And they are too dumb to realize they just proved him right. Although, I wouldn’t expect people who believe in that junk to be even average level in intelligence.
What i don't understand is he told a story about a trans friend. It was funny but to me pretty heartfelt. This man did nothing wrong at all. And honestly if people don't like what he says they don't have to watch. Rhe state of our country/society is ridiculous.
“Apologize publicly!” Dave - “no.” “you offended us! “ “I don’t care” “……(whispers) can he do that? What do we do now?” “(Whispers) I …I don’t know….no ones ever said that. “
Deep down, comedy is just the truth in the form of a joke. Dave happens to be very good at exposing the truth through humor. This threatens purveyors of Lies
Not always , sometimes it’s funny because it’s not the truth and it’s obviously not the truth , it’s just funny it’s being said , like when he makes fun of his wife. Humour isn’t always the truth sometimes it’s the complete opposite which makes it funny. I think that’s why you have to be intelligent to truly understand and enjoy Chapelle because I think all his jokes come from a place of love he’s just a smart ass and it’s funny he’s saying it whether he actually means it or not

Maybe we should see each other as individuals instead of ambassadors of some preconceived "community". Maybe we can see each other as having our own thoughts instead of being seen as adherents to a preconceived "narrative". I don't belong to any army. Lets meet on our own terms.
In Dave Chappell’s special The Closer, he said “In America, you can literally kill a man, but you better not hurt a gay man’s feelings” and right now the alphabet community is proving him right
The outrage over the closer was beyond mind boggling. He paid tribute to his friend Daphnee, who you could clearly see he was getting emotional over. He’s a comedian ….he tells jokes to talk through his feelings. If you can’t handle jokes don’t watch a comedy.
I’ve followed him and recognize him as hilarious and a genius. But he refers to himself as a transphobe, so his trans humor won’t be appreciated by everyone because calling himself a transphobe adds an aspect of intent to his jokes.
@@bobbyjbobbyj he also states how Daphne who is transgender, he is friends with. He is going to help her child. Theres lots of things that can be misconstrued about a joke. He also stated, at the Mark Twain awards when he was a recipient, that he was gay. Should that mean he is? He is married to a woman with two kids. After every show on Netflix says something about her in the credits. He truly loves his wife.
@@mariewilliams8859 I’m not attacking him. I think he’s hilarious, a genius and a good person. I’m only saying why some people may not appreciate his humor about the trans community. He sends positive messages but then calls himself a transphobe. I’m just saying the outrage isn’t mind-boggling. It’s understandable that some won’t appreciate him since he has a side to his humor and personality that gives a different vibe. I’ve followed him closely for years, and even I can’t completely pin down his true views on what he calls the “Alphabet Community.” But he’s good people when it comes down to it.

