The. Most. Beautiful. Song. EVER. Given it's not their best performance live, and people say the screaming is trashy live -- but bear in mind, for music like Alexisonfire's, it's constant screaming for maybe an hour long, every night for months on end. Any singer would find it hard. And the mix of screaming and singing IS the whole point of this song. How else capture the contrasting emotions in the lyrics?
There are a few cases where he does scream on the new album, and it makes it stand out and sound that much more badass. I'm referring to the ending of Sons of Privilege, some parts of Born and Raised, the end of No Rest, and of course the second half of The Northern.
I laughed for a good 5 minutes at the comment by BLUNTEDme. An yeah, totally agree that this wasn't their best performance ever. still love these guys though, and love how dallas has taken on such an awesome solo project!

@JamesHackSk8s When Vic sings after his concerts, his voice is still VERY good, even though he has squeals in them, or breaks in his voice when he sings. Big difference.

@Pwnscarx Let's not forget that Screamo was an actual musical movement, not just some buzzword for "screamy music". A shame that everyone's heard the word but no-one's heard any of the bands involved, and almost everyone uses it incorrectly.
It sorta sounds like performing with AOF strains Dallas' voice I don't know if anyone else notices/thinks that But I sorta like it UA-cam has live videos of many artists So it makes them seem human and not produced I guess...yeah

thats fine man i wasn't complaining. actually when i saw your post i noticed it. never really paid much attention to jordans drumming before i guess that's the reason lol. still it seems to work for them n that's all that matters
@JamesHackSk8s I don't expect bands to sound EXACTLY the same, I just don't expect to go see them in concert and they sound NOTHING like the way they do on their cd. I love when bands change their style, it gives them variety. What I meant by changing his style was changing the way he screamed. And I know I can't scream, that's why I don't do it. People who suck at screaming shouldn't do it either.. You know why? Because it sounds awful.

His screams are amazing, in my opinion. & they were all obviously tired. it was probably towards the end of the show. I liked his screams from Old Crows/Young Cardinals, it was kinda scream/singing. He really did scream in a few songs. Then they released Dogs Blood EP. that had LOTS of screams on it. look it up.

I was just trying to describe the reasons I prefer this album to the others in one simple sentence, but well maybe I should've said "A lot less screaming, a lot more yelling", but it's not just that, I mean their sound in their earlier stuff comes closer to screamo as nirvana's sound was close to punk.... I don't know... just gave a opinion an people can't accept that so they search for stuff to argue....
@TheKirbstomp16 totally agree. First album George was a good raw screamer, then they gave him a small boost for Watch Out. After that, he just became too produced, Young Cardinals especially ughh... he shouldve just learned how to sing normally lol I'll miss these talented fuckers

It's where their voices are altered in the studio and they can't match it at concerts. It happens. And he just happened to be one of those people who LET it happen. And I can understand the 'tired voices', but there is a difference when a great singer and a shitty singer sing when their voices are tired. Like Vic Fuentes from Pierce The Veil.

Look at Rise Against. they changed style ALOT. but they're still my favourite band. AOF is a close second though. Its even better that they're buddies. & why dont you try to scream? city and colour isnt the same. Dallas's songs are too bland. His vocals are better in Alexisfire with an epic band and great contrasting vocals of George. City and Colour is a tad bland in my opinion
