I am not a fan of Abba Ayalew and I have never thought I will agree with him on any subject but on this one he is right on point..African Spirituality is an attempt to define the spiritual realm according to physical boundaries but as we are taught in the Bible that is not how it works. The physical realm has symbols and pattern to help us mortals comprehend the workings of the spiritual realm, as it is beyond our human comprehension.

4:44 Please break down your example. I don't understand when you say spiritualism "makes you look like". Is it not that the religion an individual is affiliated with, is what "makes you look like" (laws set by it, etc.)?
When we talk about spirit, kahle kahle what/who are we talking about?
The concept of the word spirit, where is it from, how does it speak or link to a human?

Spirituality and religion will never be the same.Dont say African Spirituality divides and religion is bringing people together.. Religion alone has so many sets and sub-sets,each believing and preaching their dogma saying its the right one .How is that connecting people to this one God entity?

Now we atleast cam appeal to a Unifying authority which is the bible. Spirituality on the other hand, has no authority to appeal to.

First you need to define what spirituality is. Oxford’s definition is: the quality of been concered with the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things. Spirit: non-phyisical part of a person which is the seat of emotions and character.
Spirit, soul and spirituality are concepts that can mean anything anyone wants, they are confusing because they are not based on fact.
No one can ever prove that a spirit/soul exist and thus the term spirituality as defined in Oxford dictionary means that one is concerned about something that is not clearly defined, not proven if it exist.
People like to believe without evidence that their body is a container of themselves or something that is really them, that cannot be seen, something that survives death, depending in the culture or tradition that something is either in hevean or hell, been literally burnt, but it is not visible, or enjoying in hevean, having a voice singing for ever.
At the same time the other believes that, that something that cannot be proven survives death and becomes an ancestor, without a body it can either punish you, if you do not slaughtet for it so that it gets blood and say certain words, it sees, hear and can make you lucky, get a job, or can make you suffer, car accident or kill your loved ones.
Another person that, that something when you die, will be survives death and gets re-incernated depending on your level of your spiritual development(woo-woo meaning spiritual), you can either be born a cat, a mouse,a fly or a cow etc.
With what I have explained then both the content maker and Abba are wrong. Spirituality can be defined by who believes it, and those who believe them, i.e Hindu spirituality is different to the indigenous European spirituality(Wickers later labeled Pagans by the arrival of Christianity); Africans witn the belief of amadlozi, what they define as spirituality is different to that of Rastafari of Abba, whereby Selassie is a re-incarnate deity, lion of Judah, even though Ras Haile Selassie explained to the founders of the Rastafari movement that he is a human being not a deity incernate, whose spiituality is based on the teachings of the Coptic Church.
In short Christianity spirituality will also vary and is defferent to that of Muslims, Rastas etc. Jehovah’s Witnesses have a slightly different variation of spirituality from that of Catholicism and other Christianity, so is that of the Mormons and the Scientology.
I have demonstrated that we can put a label on what each person or group believes, because the woo-woo word soul and spirituality is depended on what people believe and they believe differently, therefore they cannot have the same spirituality concepts.

You believe that we are created by the same God. That is not true, it is possible that you all wrong because you use the same methodology on concluding that your God or Gods created us.

No. Rastafarism is not anything African belief, it is an Abrahamic belief. It believes in the Bible, Jah and Jesus, that is not African.
Christianity is also a foreign tradition based on three amalgamated cultures traditions and beliefs, part of Hebrew(Isreal old traditions) culture and traditions/beliefs based on Old Testament/ 1st century Jewish culture, beliefs and traditions(New Testament) baptism, dressing in long gowns like the clothes either worn by Isreal/Jewish priest and as well ordinary people(by most of the church leaders), breaking of bread, acting like cannibals oretending you are eating flesh and drinking the blood of a God who once walked on earth. The European traditions and culture is very obvious, Chrismas( Solstice celebration of 25 Dec) as the fake birth of God when it was the birth of the Sun. Nicean creed and the adoption of trinity, European decorum in churches, dressing as expected in European business decorum. Worshipping on Sunday rather than on Saturday, allowing the eating of all foods that were traditionally forbidden in Jewish culture and get rid of circumcision because those are foreign in the European culture( Paul was living in a European culture in Turkey that was once a Greek world and later a Roman world). Baptizing babies is European, it is found in the book that did not make it in the Bible, written in the Roman workd ofcourse(anyway all New Testament is written in the Roman world language, Greek), Didache.
Wearing black in funerals is a European thing, white wedding is a European thing, brough to us by Christianity.
So please stop thinking that the traditions of Christians are universal naturally, they were brought to the world through colonialisation conquer of most of the world.
Crusedars and colonialisation used violence and deceit in introducing Christianity in the world.

