Hi Denis, thanks for the video. I have a question slightly off topic. What type of pump is used in triton showers i.e centrifugal/positive displacement pump etc? I can't get an answer online. im in my last year of uni and doing a project on the shower for the module fluid mechanics.
We fitted the t 90 sr and the pressure is very dissapointing, no way as powerful as the old one. When I tried to swap the head from the old shower it was only dribbling out so I fitted the new one back on it was better. Is that normal? Something tells me these are designed with low water requirements.. I'm not happy with it all all. Should I contact triton?
Hi John, The pressure should be pretty similar, maybe a touch lower. You did move the commissioning link into the correct location I assume? The pump won't come on until you do this.
@@denismoloney27 How's it going? Ya we did that. Tons of pressure when cold goes very weak then the hotter you turn it.. basically were not happy with it. Its a shower yea but compared to the old one no where near. Also should there be an audible tone higher when turning the power up to full? Not the temp one now the power one? There seems to be very few holes on the higher pressure shower head and when you turn it so more jets come on gets weak.
I'm not too sure about the tone. The temperature dial in fact controls the flow. It reduces the flow to slow the water crossing the element which increases the water temperature. This is how the old ones worked too. There are different power versions so possibly your old one had an extra kW to it. There is also the illusion of less power with the noise reduction I think but like I said, it should be pretty similar. Make sure you have it set to full power because this allows you to get the higher temperature at a higher flow rate
@@6900pilot also if you are going back to triton on it make sure you leave it installed. They will send someone out to check but will not accept a return that has been removed
Obviously late to the party here… I have just ‘upgraded’ my shower, same as in this video, but the newer model does not heat up as quickly spas the old model. Is this normal?
Hi, thanks for uploading the video! Just wondering Is it easy to replace a Triton T90 with a T90sr? I'm not a plumber but would like to have a go at it. Do the fittings that attach both showers to the wall match?
Perfect video I was looking for. Thanks man!
Thanks for the demo. I bought a new t90 sr we couldn't stick the whining from the old one any more..
Can I hook the t90sr up to the mains water?
Hey denis i didnt see the blue light in the T90z what happened to the light?

Hi,
It's centrifugal pump in them, and would be same in pretty much any domestic water pump on the market.

@@denismoloney27 old 90z was 9.5kw this one 9.0. Would that make a difference? Cheers for the replies I appreciate it.
what happened to the t90z did it need replacing or upgrade
I was just sick of listening to the T90z.
Got one at home there so loud and annoying
@@denismoloney27 I love the sound on it

Why is my mira shower making a higher tone noise today
Blocked filter or the brushes are on their way out.

yeah its easy. The old screw holes should even line up. The unit itself is a bit smaller but it shouldn't matter.
Thanks ! That's good to know. All the best.
Hello denis teacher
doesnt sound that much quieter
My Mira elite qt keeps going hot and then a second later cold
Its not getting enough water. Trying cleaning out the filter
