Man, I hated Chip in the tutorial, and it was SOOOO LOOOONG. He literally told you how to do every single move, one level for each one. I still hope to get the PS3/Xbox 360 version so I enjoy it better
The SD version of Unleashed doesn't forces you to collect Sun an Moons medals, collecting a certain amount of stuff to progress through the story shouldn't be a thing in a Sonic game, a SPECIALLY if the game about going fast, the best way Sonic Team couldv'e made it fun to collect is if they were part of your ranking system, just in Rush Adventure.

The reason why this game and other Sonic games around it had “filler” stuff like the Werehog was to ensure you wouldn’t beat the game in a few hours. While the point of the game is to complete the levels as fast as you can, I don’t think SEGA would want to continuously spend years working on Sonic games only for them to be completed in a day or two.

Oh so THAT is why you can turn off the tutorial messages from generations onwards!
Unlike this one, the HD ports of Unleashed never made the tutorial messages freeze you, so maybe it could’ve just been for veteran players.
You can also turn off the tutorial in Colors.

@@noemisango8478 That’s exactly what the SD version of Unleashed does! You can get up to 3 Sun/Moon medals depending on the rank you get.
They both have their pros and cons. The PS2/Wii has a lot of advantages over the HD port and vice versa.
