Thank you for this. My family would vacation the last week in July back in the early 70's. It was the best time of my life. That pirate ship was right up there with the "Golden Nugget" mine ride!! There has never been anything like that ride. It broke my heart when I saw that it was gone. At least the mine ride was rescued by Knobbel's.... not so for "Wacky Shack", "Jungleland", "Keystone Kops"..... wish I could go back, just one more time.
"Yo ho ho and a bottle of Rum. Fifteen men on a dead man's chest!" They probably had to have the soundtrack playing loud to drown out the motors for the rotating heads and hands. You can tell that motor assembly was rigged a few times with leftover hardware - probably from Big Lou's tool box.🤣
@@funchase That's too bad. Do you know how many of the props/stunts were saved from the ship? I've seen the photo of the cook which was great....but how about the captain, or the prisoner, or the people around the rope bridge, etc?

I echo your sentiments. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Have you ever been contacted to display your stuff. The world needs to see this

Thanks - I’m happy you enjoy the videos.
This is very cool. I love when you post stuff that you saved!
Thank you - I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel.
I'm amazed that you have been showing stuff for over 16 years and still have under a thousand subs. But I enjoy your content very much ❤️
Thank you David - I appreciate it.

Very nice Ralph. Were you there when they demolished the Skua?
Thanks Bill. Sadly I was not aware at the time. The decision to demolish was kept on the down-low and was a shock to many, including employees.

@@DarkinthePark I know there were other props that were sold but I’m not sure which ones.
