I absolutely love Nordhavn Yachts they're the battleships of the seas plowing through absolutely any kind of sea state safely. Jeff Druek and his team certainly know how to build a boat that will take you anywhere in the world safely and comfortably. Another excellent tour of this Nordhavn 63 Jack.
Excellent review, I'm hugely impressed how you've grown in your reviewing. I'm also impressed with the Nordhavn 63, great looking boat and very practical.
Jack, you remind me of when we entered a Cook Is. atoll, deep in the South Pacific. We anchored alongside a family of 3 on their "little" Nordhavn 40, at that point about 1/3 of their way around the world. These are amazingly capable cruising boats.
Well done Jack!! You're the best yacht touring host and I think you're gonna kick yourself for not showing Nordhavns earlier! # of views will be huge! **Please include the utility spaces (or garages on the 60'+ boats) and a little longer in the engine room, you're going to have a large group of viewers who can be a little.....um.., geeky? Meticulous). The best all-time seller is 60, now there is a 625 which EVERYONE has been trying to film and/or get a look at, but so far - zada, zip, nut'n. All ya need now is a Fleming 58, I think the most interesting because it was built as an ocean crossing 55! Only layout is aft-master. Who the hell wants to be in a master stateroom in the bow? You'll actually float mid-air as you come off the waves! Cheers!
Love it! Much prefer this to a gin palace. I would still have 3 crew as I can't drive one of these things for toffee 😄 Think of all the places you could go....... Remember watching Stephen Fry and his friend going to NZ on a cargo boat. 3 weeks to Brazil from there, he'd taught himself Portugese 😮 Slow travel appeals to me 😊
Ironic you put this out today I was only re-watching the Arksen vid through the week. So Yachtbuyer team we're now all looking forward to the 2,000 mile test drive video, only about 50K to fill her up 😆❤️🇬🇧
Hi, a very interesting little ship , well built for those that like to take the slow way and catch their own fish , on route . A Well craft for me and be home before the kettle has boiled , lol . Thank for your video Jack .😉👍 no cupboard tour 👌
Jack, I honestly can’t think of anything that sounds quite as exciting as crossing oceans at 6 FREAKIN KNOTS!! 😂(maybe watching grass grow?) 🤷♂️ These are awesome boats, however.
I am in the buying process. When I was looking for a vehicle that would give me decent range (not necessarily Transatlantic) one of the sales guys I spoke with tried to tell me that 5 or 6 knots was ok. I was like NO THANK YOU I can walk faster than that.
Gentleman, I assure all of you that cruising at displacement speeds is absolutely relaxing. These boats are obviously intended for those that have already acquired the most valuable asset money can buy: time. It is the journey that matters, not the need to rush back to homeport after a day cruise to be working the early hours of Monday...
Every time I see a Nordhavn video - often from a certain Mr B - I immediately want one. The quality and purpose are enthralling. As a matter of taste they always seem over-stuffed with timber, which I find a bit grim, but that may be the North American market influence. Maybe I'll buy one cheap enough to splash out on a Kelly Hoppen style refit.
Great video. A bit too quick in the engine room though, was that a single engine? Did you explain engine size, fuel consumption, etc.? How are tenders strapped to the front of a 60 ft boat without waves knocking them out of saddles? I noticed that your website for this boat is excellent - and that it does explain the single engine with back up for emergencies.
The style reminds me of the type of yachts frequented by movie stars back in the 40's & 50's. Extremely elegant yet functional. The blue water build quality makes the majority of other brands look frivolous & somewhat tawdry.
Can anyone provide a good rule of thumb for estimating annual costs of owning and using this boat? (assuming 8000-10000 nautical miles per year and excluding any financing or acquisition related costs). Thanks
Every Nordhavn, no matter the size can go anywhere and the owner proved it by taking their smallest boat and took it to the most rugged and isolated places on Earth.
Love the idea of the Nordhavn , just way to slow 🐌 , prefer the likes of a Princess or similar , can go slow if not as far , but equally can get a move on , great tour as always, thanks
Great review, Jack, incredibly well built boats. Not for me though. A long passage on this would be down Southampton Water to Isle of Wight & back, a 5 hour journey! I'd have seen 10 IOW ferries pass me in that time, too 🤦🏻♂️ Horses for courses though, i know... 👍
Of you want long nautical mileage this type of boat at 6 to 7 knots is it. Nordhaven 62 is a great boat, she is built with safety in mind, she is comfortable and nice wood work. Everything is geared towards long cruiseing she is built to deal with good but particularly for stormy weather. She not like the super yacht with its chrome and glasses. She has practical luxury, for the guest and owner. Engine practical workman like.
I like your walk through, but there was a lot I felt messing. The cabins and heads were not fully shown and things like cabinets and wardrobes were not opened and those were some things I really hoped to see.
The pressures of shooting at boat shows often mean that time on board is tight but we appreciate the feedback and will hopefully be able to shoot a more in-depth tour of a Nordhavn in the future - Jack
A few more details perfomancewise would have been noce. What is top speed and cruising speed? What are the respective ranges? That is what people are interested in when watching Nordhavns (or Flemings)
I can never get my head round only having on side deck. If you need to go through a lock or alongside a wall, you need three people. People say go starboard side too. Try that with a French harbour master deliberately making life hard when he sees the Red Ensign.
As of August 31, 2024, there has NEVER been a walkthrough video of a Nordhavn 625. Never. There are a few meaningless videos, commissioning, launch, arrival, and even a 'virtual walkthru'. Please be numero uno! Cheers
Nordhavns are a gimmick yacht for a select few grandparents. There are far better yachts with equal range but also a better hull design so you can go faster than walking if you wish.
Ahh - My favorite brand. You could have done a 2 hour video and still not cover everything. This is most certainly not a Princess which will burn the same amount of fuel to go 500 miles.
Nice video. Even nicer boat. But, you left out some very. Important info. How many hours are on all the engines, etc. Very important. Thank you for the tour. 👍
Well I agree that the Nordhaven is a great product. They make boats ( ships) that are beefy and tough. They can handle most any seas that require a boat like a Nordhaven. However I have to be honest about it. If I could afford a yacht like this 63 Nordhaven I wouldn’t buy it. Why?? Because if I were going to invest in a boat like this I would purchase a Bering yacht without a doubt. If you compare the two yachts side by side, anyone with the knowledge about boating will agree that Bering Yachts are by far the safest, widest, fastest ship money can buy. Turkey makes some unbelievable boats today. Bering yachts are #1 in my book. Even if you are in the market for a cold Moulded hull?? They mfg. some of the best boats on the water. Bering yachts are insanely safe in any conditions. Their ships come with gyrostabilization mid ship and the boats are so stable you’d be hard pressed to find a mfg. as good as Bering. All steel below the waterline and all aluminum above the waterline. High quality exterior finishes and all hand forged stainless hardware throughout the boat. Their 78’ is amazing and about 30% less than the 63 Nordhaven. I will put a Bering Yacht up against any boat made today and with confidence say: this is the finest vessel made today in the world. Btw, I just love their boats. I will never have enough money or success to own a Bering and I get NOTHING for my opinions about Bering yachts I just appreciate high quality work and Bering is at the top of the yachting game. If you are fortunate enough to have the money to buy one PLEASE do yourself a favor and go tour their facilities and their model boats. You won’t be sorry. ✌️❤️🇺🇸

