago. Does Aloe vera gel leave flakes? Sent from Darlington England.
you will get there just be patient!! the aloe vera can leave flakes if you use too much. thanks so much for tuning in!!
Love your hair💛, two months in on mine I haven’t done a retwist yet, I don’t know what products to use to do, do your have suggestions?
thank you! and congrats on two months!! i recommend 100% aloe vera gel. i also have a retwist video on my channel. you should check it out!! i also recommend washing your hair every two weeks (the more you wash the faster your hair locs) and only retwisting once a month (longer if you want thicker locs)
Apply palm roll friction from roots to end to make them more uniformed
If that’s what your looking for.. sorry had like 5 secs to post before video changed lol 💟
it’s all good lol. thank you for the tip!
2 weeks post retwist I feel like a bum. I have to wash a do a crsp retwist to feel like a lady again.
August 2,2019 is when I started.. so I’m really draping out here 😂
almost two years!! must be nice 😂
My first time retwisting mines took 4 hours😭I’ll see how long it takes after my second one (it probably took longer because I kept stopping😐)
i been grown my locs for 5 months now
congrats on 5 months!
Does aloe Vera gel hold ? I use taliah waajid product for retwist on my starter locs and it leaves a lot of build up
It holds for me and I have really coarse hair
@@Ashayshay bet, thanks
I’m almost 8 months loc’d
congrats !!
lol next month is my fifth month they wont stop sticking up
They do not like me...they are not on a loc journey lol
that’s how i feel lmao 😂😂
