Unless the military dumped her body in the museum without sterilizing or incinerating the corpse, it’s very unlikely she turned post-mortem.

@Bubonict: Yes, I know and it sucks that not only do we actually see it happen, we cannot do anything about it. Its the same with the kid later on in the Suburbs, this game really plays with your emotions and I hope the sequel continues the trend.

nah... even compared to any TWD (Any season), I have to say that Last of Us is on the top tier and much better.. the creator knows how to fully emphasize the bond between one character to another character with those dialogues and communications.. TWD1 still has some lacking factors imo
"She's infected" Ellie says, and everyone is like "What?!"
You know, with all of the swearing in this game (especially Ellie's), I started to wonder who actually says 'fuck', because it is a severe, more modern swear word and in today's world, it's hardly used by anyone older than 30 (rough estimate). I started to notice that, although everyone swears in this game, Joel basically never says 'fuck'. I thought this was the same for Tess, but then she says "just fucking go" in this scene. And then it dawned upon me that Tess (and maybe Marlene too) is one of the only characters in this game that is actually from the mid-to-late-nineties. If I had to guess she's probably in her late thirties, let's say 38 or something. Since this game takes place in 2033-2034, this means she'd be born in 1995, which means she'd fit right into the generation in today's teenagers. Everyone else seems either too young or too old. Ellie is 14, meaning she was born in 2019 (which is weird to think about). Riley is two years older. Joel and BIll both look like they're approaching their fifties (so does David), so they're a bit too old, and as for Tommy... he looks to be very young in the prologue (2013), probably no older than 25. Now I do remember him saying "you got fucking old" when he sees Joel.... I'll give him a pass.
What I'm getting at is that Naughty Dog seemed to actually pay attention to what characters use the word 'fuck' as a swear word, depending on how old they are and what world they grew up in. I know this is somewhat insignificant, but it's little details like this that make me love this game so much.

This game has great detail & the reason why it'll go down in history as one of the best ever is because of all the thought that was put into it much like the description of the characters you did here. That's what keeps ppl invested in the game after so many years.

also and this is not related to this scene in general but I really like how they portray the characters in this game which is emotionally traumatised when it comes to the disease where you clearly how being infected is the same as a death sentence for a grave sin

henry killing sam with no second thought knowing that it was his little brother that he killed
marlene blatantly breaking her promise to Ellie's mother for looking after her just for the slightest chance they'd be able to find a cure even though they tried to do so with others (and yes there is a tape recorder that proves it it's just that Joel lied)

When infected, it takes three days to turn to a Runner. Three weeks after turning into a Runner, you've got the Stalkers. Six months to turn to a Clicker. And a year and a half after turning into a Clicker, you have the Bloaters.
Keep in mind, each stage resets the time of the next process. And once turned into a Stalker, the soul is long gone after that.
In game, it takes years to become a clicker, Tess mention it in the skyscrapper.
Doesn't bloaters take like 10 years?

I really did like Tess like it sucks we only get to see her shortly. If people don't know how she was bitten, she was attack by that zombie after Joel killed the zombie trying to break the door.
That scene hits much differently now with her actress passing away recently.
I wonder how different things would have been if Tess had lived.
Everything would be different. Not just the overall plot, but how this story would end.

I’m watching the TV show adaptation on HBO, and having played the original game beforehand, I got that on the PlayStation 4 with the Ellie prequel chapter on it, I’ll be dreading how Tess will meet her demise in the show. When that happens, I’ll post my thoughts on it.
Rest in peace to Annie Wersching, the actress who played Tess in the video game. She was taken away from us so suddenly on the day Episode 3 of the show aired. My deepest condolences go to her relatives, her husband and their three sons. Cancer is just a terrible disease.
Okay, now that I seen the episode, I can talk about how they did her death in the show. This was much more different than the video game. Rather than let the soldiers gun her down after killing a few of them, she blows up a building as hundreds of Infected swarm the Fireflies mobile base. Personally, I liked the video game depiction of her death, for at least she went down fighting before the soldiers put her would-be infected life out of her misery. For the show, she went out with a bang by dousing the floor with gasoline, dumping grenades out of a box and onto the floor and as the Infected get ready to tear her to pieces, she lights the complex up with her lighter, killing her and whatever fungus-laden creatures was able to make it with her. If you liked the way she died in the show, it’s alright, but I personally liked how Tess went down in the video game because she did kill some soldiers before she was taken care of. For the show, she did not stand a chance against the Infected and wanted to take them out before they would do any more damage to her. But if you haven’t seen the show, go watch it now on either HBO or HBO Max if you have not got it already, it is wonderful. So, that’s my thoughts on her death in the show, feel free to comment your opinions down below.
