SOTD - Mon Guerlain Intense

That Gourmand Coquin is truly something special. For as long as they're making it, I'll always have it in my collection.
A recent gourmand addition to my collection is Choco Violet by Mancera. Simply Ayesha put me onto this one. The hazelnut note is front and centre in the opening. But it disappears after 30 mins and what you're left with is yummy chocolatey dry down. And it's super long lasting too.
I heard her speak of the Choco Violet and she really has me intrigued with that one! I really need to pull my Mon Guerlains back out. I feel like I haven’t worn them in months. Thank you for watching and sharing Funeka!
Mizensir is sooo underrated😍 I have a huge dent in my Poudree D'Or, so enveloping and enchanting fragrance😍 also i have Seta on the waaay, so exciting to try it, because yes it was a blind buy🤣🤣🤗
Seta took a couple wears BUT it definitely won me over. I was wearing a scented lotion with amber from BBW that was throwing the scent off for me. It’s gorgeous! Very long lasting too. Girl if you see my dent in Poudre Dor now 🤦🏾♀️. This video was filmed a week ago…now I’m at the half way mark lol 😂

I must stay away from this channel because each time that I watch, I add another scent to my wishlist (which means I am eventually going to purchase). This week, it's "Cherry Oud." I have two samples of "Escapade Gourmande", and absolutely love the scent; it is gorgeous. There are few people who wouldn't like it. However, I have not purchased a full bottle because of the projection. Sharida is right: the projection is moderate, at best. The longevity is very good, but, on me, after a few hours, I struggle to smell it, unless my nose is directly above where I have sprayed it. If you don't mind that, you should absolutely buy it.
Escape Gourmand is one that people will still smell on you and compliment you on well after you think its gone. I think its one that we get a little nose blind to.

@@SharidaM I ordered the 30 ML from Nordstrom, it’s not like I don’t like it I actually agree with everything you said, but my nose all I’m getting is a spicy floral but not rose dominant 😩 because I love rose 🌹 fragrances. Half of my collection is based on your reviews like Blanche Bette which I adore 🥰 but I wish the vanilla was more prominent in Possibilities.

Beautiful list. Lune Feline is an acquired taste. It’s a Smokey vanilla. Definitely not for the warm weather (I sampled it in the heat of the summer and I was not impressed lol) but tried it in a very cold winter day - stunning! Thanks for sharing your recommendations🥰

I’m curious what you think about LV’s new middle eastern collection - fleur du desert is a fresh take on Oud that is unlike any Oud I’ve ever tried. Absolutely captivating!
Have not tried the new LV ones but I think you will LOVE the new Guerlain Ouds. I think Roja does oud better than any other house I’ve smelled. Going to try the LV you recommended!
Another fab video. My scent of the day is Sultan by Royal Crown. The dirtiest, Smokey vanilla ever. Obsessed. And the bottle is gorgeous. I am definitely adding La Perla and Helwa to my list. Nomore splurging on mid performing frags (cough Escapade Gourmand and Tiholta) 😃😃😃.
😂!! I think most of the straight forward vanillas fall into the moderate performance range. But thats when Helwa enters that chat 😆. Sultan I wanted to like but there is a particular note that goes a little pickle juice on my skin… so never got a full bottle. But I do need to try more from the Royal Crown house.
I actually love oud anyway so I will check out that cherry oud! I can’t wait to try it. Another one I ADORE with string oud is Malesia from Xerjoff.
Have not heard of that one one, but will try to look that one up and try to get my nose on it. They have such a wonderful range in that house.

Our bottles of Cherry Oud are identical down to the dent!! Loved your video and description of it. Definitely last forever, wore it yesterday and just washed my turtleneck today and took it out of the drier and I could still smell it! Beast mode on clothes for sure! I honestly didn’t think the projection was there but I was at work Thursday and a buildings supervisor said hey I wanted to let you know you smell really good. I picked up my wrist to take a whiff and said oh thank you I didn’t think anyone could smell it . LOL 😂 HE SAID I smelled you when you walked in the building!
Yeah I think I thought the same about the Angelique Noire projection…. Thought it wasn’t there but so many people were complimenting me 8 hours later lol. I’m so glad I bought Cherry 🍒 Oud! Thank you ☺️ for such a fabulous recommendation!! Now I don’t even get the stronger l ouddie opening lol. Just gorgeous dark cherries and sexy leathery notes.

Cherry Oud is definitely one you need to pop into a shop and test on skin first. I LOVED the way it developed on my skin. But girl that opening had me a lil scared 😂

Ooooh I love Possibilities from La Perla too! Actually, I love most of this list... I am dying to try the Cherry Oud and the Nude Oud, but living in rural New England makes it hard. I like to say that's why I blind buy, but maybe I actually like that element of danger.

A lot of perfume companies aren’t listed on Fragrantica. The most reliable source is actually the perfume company, not fragrantica. Fragrantica is very frequently wrong. If fragrance notes are vaulted (like Xerjoff JTC collection) Fragrantica will post random guesses.
I’m so happy to see your review of cherry Oud and mizensir poudre! Poudre is hard to find, I bought mine from the website and excited for it to arrive! I really love Roja Goodnight Kiss sooo much as much as much as I dislike Lipstick Rose, so I’ll see how Mizensir Poudre compares. I get a lot of compliments from Tres Cherie 🥰 have you tried For Your Love or Sweet Praline, what do you think of those?
Hey beautiful! I purchased my Poudre from the Mizensir site as well. Selfridges also carries it. But yep harder to find. I Love the way For your Love smells but the Patchouli can be a bit much for me in the dry down. I just blind bought Ambre Magique and can’t wait to smell it! I love Tres Chere and will probably get my nose on Sweet Praline next.

I was the same way we libre. I didn't like the original or the intense but felt left out and wanted to like one and the Le Parfum is exactly what I wanted gourmand sweet sticky

I have been interested in Escapade Gourmand and Bianco Latte. I like strong fragrances with a good projection and sillage. Do these fragrances have good projection or sillage?
Both have great sillage. Bianco Latte projects more and lasts longer.