I stand with right. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and think of offing myself. I’m a military veteran and I’ve been hitting the bottle heavy. Just the fact that the 2nd amendment is being attacked again is sick. They say history repeats itself and I’ve seen a lot of coincidences with puppet Biden and Muhammad Gaddafi, Adolf, Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin, Idi Amin, and Fidel Castro, among others. All these “leaders” took guns away from civilians and then committed atrocities against their own people. Over 100 million people were slaughtered. I truly appreciate Ben's comments about Dave and Rowling. He says that he probably disagrees with about everything else that they say even poking fun at Ben is OK. If the left would just stop being so offended and politically correct to the point where you cant even open your mouth, this would unite us without a doubt.
There are a lot of us on the left who agree w/ Dave and Rowling, and we are staunch advocates of free speech--until recently it was primarily the left that opposed censorship, not the right, and many of us still do. Many of us are concerned w/ bread and butter economic issues, and believe the focus of the "woke left" is misguided and harmful. A lot of people on the right aren't aware that there is a massive division on the left over these issues. And I believe the "right" and "left" have more in common than is usually acknowledged--corporate media and the two parties want to keep us divided and want to pit us against one another, which we need to resist.
@@emileconstance5851 Most people aren’t insane like the far left & far right, they just want to provide for themselves. I’ve got a couple left leaning friends, and as long as we can have a respectful conversation about our opinions, I’ll still have a drink with them.
@@emileconstance5851 "corporate media and the two parties want to keep us divided and want to pit us against one another, which we need to resist." Yes, we should resist. The question is, how, and what do you have in mind? Do you mean by just saying that you don't fully agree with the woke every time the question comes up? The problem is that it seems like much of the left is happy with keeping the power of the woke left alive, even if they don't personally agree with half the stuff the woke left believe, or at least claim to believe -- their personal disagreement doesn't seem to matter much in the practical reality. If someone wants to stand up to a powerful left-wing company, you just hear crickets, or people get mad at you or make fun of you. Now think of the math... if you say that a good chunk of the left are not radical, and yet so many people are willing to cancel somebody, I'm sorry, but, then it logically follows that a lot of the non-radical left must be jumping on that bandwagon. If it was just some 5% group, like a group of radical people that were cancellers, then you would barely notice many cancellations. Sure, the corporations in charge could use their power to cancel, but they would be facing like 80% backlash or some insane number, if most people were not on board with this, or at least, very willing to tolerate it when it's their political opponents. I recognize that much of the right is also shy to go against the corporate left, and want to be "a good leftist" and "call out their own people on the right" who say something "hateful." They are perhaps scared of something. The problem though, is that, who is it that makes the right scared? I would think, the right call their own people out sometimes because they are afraid of the left. And when I say "left," yes, that's more than some small group of 5-10% of the population or something -- it's a significant amount of people, and mathematically it would need to include many of the so-called "moderate leftists." So while I am perfectly willing to believe that most on the left are not nearly as woke or into censorship as the leftist elites are (and realistically, who knows how much even the leftist elites believe in their ideology as much as the power that professing it gives them, how they can decide who can and can't have a career and such), the problem is that simply not fully believing in woke ideology clearly isn't enough motivation for you to try to decrease its power -- many "moderate leftists" still want to have power over people, and the right is an easy target. They want their ideology to be backed with power, so they just gaslight you about leftist cancel culture, because they want their opinions to be littered in the media because of the feeling of power and comfort it gives them, and that's what happens when a given ideology is in control of the media. If enough of you let that go, who would be left to cancel people? Netflix (for example) would be terrified for 80% of people to hate them for canceling somebody, and then the radical leftists on twitter would be this small irrelevant group that the majority would just laugh at (imagine, say, incels, who wouldn't be believed let alone wouldn't be listened to for two seconds before being laughed at). Then the right wouldn't be so scared because there wouldn't be so many leftists with whom they would have to stay on good terms. The point is, it's easy to just type words and say you don't believe half of what the woke says, while still enjoying the benefits of powerful organizations that agree with your ideology overall. It's much harder to deal with when every commercial you watch when you try to do something is about feminism, and you have to remind yourself, you're not seeing it all the time because it must be true, but because the kind of people with this opinion, are the ones in control of media, and want to push it on everyone. But leftists who believe in feminism are used to having their beliefs reassured just from watching commercials, and it could be about anything, and it'll have a narrative of the woman being good and the man being bad or stupid (after all, it's hard to have commercials that don't have men and women, as men and women are pretty common organisms). Imagine that -- you're just watching a TV show for fun, and then, bonus points, while enjoying the humor of the show, you also get psychological support for your beliefs because, even if you're not watching a political TV show, political themes are in so many things, you can watch just about anything and feel like you are in a pleasant echo chamber (and obviously, the opposite applies for the folks on the political right). The power and money the left has in the media explains that, and you don't want that to go away. You don't want that feeling of control and political safety to go away. So you would rather keep the safety, and just type some milquetoast words on UA-cam every now and then to gaslight the right. Yes, a lot of leftists are merely acting like sheep even when they don't fully believe the powerful corporate left, but being sheep in large numbers and giving them your money is largely what makes them powerful to begin with, and you just don't seem too passionate about getting a lot of leftist friends together to maybe take your money elsewhere, or at least refuse to jump on a given cancelling bandwagon and call out those that do. At the very, very least, if you, along with supposedly a large percentage of leftists are merely being a sheep and not a "true woke believer," then at least have sympathy for those who don't want to be sheep, as sheep life isn't for everyone -- when people try to cancel the non-sheep, at least recognize that the non-sheep is just not trying to be a sheep, and maybe they're actually not the most hateful person on the planet or something -- that (purportedly large) group of sheep leftists could be pretty useful by just recognizing that.
@@emileconstance5851 I could be wrong but it sounds to me like you are a Liberal, not a leftist, which over the years I've learned there is a big difference between the two. @@neillenet291 Depending on what country you live in, the term "liberal" is used differently. You're referring to "classical liberals," who were concerned w/ liberty and freedom. But in the US, today, people typically use "liberal" to refer to centrist or corporate Democrats, and "leftist" to refer to those who are left of center and primarily concerned w/ economic issues--they could be social democrats (small "d") or democratic socialists, for example. Leftists tend to believe that "woke" politics are largely a distraction from more essential issues, like those dealing w/ economic concerns or issues of war and peace (foreign policy), etc. Of course there are some leftist who go in for "woke" politics, but historically we have opposed censorship and are typically free speech maximalists. Most liberals--Dem Party supporters, for example--tend to support various forms of censorship (by government or by corporations) and believe free speech should be limited/policed.

@@emileconstance5851 "corporate media and the two parties want to keep us divided and want to pit us against one another, which we need to resist."
Yes, we should resist.
And when I say "left," yes, that's more than some small group of 5-10% of the population or something -- it's a significant amount of people, and mathematically it would need to include many of the so-called "moderate leftists."
So while I am perfectly willing to believe that most on the left are not nearly as woke or into censorship as the leftist elites are (and realistically, who knows how much even the leftist elites believe in their ideology as much as the power that professing it gives them, how they can decide who can and can't have a career and such), the problem is that simply not fully believing in woke ideology clearly isn't enough motivation for you to try to decrease its power -- many "moderate leftists" still want to have power over people, and the right is an easy target.
Liberals believe in freedom and liberty, leftists believe in banning the things they don't like and making mandatory the things they do like.