Fundiseka! There is no such a thing called African Spirituality. Ubungoma nobunyanga is not African Spirituality but a form of divinity and healing. These are indigenous healers however in Africa a derogatory terms such as witch doctor was used by missionaries who happen to call theirs sharman to indoctrinate Africans to shun their gift of healing. Bantu keep Usiko( culture and traditions) and these are same if not similar to Judaism. Ubuthakathi (sorcery or witchcraft) is not and never was the so called African Spirituality. Sorcery is the very tool used by God of Israel to create 10 plagues of Egypt that freed the Israelites from bondage.
Today Christians teach our young that Usiko and Ubungoma is witchcraft, truly anyone who forsakes his traditions is a fool.

@@B4Africa Thanks for inviting me to comment on dark side of ubungoma.
Ubungoma is healing the body and aligning the the body with the spirit. Our bodies are a chemical factory, a slightest misalignment of our chemical composition leads to sickness, should this sickness prolongs it then leads to a disease. If this disease is not cured, it then leads to a total collapse of this chemical factory ( our body ) . This we call death.
Ubuthakathi on the other hand is not the dark side of ubungoma, it is sorcery. There are many examples of this sorcery and curses in the bible, this you call God’s power in an attempt to musk it’s true nature. There are many examples, these include :
      1. 10 plagues of Egypt
      2. Moses told to make a bronze snake - Numbers 21
      4. Gen 28 curses etc, etc
Ubuthakathi is harnessing the very dark power that the God of Israel used to fight his foes on his quest to lead the Children of Israel to the promise land.
Sorcery existed for millennia pre biblical times, it is not the invention of UBungoma. The demons that Jesus cast out are a product of sorcery not Ubungoma . Hope this helps you to deconstruct from self hate.

@dumitshabs8719 Thanks for the reply. However you clearly didn't watch the videos. 1. If someone heals you by sending back to the sender and its the only way to heal, how different is that from the one who sent it. Who is umthakathi. 2 sides of the same coin. 2. Gogo Skhotheni exposes that what you call abathakathi is izangoma. She is a Sangoma and says 70% of her clients come there to destroy other people. So please go watch the 2 videos I sent you and then comment in that context.

    • @dumitshabs8719
      @dumitshabs8719 Місяць тому

@@B4Africa I am sorry to burst your bubble, you got it all wrong. For starters Gogo Skhotheni is a self proclaimed witch who happens to be an initiated Sangoma. There are also plenty man and women of God who are witches, these persons use the dark side to lure their congregants into their churches for gain and power and nothing else.
Healing by ubunyanga does not happen through return to sender, return to sender is ubuthakathi and this is called impinda. Once you do that you have crossed the line, you are umthakathi and no longer Isangoma or iNyanga.
UbuNyanga heal through cleansing not by casting spells. Onyl sorcerers cast spells and do return to sender rituals. Ubunyanga is similar / same to western physicians, they use same medicines albeit packaged and processed differently.
Western beliefs demonised African Healing methods, the irony is all their medicines, synthetic or natural come from the same plants given to us by God. Inyangas don’t touch or come near a dead body hence they do not do surgical procedures. Western doctors on the other hand do surgical procedures having practiced on the dead corpses (cadavers).

      @dumitshabs8719 Місяць тому

@@B4Africa this is a follow up to my response:
If you read your Bible you will discover that African traditions that defines our culture are from the Hebrew Bible. These include ukusoka( circumcision) , right of passage ( imbeleko, umhlonyanae, umemulo etc) , amalobolo ( dowry) , ukuvusa umuzi womfowenu( mating with wife of dead brother solely for procreation).
Please read Leviticus 21 and you will understand why Izinyanga don’t touch or come near a dead body as per my previous post.
This I mention to show you that many unsuspecting and bible illiterate Christians have been misled with the intention to break social fabric of African families and whitewash their history and heritage.
On most of your videos you always touch on racism. I so wish you have travelled extensively as I have locally and abroad and see what our black brothers and sisters are subjected to by their white counterparts.
I am always picked-on at airports due to my skin colour and for producing a South African passport. In top tier hotels without fail the staff at check-in counters always ask “ can I help you” rather than “ can I check you in Sir and do you need assistance with your luggage?” as they always do to with white folks.
Billions of Black people believe in God yet they live is squalor due to laws and systems of exclusion created by whites who then teach them / us that we are the same in the eyes of God. Of course we are not the same in their eyes, dare I say.
So,please do not include race in matters of faith , it shows how little you know about this world we live in , the history of your country and origins of religions.
