I don't think that EVERYONE hated her, I think it was just Nicole and Michelle. She got a vote from Skinny Ryan, which was surely genuine, and a vote from Nicole and Michelle who I can see disliking her that majorly. I don't think Trish or Burton had opinions on her or it would be a 5-person vote, not one sincere and two spiteful. It's a funny schadenfreude story, yes, but it wasn't unanimous.

I thought the press vote-off of Jeff Probst was so obscure that no one else ever talked about it, but thank YOU, Peridiam, for bringing me a much needed serotonin boost with this core memory I have. Parvati once again running the table and pulling the wool over someone (Jeff)'s head, absolute icon.

Sydney and Danny had some WILD stories about what happened on their tribe in 41. One included Sydney pooping on the trail from water to the camp because she thought they were merging and it was her final FU to the tribe
I believe implicitly that Sydney would do this.
Here's one that I hazily remember...
In one of the "quarantine questionnaire" interviews, John Carroll said that he had taken a shit in the ocean in Marquesas, but it was apparently SUPER against the rules and borderline illegal. Apparently some officials of Marquesas got involved and Carroll almost got removed from the game. I read that interview a long time ago, but I definitely remember reading it.

I love Parv voting out Jeff, you can tell he was confused but amused, his word "I'm glad it's you" warm my heart, Parvati is the best.
The Outcasts might be controversial but it was one of their greatest twists as a one off and Burnett coming up with it was brilliant. It fit the theme of Pearl Islands so well and Lil and Burton coming back made the season what it was. I wouldn't want it again but for a pirate theme with Lill and Fairplay and Sandra and Rupert and Burton and the rest? Yes everytime.
The press vote out for Probst he looks so defeated and dead inside like of COURSE Pavarti got one over on him. He's so mad he didn't see it coming

The Russel fact seems pretty weird. I could see that scenario having a filming issue, since they'd want to get a shot of Jeff declaring a victor before the winner stopped playing. But if everyone knew that Russel won, why need to replay the whole challenge? Like I'd imagine that the editing team could figure out a way to show Brett dropping, then Jeff declaring Russel the winner, all without having to show Russel dropping. And if they needed to show Russel dropping, they could just agree to shoot that particular scene again, with everyone on the same page that Russel won. And if they really needed to have Brett and Russell face off again, why restart the whole challenge with Mick and Natalie? They could've just had Russel and Brett get set up again to the spot where Brett fell (or at least to the point where 3rd place dropped)
Russel always needs to make himself the victim who overcome the odds in some way. Even though he's a millionaire oil baron

Isn't there a Cirie interview where she explains a puzzle challenge in Panama that Aras pointed out was broken and they had to re-run it?
I think Aras' tribe lost then he pointed out to producers his pieces were incorrrect, they re-did it and he won.
I think he touched on that in another vid
for those who don't have the pearl islands dvd, the outcasts also had more visible advantages in that challenge which were also discussed on the same dvd commentary peridiam pulled the burton audio from. if you go back and look, they would typically prefilm a challenge demonstration so the audience could see it back then. for the digging under the cage portion they used the outcasts' lane, which made the dirt softer since it had already been dug up. you'll also notice that in the final section where they tie the sticks together, drake and morgan only had twine. but weirdly enough, the outcasts had little purple ribbons in their final cage all over the ground which made the pole that was eventually made MUCH stronger.

A story I’ve heard from Troyzan in a podcast, you remember in One World, when the men gave up immunity and went to tribal after winning immunity? What I found weird at the time was that there were already 8 seats at tribal, even though there were only 7 women left. Jeff’s reaction also wasn’t so believable.
Troyzan said that Probst knew about it beforehand, because he came to their camp.
Well, of course... he's updated on what's going on back at camp for the sake of being able to run Tribal Council and ask questions. His surprise was for the sake of TV.

When I spoke to Sandra before, she told me a lot of funny and unbelievable stories about her seasons, both the US and Australian Survivors. I was like goodness, how I wish that they would give us a lot of golden moments as there were a lot behind the scenes.

Apparently on a reward challenge on survivor Gabon Sugar straight up got high on some stuff the locals gave her.
That happens in many seasons. If it's legal in the country and the locals offer it, you take it. To pass it up would be disrespectful

Season 20, Tyson steals gasoline from production to start the fire
Season 17, On the family visit Episode Matty proposes to his girlfriend but right before there's an awkward scene where Matty and his girlfriend pass Corinne and her brother in the jungleon the way to the lake. Turns out Matty's girlfriend was actually hitting on Corinne's brother on the ride to Africa
Also ep 2 of Gabon is called "She Obviously is Post-Op!". I can't remember what's behind this one but it's a quote that never made it into the episode from Corinne..
Also sugar overdosing on meds early in the season and medical getting called in. I love Gabon lol

Speaking of Sandra, she said in an interview after her vote off episode *before the season ended* that her tribe ate *the mother goat and her child*. This contradicts the goat story in this video, which sounds more believable. That reinforces my belief that Sandra told that first story in an attempt to protect her “queen” reputation.
Russel also told a story on his channel about he and some camera guys got lost in season 20 when he went looking for food.

Since BBCAN10 wrapped up and this can apply to Survivor, a video topic suggestion on any sort would be the final/sole vote occurrences and whether that sole voter made the right, wrong, indifferent (didn’t matter either way), and murky (debatable either way or with the person(s) that went to end with the voter.

