Great scene, definitely. For the first two seasons MV was a multi characters show, which was great. There were Sonny and Rico, Stan and Zito and Gina and Trudy. Plus Castillo. We learned about the character's lives throughout the episodes. When season three started it became more and more a one man show.It was all about Don Johnson because he had cut himself a sweet deal to continue playing Crockett. Unfortunately that didn't do anything good to the show. When season 4 and 5 were broadcasted most of the viewers had been gone.
@Vince D' I always said the first 3 seasons were the best. I watched the series on TV back then. By 1987 I was bored with the series. I didnt even know that Zito got killed off the series till 25+ years later after buying the DVD series...
Its true, but the series was still very good, every character had his own episode, in the final Season 3 episode, we know Gina's story, in S4 there's another episode focussing on Trudy, altough it sucked haha. In Season 5, "Heart of night", makes Castillos ex wife come back, the tragic "Too much too late", also focusses on Tubbs and Valerie and we know Stan's problems in "Hard Knocks". But true, the show changed a lot after Season 2
Miami Vice is one of my all time favorite shows. And I loved Sonny and Rico. But if there was any realism in this show, it was Swietek and Zito. Though goofy and funny at times, they were the most realist cops on the show.
This whole series had me hooked. It was so edgy and sexy and cool to me as a 12 year old in the Midlands. They were 100% gripping and bad ass and realistic to me! And they escaped most dangerous scenes with their pastel suits untouched. Perfection.
You are correct Sir, I just watched it again last night. One of the most badass lines in the movie-"....Let it go, or I'll give you a war you won't believe, Let it go" @@ste123456754
nope the best was the boxing ep. when he died, that was really surprising and sad. also when tubbs girl and child gets blown up " the child was not in the car though" but that really was surprising. I think the 3rd scene that i liked was castill when he goes up against some KGB and he kills them with a sword.
I love Zito and Stan. They are so underrated I think.
Yeah, so Hollywood to portray portly and/ or thin actors as the “comic relief” in secondary side roles.
absolutely ... they were as good as Tubbs & Crockett !!!
Yes they were!👍🍻

Love this episode because it was Switek and Zito's story.
I love when Larry goes back in and comes out breathing out smoke
you could see smoke being coughed out of Zito's mouth when Switek picked him up haha
ASHES HUH ASHES!!!? lol gotta love stan
First 2 seasons are the best
Hits harder after Zito's death.

Zito absolutely looked the part. If I saw him on the street back then, I would have told my friends , "Yo, He 5-O Ya'll".
"Ashes hu!? Ashes!!!"
2:04 - Ashes, Huh?! Ashes!!!

MIAMI VICE first season episode GLADES should have had SWITEK & ZITO taking the lead after losing a key witness in protective custody.
Best couple in Miami Vice
wasn,t the guy in the wheelchair the cop in rambo who said green berets are real badasses
That's correct
He said it to David Caruso's character didn't he?
@genXer3 no David caruso responded by saying I knew there was something about this guy

If you had gasoline spraying out in a mist like that do you know how big the real explosion would be? it would have blown that place off the ground.
moncorp1 Inc yeah everyone of them had gasoline sprayed on them. They would’ve been smoked like Cuban cigars.
What are they doing in the background at :36? All I see is them running toward the action as the cops pull up.
They were still in character, pretty funny.
Ashes huh, ASHES!
Crockett and Tubbs almost got barbecued. They noticed the gasoline.
@ste123456754 Yes! He also was "Mickey" the demoliton derby driver who crashed the 57 Chevy in 1980's Used Cars!
@VogelMc Yep I see it now. They're clearly running backwards as the cars first arrive.
Even women could not go between Larry and Stans friendship or even go between them and the team
I love how awesomely cheap this is.
Awesome.
Cheap like yo mama.
aaaaaasssshhheesss!

@ste123456754 That's right he was Deputy Balford
BALLS
Best scene ever if you are 13 years old. It sucks.
I love how people taking seriously literally everything what they read on the internet.
sorry, but there is literally nothing to claim this action scene better than other cheapass action scenes
