Great podcast, killer info. Thanks Jamie and Moonshine!
What a great dealership! Connecting with people. And staff are true enthusiast not just having a job at a dealership. So, cool. I can't wait to be in the area to visit this awesome place.
We appreciate it! We’ll see you when you get here 🔥
None of those other vehicles are sold at MSRP. Prep is paid from the manufacturer to the dealership and usually not passed along to the customer. Most vehicles I've purchased have been at dealer invoice or below. These prices are bonkers. Never talk payment talk price OTD.
Great discussion. Keep rockin' it guys.
Thanks Matt! We need you on the podcast 🔥 Come on out to Tennessee!
Hey Matt, how come you’re the only dealership I know of in California that actually gives the sales price of a new motorcycle online? It’s because of this I took the extra time to drive out of my region and purchased my second new Harley Davidson from you. Your dealership was also transparent on all the fees above MSRP, (i’ll give you that).
I just wasn’t too crazy how there was no movement from the dealership to absorb ‘some’ of those extra fees in 2022.
Your father actually came out to the parking lot while I was loading my new bike and smoothed it over. He’s a really nice man. He agreed that supply chain issues at that time were creating havoc.
It seems like every dealer has a disclaimer that says: “Call for price.” That riding in the Ozarks UA-camr says dealerships can get in big trouble for posting the wrong price? Is this true?
Can you provide some context as to why Harley Davidson dealerships won’t advertise the price online? All the secretive pricing really leaves customers with a bad taste in their mouth and a dent in their wallet
GREAT podcast....love the info!
Good Stuff Guys !!!
NEVER tell the dealer what you want your payments to be!
Happy to see you out here doing what you do.
Always a bunch of useful information! 👌
Always a great presentation! 👍
@@dmitrykhramov1832 Thank You! If
You have any topic you’d like us to discuss…let us know.
Good topic that doesn't get discussed
That’s what we thought too.
This is great valuable information. Well articulated guys.
My dealer was throwing everything they could at me 😂. I never buy anything I can't afford to do maintenance out of pocket, including tires. Walked out the door at 29500 without financing a maintenance plan. My mind was set on not paying 30k for a bike. That's what I stuck with. Setting a budget off payments is never a good ideal. Then, I adjust my down payment off what I'm willing to pay monthly.
This is badass!
🙏
What you didn’t discuss is what if I want to finance my parts but i want them to be non-hd parts? Like I want one of your moonshine kits with S&S parts ? I don’t want restrictive performance parts as I live in Canada where the EPA doesn’t matter
Debt for vehicles sucks
Very informative
Thanks!
An idea for #002 or future that i'd like to see is where is the break even point between getting a non CVO and a CVO. You guys talked about the additional financing that can be used for upgrades and my question is at what point does it make more sense to just step up to a better equipped model instead of dumping money into a base model.
As an example, I would probably never purchase a low rider ST because I will more than likely swap all the parts that make the ST an ST for something better (engine and suspension mainly). i.e. I suspect I'd be better off with a standard to save money up front and then do what I want to it which is probably the same work I'd do to an ST. Same comparison could be made for the roadglide.
I wasn't expecting a finance video 😖,
on being able to go even deeper in debt...😵💫
Disappointing.
But I guess most people are in debt up to their eyeballs....
Just like our Country.
Go get their money guys !!!
Lol
The problem with adding all these add-ons as soon as you ride off the lot the bike is worth 10-15% less than what you bought it for.. a helmet, jackets, and other accessories really doesn't increase the value of the bike itself. You will instantly be in a negative equity situation from day☝️.
I have never seen a Harley dealership offer a trade-in value that matches the payoff for a bike with extended warranty's or accessory add on's. Bad financial decision if money matters to you. 🤔 MSRP already has a 3500-$4000 markup as it is.
Predatory loans, they try to squeeze in a 7k oil change package into the monthly before you agree to it
Imagine a $700, $800, $850 monthly payment for a bike, not including your insurance cost, paying full retail plus interest.
WEPA!🔥🔥🔥
🎉🎉
Great information, guys. But very dangerous information to us horsepower junkies.
Jeff
@@mostlycrue be careful!!!🤪
Yeah but then you pay interest on a bunch of aftermarket parts and accessories. Sounds cool if you don’t think about it in the long term lol
@@Yolonda69420 financing clothes and aftermarket stuff is never a good ideal. Bad financial decision.
My new bike is there as we speak . Moonshine took great care of me . Can’t wait to pick up my new bike .
Can’t wait for you to see it!
Not sure why Harley financial isn’t coming up with a lease option. This would work good for cvo’s . Pay the residual value, ride it for two or three years and get the new model.
Harley does have a leasing program, its a new program called H-D Flex Financing. Give us a call if you'd like more info. 615-771-7775
NEVER finance accessories!!!!
Ha! The price of those ‘glides, you better be riding and enjoying that bike every week. Redonkulous! I see far too many HD’s posing in garages. Or on Marketplace. The great marketing machine makes everyone think they need one or ready for one, only to sadly find out… ‘meh, this ain’t (or is too much) for me’.
The salesman hopefully explains all this available funds
I wish my dealers talked about possibly adding extras to the bike
Make sure you ask them, now you have the knowledge 👊
Only thing I would mention is you can’t look into older bike when their value in blue book might not be the best reflection of the motorcycle. Like a older anniversary or CVO 😢
Disclaimer:
I watched only until 14:05 b4 I punched out..
I thought I was gonna get tips and tricks on how to purchase a new Harley for a great price. And by great price,, I mean under MSRP, or even under invoice like car dealerships prior to Covid. I’m on my third new Harley in the past 7 yrs, and anytime I ask the dealership to see the invoice there’s always an excuse to skirt my legal right to view it. Sounds like this video was a huge sales pitch to get people to finance over 100% (sometimes up to 150% ) of a depreciating asset. Sounds smart:/ It’s like our business model reads:
“Anything we can do to make it easier to get more money out of a potential financially challenged individual with legal financing we’ll do it” 👍😢
What’s next? Finance my wife?
Why is it that I can get a better deal on a brand new $35,000 MSRP car and not on a $35,000 Harley Davidson? Dealers tell me the margins are different for motorcycles. I understand the dealerships gotta make a little money, but being transparent on what the dealership is actually making off my motorcycle sale would help everybody. There’s gotta be a better purchasing model out there. It’s either get raped by the Steeler, or purchase brand new (currently EV only😔) on line but have no real dealer support. I know it sounds like I’m whining about my first world problems, but God dammit man! This whole operation sucks
not paying that California tax you can keep it.
i messed up Traded my 24 FXLRST for a Road glide Fast Johnnie now Dealers wont even take it back as a trade in against a FXLRST and only has 300 miles (just ride back from buying it )
👏👏👏👏👏🫡💯🥃
Why should the customer pay for freight? If you didn't have it in the store you couldn't sell it. Same with "dealer prep". Seems a bit of a scam.
Waw 31 grand. I wish. In canada fucking RG special is 52 thousand plus 13 percent tax
Maybe time to make a trip to Tennessee 😉
HD Financial is a shit show.
Unless your General Motors and they don’t care about repeat business. They are dead to me due to the way I was treated on my 2018 Traverse
" Only 96 more payments and it's ALL MINE "....