I think Brett winning and being edited out of the season are mutually exclusive tho. If Brett wins he probably doesn't get the "I don't exist until I go on a godly immunity run and become the biggest underdog hero ever" edit.

Russell also said that before that challenge and before the walk they did to honor their past tribe members, he had stashed and ate some bananas to have some more strength in the challenge

Wow, Shane's behavior makes so much more sense now.
Another story about Sandra, this time on HvV, was that she was super stubborn when questioning Randy about the machete. Randy said in a podcast that even after he explained himself, she just kept saying “okay, but where is it?” (I relate to that so hard, as someone who was also questioned like this before over a false accusation)
It makes sense for the editors to hide it, since she ended up winning that season, and that also does sound like her.
(winner’s edit is also why I don’t buy her piss-poor excuse to her bratty behavior after the Rupert vote in PI)
I completely understand her being uncomfortable, I’d probably do the same thing if I were in her shoes. Making her seem like the problem is a red flag imo.

@@mazdakmina9493 Randy actually sounded more like he knows they won’t let that go, so he didn’t go crazy about it. I watched that scene. They didn’t show the part of Sandra questioning him (winner’s edit), but he did briefly mention it to Rob.

If you’re referring to Sandra, Candice, or Abi Maria, it was their egotistical attitudes that rubbed me the wrong way, and the same also goes for Ozzy, Dan Foley, Rodney, and even Boston Rob.

In the challenge where you have to try to knock each other into the water or mud.. whoever hits the water first is out, even if the other person falls in right behind them. For that balancing challenge, whichever statue hits the ground first is out. Period. I can't even believe they would make a thing out of that.

I thought they sometimes run practice runs of challenges, maybe that's what Russel was referring too about season 19. I remember reading in the practice run of the season 31 final immunity challenge Wentworth won. Also Russel isn't the best source nowadays, he seems to have a vendetta against the show, I can easily see him saying he beat Brett twice, but failing to mention the first time was the practice run.

Iirc, one of the stories about The Outcasts was that they voted Lill back in because they didn’t want to be stuck with her in the pre-jury trip (and Jeff has said for many years that he hated that she was voted back in)

Had a paid zoom call with Sandra circa 2020 lockdown where she claims that when she raised the White Flag, the castaways on Edge begged for her clothes as it was so closed there. She claims that she gave her items in the condition that they won't gave one to Parvati, and she (Sandra) left the island in her underwear.
Sandra also claims that she and Denise had a pregame alliance so she was shocked when Denise blindsided her, but said she wasn't angry at Denise. She also claims that Denise and Jeremy's friendship soured after the game.
Kelly wentworth actually won the final immunity in 31 but it was deemed a practice so rip

Idk why they didn’t just use editing on the Samoa final immunity. Just clip away to Jeff saying his thing and clip back to Russell, like it was presented anyway 😂😂 but I agree on the puzzle challenge that you gotta call the check to win. Jeff only has 2 eyes and he’s the judge of the competition, not the production team.

Parvati playing the idol on Jeff Probst is so scripted. Both Jeff and Parvati were obviously reciting what someone else had told them to do. It wasn't her idea.

@@gabbilothschutz3887 yeah Woo got a random nickname called Weasel Woo and it was never explained why. Apparently he would sneak into the producers camp and steal their food, apparently he even used their showers at one point. He got the nickname because the other contestants were pissed that he got the advantage of food.
I am not a survivor superfan but it almost looks like the team that caught and let go the mom and baby goat… it look like they were eating PepperidgeFarm milano cookies 10:28 & 11:09. If that is what happened I would think producers rewarded them for making such an ‘awwwww’ moment. I dunno. Maybe there were just eating a challenge reward or something? Just thought I would share.

Jeff making Russell do the challenge again is messed up.. there is a huge difference with the laurel/Wendell thing. In that challenge is what about finishing first. Say someone is sliding pieces around in a panic and happen to slide them together but they don't even realize it.. that shouldn't count. But in the Samoa challenge it was about finishing LAST. Meaning whoever's statue was on the pole and longest should win. Even if it half a second. When there's a really close race.. they check the footage and see who crossed the line first. I don't even like Russell like that but that is just bs.
Moral of the story: Always eat male goats last

4. So far as I understand it, eating a mother and its baby is bad form in a system like Kosher, which isn't to say that all or any of them were Jewish, but from a moral standpoint, I do kind of see that one as a justifiable "nope".
5. Oh Gods, because there was no guarantee it would have come out the same way twice .Russ, if you read this, and if you play again, don't be impulsive. That's not a longshot statement, either: I know e Survivors watch these things. Poor Brett, though, he lost twice? Poor kid. I did like him.
I hope Russell plays again. And with a cast of people who play as hard as him not a bunch of sheep haha. He's just entertaining to watch.
I hated Russell his first season but have come to realize that’s because the producers shoved him down our throats to the detriment to everyone else on that season.
But since redemption island (is that the one with him and Boston Rob?) I have grown to love to hate Russell.
His tribe was so STUPID. they were coasting to victory but decided throwing a challenge so they can get rid of Russell is more important. SMH.

Jeff also needs to remember the 42 seasons he's been a part of, while Trish only needs to remember 1. And he does have a habit of rewriting the past.
I spoke to Trish for several hours. Alongside Burton's DVD commentary (which confirms what she was saying), I think most likely Probst was being hyperbolic with his storytelling to a large audience.
Did you already talk about Tyson sneaking peanut butter into Tribal when he was on the jury in Tocantins?
