Hello Nick, this is flat-out the best photo critique video I have seen yet! Not only is your analysis spot-on and covers all the important aspects, but you also give awesome editing tips! PLEEEAZZZE, do more of these!
What I’m getting out of these critiques, is the fact that it gets me thinking more critically about the photos that I’ve captured recently and to revisit them again and as not be satisfied with “…well, that’s good enough…” thanks for the motivation Nick!
Packed full of awesome insights, advice, techniques and wrapped up with a honest viewpoint too!! Bravo to all who submitted their shots also !! Well done Mr. P
Hi Nick, it´s always great to hang out with you . Admittedly, I also saw the weaknesses but also the strengths of the pictures fairly quickly, but if only it comes to my own pictures I'm kind of blind, and more sessions of this kind would be great.
Not me. I have to look at my photos a couple times a week & I might not see something for a month or more, saying to myself, dmm, Can't believe I missed that. That is where doing a test print helps me out.
Fantastic video review and advices. The trick of the adjustments with the curves is masterful. I am very grateful for your comments on my photos. For me it is a true honor and I am very happy. Looking forward to see your next videos. Greetings from Zamora
I love these. You are so constructive and respectful in your criticism. Even if none of these were my images, I found the video really inspiring and helpful to what to look for when I try to compose/edit my own photos.
Thank you Nick! I agree with other folks! This was most helpful! Please, PLEASE do this type of content weekly! Thank you as always for being such an incredible inspiration!
Alberto's shots were amazing! Not that the others' were bad, but this guy is on another level. Great editing tips too, thanks! Hope my shot get's picked next time :)
You're one of my favourites whether it's tutorials like this or out in the environment. I hope you can continue to make these. I have supported you a few times in the past. I hope to see you around here.
Great critique session - would love to see more of these! The honest feedback together with the suggestions for how to improve the image is a super useful combination. Thanks Nick!
Yes, Keep them coming. You are a God sent. This critique session { just by chance} met me right where I'm at in my art studies. (I don't believe in by chances}.You Have the gift of teaching, Thanks so much.
Wealth of knowledge. I didn’t NOT know about the Photoshop Curves embedded option. Thank you Nick. That is super helpful and makes a HUGE difference in photos. Wow!
Thank you for taking the time to do critiques! Your way of commenting and adding tips and tricks to repair some of the image issues is awesome!! I would LOVE to see a weekly series but I also know that it takes a lot of time to do these. The fixing blown highlights with foliage was mind blowing for me, I have fought with blown highlights in trees for years and OMG I felt dumb when you fixed that so easily LOL. The neutralizing colorcasts is a method that I have never seen before and will be SO helpful. I am now on my way back to my most recent work to relook at all of them with a better eye. Thank you, this is one of the most informative critiques that I have watched.
Thank you, Nick. This is really helpful. I need this type of input right now. Job well done. Many thanks to those who submitted photos; some beautiful images in the mix.
Really helpful video Nick! Immediately incorporated the curves hack to deal with color cast. A definite "sure wish I knew this earlier" moment for me, Thank you
Thanks Nick, great idea to make it as a weekly videos, I've learn so much from this, and by the way guys you have shoot stunning photos for this photo Critique.
It is absolutely useful. I have taken more than one of your suggestions to the field w me, and changed comp (for the better lol) because of it. These videos help make me a better photographer. And I am only one of the 13k folks who have seen this vid thus far.
Hi Nick. Really enjoyed your critique of the submitted pictures and agreed with pretty much most of your observations.....maybe I'll send some of my own in..... 😳
Hi Nick, thanks for this video and for this opportunity, I do think it helps all of us to develop a critical eye and improve our next shots from the beginning down to post processing them, as well as learning few tricks in PS! Thanks again, keep them coming!
Please, keep it up, it's a wonderful idea, even though I have not yet sent any images I'm looking forward to doing so at some point. Tks so much Nick, you're one of the very best in the field!
Hey Nick, thank you for taking the time to critique my image. Its a huge honor. All your suggestions are really spot on and I find them extremely helpful. I especially love the idea of reducing the complex foreground to create a simpler image. With that in mind, perhaps I will go back some day to take another shot.
Super!! I've always appreciated critiques of images, whether it's mine or another photographer's. I live in a very rural community that is limited in the amount of additional photog's who would be willing, or brave enough, to allow their work to be critiqued. So, I use youtube as a quasi-photo club. Honestly, some of what's being offered tend to put me to sleep(including a few of yours) but I'm wide awake and alert when critiques are given. Your critiques are very informative and impressive, so; DON'T STOP!!
I love this photo critique! I will create an action for your curves layer technique and use it often. Thanks and looking forward to seeing more critiques from you!
