Seconded! He is brilliant, not just in his playing, but also in his craftsmanship. Anyone who wants to play Irish music is welcome to do so. That is part of the amazing soft power that being Irish carries with it.... I know of Irish music groups in Serbia, Croatia, and Czechia. I have heard uilleann pipers from Japan, Indonesia and China. And probably the best guitar player I ever heard in a session was a Chinese guy in an Irish pub in Boston. Irish people sometimes don't appreciate the massively positive image we enjoy around the world.
Lovely playing alex. That's a nicely balanced set you have there. I think we met out in Bill Hanermans a while ago. I saw your man there goin on about ornamentation and while he has a point I wouldn't agree in regard to you. Some piper's make shit of tunes with the amount of ornamentation the put in but I think the amount you have here is grand. I wouldn't be too heavy on the auld rolls myself just doesn't suit my style but ya can go wrong with Crans haha , you make a brilliant sound in your own style and tge ornamrbtaction suits it 🖒( only thing I would pull you up on is speed just slow it down it makes no odds to the listener and be god its be eaiser on yourself)I heard paddy keenan playing these tunes once and christ if somone had shown me this without me looking I would have sworn it was paddy himself! keep her lit and hopefully we'll meet again 😊🖒
Would there be any way i could get a copy of the notes you use for the bucks of oranmore, struggling to find notes similar to this version and have the other 3 tunes learned. It would be much appreciated, Thanks
I was probably spoilt by listening to pipers in the 60's and 70's your playing is ok, as my father preached the dancer sets the timing not the piper. too fast I believe yet I am a no body.
Gets me missing home but in a good way. Thankyou 🍀💚👍

I'm Irish and I do believe that the "Bucks of Aranmore" is a Scottish tune. There's no such tune as the "Bucks of Oranmore".
Nice
Thanks Billy!
Honest ? What do you think, honest and virtuose, that is!
duss46 Thank you for nice comments!!!
Would you be able to send me a copy of the notes for all of these tunes please?
One C major, 3 B flats and the odd F sharpe