Cheers John, glad you enjoyed it! - Jack
Jeff Druek is the CEO of Outer Reef Yachts better than Nordhavn IMO
absolute bruisers these are. delighted to see one on the channel. well done, jack.
Cheers!
I love Nordhavn's they are just rock solid built and have everything you need in bucket loads. Great tour Jack thank you.
A pleasure, Sean, thanks! - Jack
Excellent review, I'm hugely impressed how you've grown in your reviewing. I'm also impressed with the Nordhavn 63, great looking boat and very practical.
Thanks Michael, I really appreciate that - Jack
As usual top review! More boats like this please!
Thanks; message received! - Jack

Another Great review, great boat
Near perfect boat and tour except the tour could have been twice as long. Thanks Jack.
Thank you for listing the prices now!
You’re welcome 👍
Thanks Jack!

For me...Best in range of Nordhavn's...Nice one mate 🙂
That engine room is beautiful

@@fernandocarvalhoborges9139 thank you. I bought a 62’ with a decent range @9kts. That’s my point. I’m perfectly fine at 7 - 9 knots.
@@fernandocarvalhoborges9139 well said! Thank you
My kind of yacht. Sturdy, can go exploring, luxurious, yet not flashy, just a practical, no-nonsense boat that you'll get very attached to.

I get it, it's a passage maker. But Nordhavn always seems to lack in the accommodations area! The rest of the yacht is superb to my liking.
I like the host. Well informed, good English
Thank you! - Jack

I'm getting ready to watch the video, however. I already know there's one engine, no thanks, but I do like the boats. ❤
It has a wing engine as well…
Sweet. Yet another thing I can't afford. Who am I kidding, I couldn't afford the dingy on the top deck.
Of all the boats you’ve done Jack this one can actually outpace all of them. Yeah it’s OK to go 40 kn but it won’t get you very far.
I like your walk through, but there was a lot I felt messing. The cabins and heads were not fully shown and things like cabinets and wardrobes were not opened and those were some things I really hoped to see.

Daha fazla nordhavn bekliyorum n68 çekebilir misiniz
Nice
30000 litres fuel capacity😂? It has a third of that: 9464 litres. Would not have the space for that amount of fuel
Correct - a slip of the tongue, apologies! - Jack
prices please
In the data at the beginning of the video…

We’ll do our best!
Why would you have tenders on the foredeck on a truly sea-going motor yacht? Seems a bit odd to me. Nice boat though otherwise (as might be expected).
Fuel capacity is NOT 30,000 litres ! No where near that ! According to Nordhavn website 'only' 9.464 litres.
You are absolutely right, apologies! - Jack
Nordhavns are a gimmick yacht for a select few grandparents. There are far better yachts with equal range but also a better hull design so you can go faster than walking if you wish.
This boat will turn heads. That's a problem.

At last a proper boat, not a show boat
Ahh - My favorite brand. You could have done a 2 hour video and still not cover everything. This is most certainly not a Princess which will burn the same amount of fuel to go 500 miles.
6 knots!? My god, you should really fear a head current of 3 knots! Too slow 😅
Gotta think like a sailor with these bad boys!
i wish they designed a better looking door, their door look so out of place.
Since when is 3000 nm considered an "insane" range?
Faulty use of the word,'insane', in the title does not inspire confidence. Nobody is going to be fishing from the stern area, not with that overhang.
Single Engine , No Thanks
What makes you say that?
It's a pity that you fly through a boat in such a short time, for example, an aquaholic just stands still in an on-suite.
Take more time to show some.
Time limitations at a boat show makes these shoots challenging given they way we film them but point taken, thanks 👍
INSANE just cheapens you..
